First game of 2024 to complete is Stray, fantastic game, not too difficult which is a good thing, puzzles make sense that don't completely stump you, excellent controls, animation, music and story.

Wowsers, sorry to hear that. The console, well, switch version works more or less. It has constant sound issues, mostly with lack of loudness, but graphically fairly rare. It is at least playable. Considering its likely just using Stella and other emulators, you'd think it would be best on computer. Hopefully you'll get some updates soon to make it work, its not perfect, but really is s great collection.
I know its really bizarre...but most of the games are fine. Loved seeing Miner 2049er and some other gems like that.
If only they can call up a Microsoft rep and have Activsion throw them some games (and Imagic games)

In the Intellivision version I think you were Dracula and got points for attacking people. For any version released for the CV I'm hoping your hunting him kind of like Peter Cushing aka Van Helsing. Perhaps not having garlic or a cross gets you killed instantly if he catches you like the dragons in Adventure or he backs off while holding a cross or garlic etc and only the stake can kill him in his coffin during the day back in his castle.

Anyway, I think I'm ready to quit - at least in multiplayer. I need to go through all the trial an error of actually learning the depth of the game by myself before I can really enjoy it. I'll also end up skipping a ton of story or just breezing through it in multiplayer and that is (hopefully) one of the better parts of this game. . .
Ok I will skip multiplayer entirely, I ended up quitting their first game Divinity 1, way too much management and tactical stuff but it had a lame story and endless fetch quests iirc. I love turned based games but not where it gets too overwhelmed with rules (like D&D 5e). Divinity 2 seemed like a huge improvement in terms of story and it seems the tactical stuff was streamlined but I didnt finish it cause I wanted to wait for BG3..
Quit:
Kotor 2 - because of a bug but also couldn't really get into it
Y's Origins - ok just lost interest
Daggerfall Unity - Great job but have zero time for old school Ultima Underworld and Daggerfall like games.

Kotor was great the last area with the infinite enemy spawns was a pain though. This may be a sin but I could not get into Knights of the Old Republic 2....I tried. But I dont know, just got bored with it, maybe its the missions and bugs.

I haven't looked through this thread but I got this on Steam and it seems that its just a buggy mess with some games. 2600 Asteroids and Missile Command for example. Not sure if its GPU or TV related or what. 2600 Asteroids: No matter what game selection I pick, the asteroids don't show only the ship, made sure the difficulty switch is off too. In Missile command the missiles sometimes suddently appear at the bottom of the screen taking out my bases. Oh well the media part of this and history is real nice.

Mass Effect 1
Star Wars KOTOR (modded)
Life is Strange
Kingdom Rush, Origins, Frontiers
I made an attempt with Daggerfall Unity but it's just too outdated unfortunately. 😑-

I love the colors of the CV but my fav is still the C64 with the panorama. Any way you can get a sun or moon and a few mountains or volcano up there? It's great though don't get me wrong.

Bioware games Dragon Age, Mass Effect etc

Yup I agree with everything. After a couple of decades since the '90s when I started collecting games, I finally offloaded a ton of them the past two months and it feels great. I kept only the ones that mean something to me or ones that are pretty expensive. Everything fits into a nice small section and it's nice knowing I only have games that I want or am familiar with. I use emulation a lot too.

Yes Doom 2016 - One of the best games of all time
Doom Eternal - I quit and never finished
lol Never go back to it. I threw on some cheats and beat it because it was beyond annoying. Lack of ammo, parkour platforming. Ughhhhh

I found myself just today wondering if Bydo every went back and played Doom 2016. I hope you did because it is probably the one of the greatest games of the last decade.
I actually didn't like the sequel as much, I mean it was still cool (and with your own bedroom of Doom swag) but the endless jumping and jetpacking just didn't quite feel like Doom anymore.

LOL - I've never played it. Should I move it up?
As the teens would say in the game 'Hells yes'. It's a point n' click walking dead style story game but holy crap do choices really matter in this one, absolutely do not look anything up' unless your stuck on a puzzle. I went into it completely blind and was like wtf?? I've had it in my library forever and finally decided to give it a go since I've heard good things even from hardcore gamer types who don't play these types of games. They should adapt this into a Netflix series scene for scene would be pretty cool.

The Last Of Us 2: It talked forever, then made me walk around somewhere really slowly, then stuck me into a zombie chase with all the interactivity of a Laser Disc game.
God Of War: Passable, if repetitive for a few hours, up until the boat bit, which killed the pace dead.
Last 2: I agree, I'm not sure why they want us to play a movie rather than wanting us to play a video game.
God of War: the intense action and arcade like game play is gone. The new God of War is an exploratory Tomb Raider clone that really drags and gets boring. IMO its a technological marvel but its just not as fun and the constant hoofing and paddling it around looking for stuff is exhausting. I hope that boat burns and never comes back.

Over the years I've learned what to tolerate and what to avoid. Played Raid for a little over a year and stopped for many reasons. The only mobile microtransaction 'free' game that I play is Empires & Puzzles.
-
I still play Skyrim lol
Mass Effect Andromeda - its not that bad, loved the planets and combat, story & characters are weak, it's like a spin off TV series
Dragon Age Inquisition + all the DLC + 100% achievements - its got faults but I like this game quite a bit and the ongoing story
Helen's Mysterious Castle - guide needed to beat
Earthlock - stopped but I could have beat it. Just didn't like it
Darkest Dungeon - stopped could have beat this too eventually but imo its way too much of a grind for me

Thats hardware problem most likely. Check event viewer and update the motherboards BIOS as well as all drivers, follow a bunch of this too:
https://techcult.com/fix-computer-shuts-down-randomly/
Check out this guy, he knows what he's talking about:
Sometimes it could be the motherboard is not seated properly, if he built it he needs to double check everything.

Can someone tell me what the deal is with Warhammer?

I still think Warhammer Dawn of War (2006) is awesome and very much playable today, there is a widescreen fix out there too. Dark Crusade as well. Play those NOW!
