  1. Hello, @justclaws @Keatah @joeatari1 @Atari_JaguarVCS @marss @SabertoothRetro For your information, it is still possible to install Windows 11 with a local account, so you don't have to log in with a Microsoft account. This works with all Windows editions. To do this, disconnect the network cable from the console before launching the installation. During the installation when you will be asked to connect to the Wifi, at this moment use the keyboard shortcut Alt+F4, accept the contract, and you will have access to the creation of your local account.
  2. It is indeed still a little too early to put it in the main system, but I did not resist, I wanted to see what awaits us for the next few years, because we will say what we want, but on the scale of the planet Microsoft is inevitable. Besides, I am as pleasantly surprised by this Windows 11 version as I was disappointed by the VHDX of Windows 10X in Hyper-V. Or it's in my head, or the graphical interface seems even more fluid than with Windows 10. To be continued...
  3. No Because your Grub is on first partition on eMMC is efi(0) on picture Restauration disk don't format this first partition I believe, verify but I think it doesn't format it
  4. Hello, At this point my method In Windows disk manageur I reduce Windows primary partition with size you want for Ubuntu I create a new partition, don' t have to format In Ubuntu find your partiton, create, format EXT4 with "\" for partition For Grub, sorry I forget the name of partition in Linux but this is the first EFI partition on eMMC (This partition serves no other purpose than Grub, not for Apertis) With rEFInd VCS or Grub VCS Multi boot loader you can delete Grub for Ubuntu BUT You don't see Atari logo during start, only texte To keep logo indicate to rEFInd VCS or Grub VCS to point bootx64.efi
  5. Hello This little message with a gallery of screenshots to reassure you about the future compatibility of Windows 11 on the Atari VCS 800. Everything seems to be going well. Very impressed, I wait to discover more ^^ Installed on external USB M.2 SSD disk with WinToUSB. Moved physicaly M.2 SSD disk to internal. Work great File : 21996.1.210529-1541.co_release_CLIENT_CONSUMER_x64FRE_en-us.ISO MD5: 179BFE07F7050093EE595DDD85A30201 BR
  6. I usually do it the other way around. - I install Windows on USB and I duplicate on the internal M.2 card, which erases it completely. - I reduce the Windows partition and create my other partitions to the desired size. - In each of the partitions I restore a system that I have previously backed up with DiskGenius in .pmf format that restore filesystem to So if I were you, I would backup the Batocera and Ubuntu partitions. And I would transfer Windows to M.2 internal + restore the backups

  10. find find file here https://drive.google.com/file/d/1hsIe9H432CXJkjfyctrHo8Ks--_GnQRc/view?usp=sharing But Grub2 does not prevent the update, it is deleted when the Atari system is updated. You have to reinstall it afterwards so For me it has often been a problem to try to install different OSes on the same card. The problem often comes from the loader or rather the loaders. The Grub2 VCS I shared duplicates the native Android Grub I think. It's the same if you install Ubuntu, the included grub is also duplicating. For my part I deleted all the duplicate grub loaders. For Batocera it's another thing, it's syslinux. To avoid bad surprises on the M.2 card, I do all my installations on an external SSD disk in USB. I save the partitions of the different systems I want to install, with DiskGenius in .pmf format. From there I resize my partitions as I want them on my M.2 card (I don't even have to format them) and I restore in each of them the previously saved systems. Hopefully this can help you
  11. Hello, My two power supplies work, but seems to be of very average quality (hot box, sign of poor quality components) By chance I got two others compatibles power supplies from my Asus FX504 laptop that work eatch. Asus PN : A15-120P1A By chance the connector used by Atari is common to many PC power supplies. You will find without difficulty I think a replacement power supply if needed.
  12. Hello, @Destro 83 @justclaws I was wrong about my last response, it is possible again 1/ Place in Boot section 2/ For Add boot option, choose "fist", confirm 3/ Go down to EFI, enter in menu 4/ indicate your defined boot order 5/ Press F10 buton to save changes 6/ Confirm changes, Yes The console shutdown and restart on defined boot order
  13. For what I see (structure system), maybe hope come from https://www.apertis.org/ community (I don't know it) where AtariOS seems to com from
  14. It seems to work, for a first test it is conclusive. I opened my console, removed the original card, replaced it with the new card without connecting the antennas. I removed the top cover and placed the modern Controller physically in contact with the card. I put the modern controller at a 45° angle to the left console angle, and it works. It synchronize in bluetooth with Batocera 30 (detect, synch, manual conf, profil OK) and the AtariOS normally detect contoller. I move in the menus and everything seems OK, provided to leave the controller in contact with the card. So I am very optimistic for my laptop, I will see in the next days.
  15. Hello, Here is linux distrbution Ubuntu Gamepack with Steam integrated in the meantime https://ualinux.com/en/download/category/25-ubuntu-gamepack
  16. I still haven't received the mentioned Wifi card at moment. Amazon saids before Sunday. I hope it will be soon. I'm not even sure if it will work, it's a 7€ (shipping included) poker move, raison of delay. I'll let you know as soon as I get it if the bluetooth works with the controllers.
  17. I have never test Grub with Batocera. I use rEFInd when I desactivate Enforce Secure boot, better graphic icons) Maybe, this try add_os_if_exists /EFI/BOOT/${grub}.efi "Batocera" batocera

  20. Hello, It was possible in previous BIOS version, but no more at moment, panel is grey I can't change anything Raisons I use differents multi boot loader such as : Grub2 : for all system supported by Atari rEFInd : for others systems (require to desactivate Enforce Secure Boot) BR
  21. In Batocera "share" partition you got two importants folders "bios" folder where you have to place (copy) the bios for supported emulator/console "roms" folder where you place yours roms in corresponding emulator/console folders Note: In bios folder, find readme.txt that explain for example what you need for Atari 800 bios Atari 5200 / Atari 800: 281f20ea4320404ec820fb7ec0693b38 bios/5200.rom 06daac977823773a3eea3422fd26a703 bios/ATARIXL.ROM 0bac0c6a50104045d902df4503a4c30b bios/ATARIBAS.ROM eb1f32f5d9f382db1bbfb8d7f9cb343a bios/ATARIOSA.ROM a3e8d617c95d08031fe1b20d541434b2 bios/ATARIOSB.ROM You could easely find bios on Web with google given MD5 checksum I wish you a good game
  22. Really easy to do, just require an USB disk, prefered SSD Download x64 version here https://batocera.org/download Use Balena etcher in 3 steps. https://www.balena.io/etcher/ 1/ Indicate batocera image file path you just downloaded 2/ Indicate your USB disk path (All disk will be format, data lose) 3/ Star flash and wait to succefull When done, plug USB disk, start console, wait Batocera finilise install and start Well done Most important, Batocera need to desactivate Enforce secure boot in BIOS (UEFI) to let run
  23. Hello, I just tested quickly the Atari 800 emulator on Batocera to see what Zaxxon looked like. The name sounded in my mind, but I couldn't find it. It was in fact my older brother who played it on Mattel Intellivision. I got a ROM to test here The game starts and the "modern controller" is well recognized on USB. There is no reason why the "classic joystick" should not be recognized as well.
