Oh I see. It is 100% the picture. The scratches you see are white marks, almost like it rubbed against paint. It is a bit dusty on the top. I need to remember to clean them very well before posting pictures. I usually do. I pulled it out of my packed box (not original) to take the pictures. Honestly it's in really good physical shape. I have since sold it and will open it up and clean prior to delivery, but I will take pics to post back here for sharing purposes. Thanks for your input!

No prob. Just so I'm aware and maybe it's my picture taking skills, but where is the "rough" you're referring to?
-
Added images and temp ones. At some point I will finish some stuff. I also realized that some GBs need completion. I also did not add any pics of most games because many are in boxes.
-
This one was by all appearances in perfect condition, albeit a bit dusty. I cleaned off the outside but can absolutely open it up and clean out the inside if you wish, no extra charge. I will even take pictures of the inside. I may do that anyway if it sits on here too long. I have done no repairs, recapping, or mods etc. to this console. Editing the main post to add images now.

Dude these are in seriously great shape. If I had that money I would have jumped. I would probably blur the product keys though. "people" can take the product key from an internet image and reuse it.

I have an NTSC-U Sega Saturn model 2 (round buttons) with a third party controller, power and video cable. Will also include Madden 98. Console plays and displays perfectly as Sega intended. $100 shipped in continental US or $20 credited towards shipping if further out. If shipping is more than $20, buyer to pay the difference. Will consider trades for other console stuff. I'm not interested in a rare game or controller, but if you have a couple everdrives or other SD methods (depending on system) I might be up for it. I am looking for the ability to play on something. I am a collector, but in the sense of playing what I collect. Nothing sealed interests me. So I don't have to answer "do you have" a bunch of times, I have posted in the "Show us your collection" sub:

Here are the things I know I have added since this post and still need to take pictures of: Atari: 7800 Lynx Atari 800XL (S-Drive MAX) Atari 520ST (low cost SD solution) Jaguar! (Finally got one that I needed to repair. it had the blown VR chip and some caps. works great now but I have no games to call my own) Colecovision Commodore 64 (Pi1541) PS Vita (soft mod) Majora's Mask themed Nintendo 3DS XL (soft mod) Panasonic 3DO Wonderswan PC Engine Duo (everdrive) NeoGeo Pocket Color Original Post: More pics to come, I got interrupted so I snapped a few images of them on the shelf I drastically need to clean please don't mind the dust: Here is my current collection. I love buying parts consoles in otherwise good physical condition and repairing them for my own collection but man is it some serious love for the hobby. It's an out of this world feeling to bring an old console back to life. I may end up selling these at some point or buying more to repair and sell. Nintendo: AV Famicom Super Famicom and region card, with SNES2SD N64 GC (PicoBoot & SD2SP2) Wii-U (SoftMod) Switch (atmosphere) GB [bought as parts] GB Pocket [bought as parts] GBC [bought as parts] GBA sp (did my best to cover up one I got rid of) GBA Micro DS not pictured (R4) Sega: SMS bought one with S Video, AV mods & FM add-on already complete. (ED clone) Genesis (ED) [bought as parts] Saturn (Psuedo Cart) Dreamcast (no longer have this one. But I got a GDemu for my sports model finally) Game Gear. It came to me with broken crystals. Will do McWill some day. PS: Ps1 (UniRom) Ps2 Phat (FMCB and HDD) [bought as parts] PS2 Slim (these things are junk. Planning to get rid of this one and keep the phat) PS3 not pictured PS4 XBOX: OG (TSOP) [bought as parts] 360 (RGH) One I feel like I am forgetting something but will update when I add pics. Here is the unorganized and needing a cleaning shelf: Currently in the process of rearranging and packing in hopes to move into a house of our own in the near future. There are also a few in my pics that do not belong to me. They are here for cleaning and/or repair.

Oh cool. Mine is slightly different as mentioned. You can see my actual board in this thread, as well as my solution and end result from the composite mod. If you don't have any experience soldering, it's not really that hard to do but you'd still need a soldering iron, some solder, and some flux. It's not impossible, but if you have a friend with experience, that might be better. I also did not use the included ports because I did not want to drill into my case, but if you find the 2600 AV mod delux, it is built on a board with an included 3.5 trrs jack that fits right through the hole on your Jr. I also bought this instead of my original plan. It fits much better mounted but you will need a couple sturdy washers for mounting: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B089222S84/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o06_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Sounds like you have the best customer service on the planet. I just bought a Harmony a week or so ago and am already excited to receive.
-
Yours has an interior cable? My jr (short ribbon) has the RF mounted to the PCB sticking straight out the back. I'm new to Atari so I'm curious. As far as Composite, YES. Do it. It's super easy. I bought my kit on Ebay but being in the UK I think you have other options as well. When I was looking, I remember finding a better mod than the ebay available ones, but it was in UK and cost a bunch in shipping so I went with $10 on ebay. It is a dramatic change and you won't regret it as long as you have any experience with a soldering iron.

