  1. They do look like type-in games. I never really liked any of them, Sir Lancelot was kind of like joust but not nearly as fun and quite clunky. Robin Hood looked pretty interesting but wasn’t. Never got a chance to play the other games but heard 'meh' things about those too.

  2. Venetica is free on GOG:

  3. You are VERY close. According to 'Coleco The Official Book' the very first announcement was in June 1982 and it was officially released in August 1982. No exact day in August was given and the people that worked on the book say it remains unknown as of 2016. It took almost 3 years to develop with I think 3 prototypes before the final launch machine.

As a comparison, the Bundle for Racial Justice and Equality raised over 8M.  I wouldn't have guessed this, but perhaps itch.io is mainly a thing in the USA?  Else I would expect this Ukraine one to be higher.  Another factor is that the last one was smack dab in the "early" part of the pandemic when people were still all sitting at home looking for stuff to do.

I totally forgot I got that one too, I probably have a million games waiting there to download now lol, have no idea if itch.io is international but yeah tons of people were home at the time. At 119% now...

  5. Bundle for Ukraine, including over a thousand games (of the tabletop and virtual variety) Itch.io. $10 donation and it's all yours:

    https://itch.io/b/1316/bundle-for-ukraine

Edit: For anyone not familiar with Itch.io the bundle above for all those games (34 pages of downloads)...is for full downloadable games. No keys, no clients required. If you want a client you can use Steam, GOG or Playnite etc and add the games there. Obviously a ton of work.

I would think Apple would be right in this fight, but not to release a console.  They should instead be working on their own content delivery and focus on the customers they already have using their devices.

That's what I was thinking. If I was apple the last thing I would want to do is release a dedicated gaming MAC. I think gamepass is already working on apple devices so what's the point. They absolutely will not do anything physical like CD’s etc. I'd be on the phone with them saying how do we get our stuff to work on Xbox.

Then again I don't know, maybe they want to cash in on the hardware hungry couch gamers. Good luck on making it affordable lol

Maybe, but this deal is going to have to 'bake in the oven' for a few months.  That could give time for another shark in the water to gobble up EA.

How about Take Two (Rockstar)?  I'm sure Microsoft (or someone) would pay huge $$ for that.

Oh yeah forgot about Take Two which has Rockstar and 2k. Soooo...two more conquests and they own it all. I'll never count Japans giants they would rather make pachinko machines than join the empire. Oh wait....

  8. All that’s left for them to eat up is EA right? In terms of big NA publishers.

I noticed Sony is busy with embracing PC mainly because of the mass amount of PC streamers, competitive play etc. but I also think they realize there is money to be made, they opened up their gaming store on Steam about a year or two back and just released God of War on Steam and it plays very very well. I also tried their formerly exclusive game Horizon Zero Dawn and it also played pretty much flawlessly, in fact these games perform better than the PS4 versions imo.

Im sort of glad they bought Activision/Bliz...one because they need to dump Kotick at some point in a dumpster fire (not sure if they have yet) and the other is they have been sitting on old IP for damn years without doing anything with it (EA is the worst though).

So yeah I damn well want a Zork remake.

I loved the fist one.  ?  Like.. it was one of my favorite games from that gen.   I got that it was a GOW clone, but the setting and character were much more to my liking than Kratos.  For some strange reason, though, much as I loved the first one, I haven't had the drive to start part 2 yet.

Here's another what I loved part 1 but haven't started part 2 yet.  I was under the impression that 2 was gonna be "more of the same."  I take it that's not the case?

I would have tolerated CV and probably finished it back when it came out....but I think I'm just late with this. Maybe I'll go back to it again someday...maybe.

My story with Divinity is this: My friend kept telling me to play it, I thought he meant the 1st but he really meant the 2nd. So when I started playing the 1st game I got pretty deep into it but it got to the point where it became too much of a slog (really slow getting anything done). I was pretty disappointed because I really liked it but just kind of got bored with it 'cause it was taking way too long. I wrote him back and asked him a question which I cant remember and he sent me a screenshot of the second game. I was like "I’m playing the first game", he’s like "oh I never played it I only played the second game". sigh....

After reading up the reviews on both it seems the second game is a lot better and they've cleaned up what people complained about in the first so yeah I think it’s more of the same but probably just a LOT better. lol. I'm definitely going to play Divinity II someday

  10. The most recent ones were the God of War clone Castlevania games on PS3. I like God of War but those were not that great.

Divinity Original Sin Part 1, unlike part 2 this one isn't all that great. I normally love games like this even if they're bad but this one was just boring.

I almost stopped playing Horizon Zero Dawn, I technically beat it but I did nothing but the main quest. About 1/4 of the way through I was like this is rubbish but I can easily beat the main game, might as well.
