I have an Atari 520 STFM with a c070523 Rev D board that has video ghosting when using RGB video through a SCART cable and converter to HDMI video. The video is so bad that it is hard to read file names using the desktop. The video is OK when using RF. I have already re-caped the power supply and the caps on the main board test good using an ESR meter (with the caps in place on the board). Has anyone run into this before? Should I re-cap the main board even though the caps test ok? The video converter work fine with other computers.

I using the RF to the TV and I know it works fine because I have used that same power board with another main board and have sound. I also tried a composite cable and same problem no sound. Tried to trace connectivity from both the Pokey end and the power board connector end and things seem to be ok so far. Looking at the schematic I see that the CA3086 Transistor array is part of the circuit between the Pokey and the power board connector. I think I will try to replace that next. The connective between the Pokey and CA3086 seems ok.

I'm trying to get an Atari 800 working and can't get any sound out of it. Here is what I have tried so far with parts from another working 800: 1. Swapped the Power board which has the RF on it, No sound 2. Swapped the Pokey chip, still No sound 3. Swapped the CPU board, still No sound 3. Swapped the 10k ROM board, still No sound Does anyone have any suggestions for what I might try next?

Don't think it is a TV problem as another 2600 and my Commodore 64 work fine on that same TV

I have an Atari 2600 4 switch that has stumped me. The picture for Combat and Pacman is shifted to the left and down (sometimes part way off the screen). For Breakout sometimes the pictures is black and white and sometimeS color but always slowly rolls down the screen, but is more centered. So far I have replaced the electrolytic caps, replaced the Q200 and Q201 transistors, replaced the voltage regulator, replaced the .22k caps (Green chicklets) and after that didn't work did a composite mod. I now have a better quality composite picture but still shifted. Also have removed and cleaned all of the socketed chip contacts and even tried swapping the RIOT and CPU. Any suggestions for something else I should try. Thanks