Sorry if any of you are already on this and trying to keep it hush, but I think this deserves much more action than it's getting. NOT MINE and I wish I could bid on it but this sale has an NES, super nes jr, and genesis model 2 with what appears to be genuine everdrives for each system. Looks like it includes all cables and controllers ready to play. I know this is evilbay, but there are still great finds ??♂️??♂️ https://www.ebay.com/itm/Nintendo-Super-Nintendo-Sega-Genesis-Lot-W-Everdrives-/383866606777?_trksid=p2349624.m46890.l49292

By function I mean after I opened it up, cleaned, replaced the voltage regulator and pico fuse ??♂️?. Both were blown. Dude swore it worked but for $30 I couldn't complain. I think it got power while nasty. There was rust and corrosion on a bunch of contacts and the power connector was busted. Eh. I like the project. Enough of hijacking my own thread.
-
Wow. I didn't realize how cheap those are. I ended up picking up a console for $30. It was nasty as hell but seems to function. It powers ??♂️. I just need to test it's gameplay functionality before grabbing an everdrive. Pi still for sale or trade for sega saturn.
-
Can I sell this here? If not allowed, I'll change the title. I figured posted for trade for an SNES was acceptable but idk about for sale since it doesn't involve gaming. Edited to sell for $100 shipped in continental US.
-
Sweet. I have a few genesis model 1 PSUs from my genesis and master systems. I'll end up with an everdrive as well but wanted to know about external accessories. Video, power, controllers, etc. I have a bunch of SNES controllers and video adapters already so I wanted to make use of what I have instead of buying more duplicates. Lol. Thanks for the input!! If I can't find a trade, as soon as I sell my piTOP or master system, I'll probably grab a super famicom.
-
Sweet! Thanks for the tip. Quick search shows a console at less than $40. Do you have any issues using snes hardware?
-
So for some reason the SNES has skyrocketed and I don't know why, but I can't justify paying $100 for a working console so I figured I'd see if anyone here has an extra one they wouldn't mind parting with. Edited: This is still for sale or trade but I picked up an SNES so if you're up for trading, I'll go for working a Sega saturn. Hoping for a controller and connections but can source those on my own if necessary, especially since the pi top needs it's own charger. Read below. I have a working piTOP laptop and a raspberry pi 3b for trade. It works but you'll need a charger. Universal would work fine with the right tip. It's nothing funky. Probably the same size as Asus or toshiba or similar. There is a crack in the plastic by the track pad. These things are finicky to open. It has absolutely no impact on functionality but it is there. It has a built in battery so it doesn't need to be on a wall plug all the time. It charges just like a regular laptop. I'll include an SD card with piTOP os on it but it still gets updates from the company. You can download them easily. I'm looking for an Sega Saturn console. It doesn't have to have a game but at least one would be nice. I just need a console that works. Anyone willing to help me out? Prefer to trade for Sega saturn but will sell too. Sold. Ended up picking up a couple of saturns locally for the sale of this one. Woop woop!!

As far as I remember, and how I have mine setup is that you will need a separate hard drive for wii/gc games on a fat32 partition than any with wiiu games on them. The wiiu formats the hard drive in a way that is not accessible to the user. That was years ago and I haven't touched anything wiiu in awhile but that's what I remember. I would also suggest looking into turning on stealth for your wii/gc HDD so the wiiu doesn't try to format it on every boot.

My rather messy game/computer collection

Zelda games are the way to go in a pandemic! Excellent choice. I'm only on collecting and repairing because my wife is on the TV watching Naruto (Boruto now). -
Dude, this is quite the collection for a young adult. I wish I had the ability at your age to purchase these kinds of things. I remember walking past a ton of Atari consoles in the late 90s with my parents wishing I could have one. They weren't even that much, but the difference in $20 for a console vs $20 in pants for winter was a huge thing to us. I started colleting as an adult about 10 years ago when I got into console modding. I would trade work for retro console stuff. I recently purchased some games from another forum and thought I was getting Dig Dug for the 2600 but it was sold since the last update. I was SUPER bummed. Dig Dug was THE game I wanted. Did you ever get your genesis fixed? I've seen a few posts for model 1s in local FB marketplace or OfferUp for about $15 for a working console. I want to jump on that so bad, but I already have a model 2 and CD and would rather acquire new items than duplicates. Learn how to solder! It's super fun, and pretty easy over all. It really just takes practice. You have an excellent collection. Keep up the good work!

My rather messy game/computer collection

Holy crap that puts my collection to shame. I too have a drawer of handhelds though. Haha. Pandemic has me buying faulty toys and repairing them for my collection. Yours looks like a sweet setup! -
I recently picked up an S-Video/AV modded SMS with an FM board, a controller and a few games for super dirt cheap. I got extremely lucky or the seller was amazingly charitable. I almost don't want to say where it came from... I feel like it was a steal. I thought it was too good to be true until it showed up. My eyeballs started to sweat from enjoyment and excitement. I'll post pics when I get home. At the office today.

I could totes use that HDD as long as it's not locked. I'll PM

I will probably find a black nylon one at some point. This was in my own bin. haha Black nylon actually sounds amazing. I feel like the galvanized steel looks odd, but it's what I had and I wanted to fill the rf hole instead of drilling. I'm with you on that one. Drilling an old case seems like asking for trouble.

I went with a different solution but had a positive end result! I grabbed an av mod kit from eBay but didn't use the included connectors. Instead I bought a 3.5 Jack and used that with modification. Check it out. I ended up having to route the cable a bit different.
