  1. Instead of cracking down on people doing that, that was their reason for the change, yes.
  2. USPS charges basically $5 for a padded envelope so if they buy direct postage, no. Services like eBay, or PayPal shipping, and even pirateship, give a business discount so it brings it down a bit but the shipping cost is still around $3.85 from pirate ship. I assume the others are close. The rate wouldn't change if you had another cart in there. The weight would still be under the limit. So bundles aren't a bad idea. Problem is most sellers are dishonest with their shipping weight info. Under or over. Some will say shipping weight is a .01 ounces. Others will say it's 50 pounds (and keep the difference when it's under). I just saw someone trying to sell a couple of GameCubes on eBay saying it would cost an absurd $35+ for shipping. 2 GameCube consoles would clearly fit in a medium flat rate. It goes both ways. The only way to make money on smaller items on eBay seems to be dishonesty. I would agree that a bundle might help you out if you're looking to sell on there. If not, post em here for a buck or 2 and the buyer pays shipping. Usually helps if they buy multiple items.
  3. My bro says these are the last games I needed that we had when we were kids. I have a bunch of others but these are the newest. I got Contra on a partial trade, and rad racer was a bonus. Not even sure if we had that as kids or not. Super C was also on a trade. No manual though. Honestly it's the first NES game with a box at all in my collection. Guess I need to head on that route now.
  4. Problem is they'll send back the shitty disc and jetset will be stuck with their garbage. This happened to me years ago for a $150 phone. T-Mobile wing. I still remember. It left a terribly salty taste for eBay for me. The buyer sent me back a garbage phone and since I was still new to selling phones, I did not annotate the IMEI in the sale. As soon as I got back "my phone", they got their money. Mind you this was over a week after they got it, and said it "stopped working". You could try the return for full refund option but be prepared to get back the disc that was not what you sent. You could still argue at that point but they'll basically give the buyer their money back the day you get the delivery.
  5. Quick to reply and communicate. Professional indeed. No issues at all. Thanks for the smooth transaction, Kubus_m. Hope to deal with you in the future.
  6. Could that be done with parts off the shelf though?
  7. Sold The Music Machine. Main post edited and sold item in spoiler until received by buyer.
  8. Added The Music Machine for 2600. See first post. Please PM with questions or concerns, or to let me know I am crazy if you'd like. Will consider partial trade for jaguar console only. With 1 game is preferred if you have any extra. I already have video, power and a controller. Just no console.
  9. No section for GameCube so I figured I would mention it here. PicoBoot GC is a new mod to auto run Swiss (or any other HB I think) at launch. It's pretty easy to install. The hardest part is potentially ruining the thermal pads, but new ones are cheap and should probably be replaced anyway.

Would you happen to know how thick the replacement pads should be?

I found a video that was pretty clear. It looks like 1mm, 1.5mm and 2mm depending on the chip.

I know YT isn't popular around here but I found this one useful:

Oh thank you, I'll check that out.

