You’re on the list, is it for an NTSC apple 2e?
-
The first batch is already reserved, I’ll keep one for you in the second batch.

Thank you!

A new controller SECOND BATCH AVAILABLE
YannAros replied to tanuki's topic in Intellivision / Aquarius
The five firsts "Disk On Right" controllers are ready for packing! Those are definitely not for me, the disk is OK but the buttons are not at the right place at all! -
Week-end is starting good:

A new controller SECOND BATCH AVAILABLE
YannAros replied to tanuki's topic in Intellivision / Aquarius
The Disk On Right versions aren't available yet. We should receive the (corrected) PCBs this week, I made a mistake in the first batch and the disk position was off by 4mm I will then have to recheck every dimensions and start the printing process, if nothing bad happens 50 (Disk On Right) will be sent out before end of the year. I'm spending lot of time on adapters, we didn't plan for so many of them to be purchased after the first poll. Those are time consuming to be soldered together! -
Thank you. Small updates: - Opponents are not staying blocked around the truck anymore - better Game Over music - Truck explosion animation added I'm working on freeing up GRAMs to manage obstacles on the road. I might need to rework many stuff to align GRAMs differently in order to allow more to be loaded in one frame. Asphalt.rom

Thank you for sharing this in your stream and really eager (and anxious) to get your feedback after having tested them. One clarification, the disk is having 12 switches allowing 16 directions, like the initial controller, there are some combinations of 2 switches that provide the same direction has having only one switch pressed. All 16 directions are possible with the disk and the thumb stick option, using the DPad you have only 4 switches in use and 8 directions possible, for games only using these directions it is more precise than having all directions possible. -
I found out that with IntyBasic if you have 2 tunes defined, one with 8 channels (using the ECS expansion) and one without (having only 4 channels) the second one is not played correctly, notes will be sent to the ECS (and therefore skipped if you do not have ECS and everything will be messed up. I've corrected the GameOver tune so that it plays correctly. Also, I didn't tell it before but intro screen tune is using ECS audio for a much better tune! Asphalt.rom

Final tests for the Apple 2e version, noise issue is resolved: Sound is also redirected to SCART. I've also finalised to route the board: And I've ordered some prototypes, now I have to wait for them to be build and delivered.

I've corrected the SW in first post and the opponents shouldn't be stucked anymore
-
Yes I need to correct this. For controls : - Up/Down moves the truck - Left/Right turns the turret clockwise / counter clockwise - Each button controls a different device: - Turret gun firing - Drop Mine behind the truck - Flamethrowers on both sides of the truck

Hi, This is a project that I've started some time ago and never finished. I'm sharing it here so that you can test and gve me your feedback, this will hopefully force me to finalise it. The game is complete, in the sense you can end it, but needs some polishing especially in the opponents IA. I'd like also to add some more difficulties, like obstacles on the road and road width variations. the game is a "remake" of an Amstrad CPC game, I've added a bit of a story behind: Here is the rom file : Asphalt.rom

A new controller SECOND BATCH AVAILABLE
YannAros replied to tanuki's topic in Intellivision / Aquarius
At the moment, only people in the green zone should place orders on the website. People having ordered while not in the green zone will not receive before we reach there position. It's just that we do not want to take your money too much in advance, especially not knowing when we will exactly be able to deliver. By Chritmas we should have another batch of ~150 controllers (first batch is 100). The second batch will also include the firsts "Disk On Right" controllers (I've messed up with the first PCBs and we need to produce new ones). The red line should be removed, at one point in time we wanted to stop pre-orders because we had already a full list. People didn't read the post and continued to ask being added to the list. We've reviewed our setup since (and I've buyed another 3D printer) to cover the orders in a "reasonable" timing, hopefully by end of next year everybody should be served. -
Slow progress on my side, too many projects going on in parallel. A link to the apple 2c version is available somewhere up in this thread. I still need to check that the correct buffering is done for the 2e version, I have too much noise with my prototype that is using too long cables, I need to redo all the wiring to ensure it is only a noise issue and not something wrong with the schematic.

The adapter also allows to use the original controllers in parallel to the new ones, the original controllers stay connected and a new dB9 port is provided for the new controllers. -

The production of the next batch is in progress, I would like to finish it before Christmas. -
Some progress on porting the RGB card to Apple 2e! The 64k/80col prototype is working: I'll finalize some tests on the RGB part schematics and will have some PCBs builds for testing the complete design in the next weeks. That's how the card is lookking right now:

The adapter is for ONE CONSOLE and provides two controller ports. So for a standard INTV 1 to be fully equipped you need: - 2 controllers - 1 adapter -

It shouldn’t be too long for the first batch to be sent out. Packaging must be finalised. -

One adapter is for one console and offers 2 ports, The standard setup for one Intellivision 1 is 2 controllers and 1 adapter -

I didn't notice these "Escher-esque" stripes until you mentionned them, but now each time I'm looking at the picture my mind makes knots -
Thank you @trash_44fr adding confusion is adding fun ? I’m progressing on design of the board for apple 2e :
