Thank you, not a ton of value. Once the boss gives his stamp of approval(He has a hard time letting things go) I'll slap it on marketplace untested for half of that and let someone find a bargain or a bust.

Cleaning out some work storage. Assuming everything is here and it works what's a ballpark value on this setup? Is it worth taking the time to set it up, take pictures and sell it? And before the question comes up, yes it is used. I assume this was the first computer we had in our office. The printer is an 801 and does not have a box.

I'm putting new guts in an old claw machine and using it to give away products at a trade show. Can any of you recommend a custom art shop that will print new side art?

I think you should sell the worn system because I need to complete my collection. I have one game(Ruiner) and nothing else. I'm not a box guy nor a mint condition guy but I do have cash. If you can tell me what components you'd be willing to part with I will make you an offer. Also if you have any duplicate games I might be interested. -
What did you buy today?.........

I have no problem doing that. I’ve told potential buyers that I would make a video of everything working before I shipped if that’s what they want. Maybe someone doesn’t want that or wants me to use a different cart? These guys on here crack me up. I’ve never seen a group worry about a $100 item so much. I mean that must be what it’s worth, they’ve told me that a thousand times. I’d love to hear what they tell the guy who wants $2500 for his. How much does that torn box lessen the value?

It’s very entertaining. I have nothing to lose by swinging for the fences. I’ve taken what I can from people and reworded my ad, upgraded the pics and been as honest as I could about the Gemini. I’m not going to change the category to anything less than open box because to me that’s what it is and it’s my risk at the end of the day.. I’ve received nice side notes from others who wish me well. I’ve gotten crazy offers from people who want to me to ship this thing across the world and that just reeks of disaster. I too check this post more often than I should because 14 year old me is enjoying the heck out of collecting. If I owned the 2600, Intellivison and Colecovision back then I would have been the richest kid on the block. I really don’t even want a Jaguar but feel a responsibility to myself to complete the collection. So go ahead, make memes of me, bully me and make stupid little jokes. I’ll laugh it off. To the others who have been nice about it, I thank you.

I do want to represent it for what it is so I added more to the description today and took it in to work to shoot pics in my pic box. People have asked more questions about this piece than they did when I sold my Delorean. I think it’s a great collector piece for a minimal investment. Others obviously disagree but I’ll do what I can to cover my bases. There are some good people on here with good advice. I put down my Atari in 83 and just got back into it during Covid. I’m having a blast.

Sold quite a few things on my work account but never electronics and never my own items : Cars, hitch pins and machines. We will see how it goes. I wish I had not used my work account to buy things as I might have a better reputation on my personal account. Someone is offering to buy it and have it shipped to Delaware and eventually Brazil. I assume I should stay away from that scenario. I really would be powerless if they said it didn't work. I have more systems to put out but they will definitely fall in the used categories.

I changed the description but I think it still fits best in that open box category. I'll chat with the buyer before I ship it so there is no confusion. The mark on the back of that controller looks like something from the factory(a blemish). I'll wipe it down to remove the smudge. It's a nice system, thanks for the tips. I have more to sell once this one goes. It's a learning curve. I've been buying way too many systems during Covid.

Have you tried Atariage Marketplace on Facebook. Someone was selling one or $50 earlier this week.

At this point I'm not doing anything to it. It's a nice piece and the early interest it has garnered on ebay indicates it will fetch a fair price. I'll be Jag shopping next week if anyone has one they would like to sell. It doesn't have to be pristine because I will take it apart, tinker with it, admire it and play it. I wasn't sure what I wanted when I started collecting last year and bought the Gemini on a whim. I found out that I enjoy taking these things apart, recapping them and cleaning them just as much as I do playing them. I'll buy a used Gemini and do the same to it but the one I have is nice enough to be in someone's collection. Until then I have a fresh 7800 to rip into.

None of the contact points show any sign of wear, the cords are all wrapped up nicely with the same ties and it looks untouched. The guy I got it from also said it was never used. If someone used it they did a fine job of hiding the fact. Why would they go through all that trouble for something that they probably bought for $50 in the early eighties? Can I say with 100% certainty that it is unused, no but it passes the eye test enough for me to say it.

If I have this pigtail from Console 5 and this power adapter 9v 1.5a with an led supply end on it I have a 7800 power supply right?