  10. What the heck is going on with the post offices in the northeast? I have a package coming my way that has been sitting in Ohio for over a week and was supposed to be delivered 3 days ago. Is the weather or staff shortages that bad out there that they are hiring temporary labor who are in need of more money than people receiving "insured" packages? I say insured with "" because since your package was delivered by the USPS, I am sure you do not have a leg to stand on for a claim. I use pirateship and their rates for UPS are not much more than USPS if any. Might be worth checking into if you wish to boycot USPS. At one point I refused to use UPS but man are they switching their qualities these days.
  11. Not much but I did add a few things for now. Prices adjusted as well.
  12. Everything listed is still available. Joystick and sound card are huge and going in the trash this weekend if no takers.
  13. What are the advantages of doing this? I only have the svideo signal going to the video out port but am wondering if there is a big difference in where the signal comes from. I have noticed the stock composite is darker than the svideo. Would it change it so they would be closer in colors?
  14. DUDE that IS a hell of a deal. Nice find!
  15. I definitely plan to upgrade TOS but since it "works" right now, the only limitation I am running into is needing more RAM. haha. Almost every application I run from masteries disk solution stops with an error and says it needs more RAM. I could probably get away with piggybacking, but some of the applications I ran said it needed 4MB so I figured why not go all out. Plus, the board was fairly cheap; I ordered 5 from JLCPCB for $5 after new user discount. Ram chips seem to also be inexpensive at about $15 for 12 of them. I figured 4MB for around the price of piggybacking to 1MB is better. Plus if I can easily build and test them all to working, I can share with others.
  16. Good question! I honestly do not know. I want to attempt to install the board before upgrading TOS so I will know at some point. At least from a testing standpoint. I did find that there is a way to disable that board to 1MB so if all else fails, I can try that until I upgrade TOS.
  17. I asked for information on a 4MB board from a specific place. You continue to post irrelevant information! That is like if I asked where to purchase a copy of a homebrew Tetris clone for Atari 2600, and your response is "why go that route when you can buy an Adventure clone for Atari 5200?" Your information is not helpful to anyone other than yourself. And before you get on with "your original topic said easiest way to upgrade RAM." Yes. Yes it did. But as I hope you are aware, I am unable to edit old posts, which is why I followed up and moved on to the board from agranlund. Which is also why I requested you not be a jerk and clutter this thread which is now on PAGE 2, and cluttered with your ridiculous useless replies. In another thread, you posted a seriously dumb topic in a specific sub forum that should never have been there in the first place. It belongs on your own personal page or at the very least, Atari General. I do not need posting advice from someone who cannot follow basic direction. NOW PLEASE GO AWAY.
  18. Weird how AliExpress works. Haha. This is what shows up in the link I sent. I think it's the second result in the link from snark.
  19. I did see that thread too. Actually, I found it due to your post about the updated board here on AA. Thanks for that! It lead me to exxos, but I still didn't see anywhere that says where to purchase compatible ram. Thank you for the AliExpress link! It does bring back a search, but am I to understand these will work? https://a.aliexpress.com/_mrMgJRC
  20. Not sure why we're still having an argument at all. It's a waste of time for someone who can't even READ! Oh, maybe if you say something else that rude and off topic. I asked you to stop posting in this thread unless you have the information I asked about, which other users have already shared info on. I know how to do a web search, but already explained I'm not familiar with the RAM types that pop up. I suppose by your words, I should familiarize myself with Basic, or French while I'm at it.
  21. Removal of old RAM being required to use the 4MB board does not under any circumstance mean replacement of old RAM. Replacement of old RAM means to use same type of RAM in it's place. I'm not putting the same type of RAM in it's place. The board was only created 7 months ago. What on Earth makes you think it's abandoned? I will not be piggybacking to old ram. Please refrain from further posts attempting to change the topic or redirect me to a different method. If you do not have the information I am requesting, I would prefer you not clutter up this thread. I hope to eventually have a solution to my question and if you continue to clutter, the solution may not be evident when it presents itself. Thank you
  22. I am not looking for specific brand. Also, I am not looking to replace original ram chips in the ST. I am looking specifically at putting the upgrade board created by Anders Granlund as identified here: https://github.com/agranlund/STRam I have found other forums or videos where the user installed the board, but it was already prebuilt when they acquired it. Since I cannot find a prebuilt board, and like to build things myself, I opted to buy a board and am not looking for the correct components. The BOM lists a component and package for the ram, but I am having trouble finding it based on the information in the github readme. I would like to know if anyone knows this RAM, or has performed this upgrade built by themselves, and where they purchased the actual RAM chip.
  23. But picking at someone's error and strictly pointing it out for the sake of pointing it out, without actually helping them, is poor. No matter if it contains good intent. All I am saying is; provide advice for the question being asked instead of jumping in just to point out someone typed something wrong. Please?
  24. I wanted to point out how ridiculous it sounds to grab onto silly, non relevant issues in random posts. It is easier to determine the intent than it is to get so worked up to the point of making an entire post about it.
  25. I understand there is a difference in kilobyte and kilobit, but honestly don't see how it was relevant. I didn't think the RAM in the type and package that I mentioned would be kilobit. It really just sounded like you wanted to point out a typo. I will admit that I have yet to remember the difference in big vs small letters. Moving on to the issue at hand. My main concern is not the bit vs byte, but rather the form factor. Does the B v b have anything to do with the form factor? Some of the ones I found say 256 where I feel it should be 1. I cannot tell if that is what makes the form factor different. Some of them seem to have less pins, even though they are in the same class. It's just confusing to me. I was wondering if anyone knew for sure where to purchase the RAM used in the 4MB upgrade from agranlund.
