  1. Cripes! I haven't heard of those. I must try them! Thanks
  2. The downloading roms would have been great. Hopefully we'll see a gamecube version? And as for a sequel I am very happy to hear that High-Score saving and unlocking other systems will be featured. Colecovision and 5200 are long overdue.... (Never liked many of the emulators for the Coleco and the Anthology emulator is unbeleivably good, can't wait to see Cosmic Avenger and Lady Bug!)
  3. Yup, I got Target Fun with my sears system. I also bought Combat for 20 something dollars. memmorriiiesss
  4. I had a Saturn with an import cart to play imports but I sold everything long ago. Oh well. Maybe I'll track down Metal Slug for PS1 (hopefully for $20 or so) and... I also have Super Monkey ball. I agree, it can be a big curse-fest also
  5. That would be great. I haven't played it yet but I've heard its an all out slugfest like Contra. I know there was an arcade game as well that it was originally realeased. Hopefully they will release a new one for the new systems.
  6. The code worked great and its almost a must unless you master every level which I'm trying to do. I actually got through level 1 and level 2 with only losing 2 lives. The patterns and memorization of the levels is pretty hard but its beatable if you have good memory and can figure out which weapons to use in certain situations. Oh and thanks for the link to the other topic.
  7. I only had it for my Commodore 64 and I think it was only realesed for it and the Apple computers at the time..... Publisher: 1986 Strategic Simulations, Inc. Copyright: W.D. Wood Conversion: Logical Design Works Musician: (none) Genre: Adventure, RPG 2D Players: One Player
  8. Anyone play this game on PS2?? Its HARD AS HELL!!!!!! but oh so sweet I love it, pure carnage, I've never sworn so much playing a game like this. I think I haven't cursed and slammed a controller down like this since the last great Contra on the Super Nintendo. Ok, must get back and try that 3rd level again.....
  9. I have a PS2 and Gamecube (lucky me) Gamecube by far had the best games. Metroid Prime, Phantasy Star Online, Starfox Adventures, Sonic Mega Collection, Mario Sunshine, Animal Crossing (still great!) etc etc. .....although I dig the hell out of Vice City though
  10. CheaperOlder games I've enjoyed greatly on my PS2: Drakan: The Ancient Gates Onimusha Devil May Cry Gauntlet (Up to four players) Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance (Dual player optional) Metal Gear (Yes, I love the long cutscenes) Slightly more expensive must-have games: GTA Vice City (You must own this game) Activision Anthology (You must own this if you visit this site) Medal of Honor Socom (You need the network adaptor to play this game) Final Fantasy X (Only if your into RPG's) Obviously I love RPG's too but I won't get into that..... The funnest games I played when me and some buddies get together for a PS2 bash we always play: NHL HITZ Madden 2003 or NFL2K3 Knockout Kings Tekken Tag Have fun!
  11. I got burned a few times and that was enough for me. I now ALWAYS check the users feedback very carefully (I don't read every damn praise but I look for duplicates if they have tons of them which tells me something is fishy) ANY negatives and I almost always don't bid (also depends on the amount of feedback somewhat). No matter how much I would like the item. I haven't gotten burned since. When I sell something I always clearly state WHEN I expect it, HOW I expect payment etc. Just need to be really careful and direct.
  12. Cheers to all and to all a good 2003
  13. I posted this in another thread but I thought I'd make a Topic of it in case some people are pulling their hair out when playing the Activision Anthology for the PS2: PLEASE READ!! The difficulty setting for some (not all) games in the Anthology is always set to EXPERT (A)!!! Why? I don't know because back in the day I almost always played most games at NOVICE (B) Its annoying but you have to change the difficulty (Hit L1 or L2 I think) every time you play certain games. Read the instructions before you play a game to see what the difficulty is set to by default. Tennis is set to Expert (A) by default making it pretty near impossible to beat the damn computer player.

  15. Maxspeed had an interesting post. I'm reversing it a bit cause I'd like to read through some of these, please don't include homebrews(!) only classics.... Mine are: H.E.R.O Pitfall 2 Cosmic Ark and maybe Megamania I will play these games till the end of time!
  16. I probably will turn these games on again but who knows maybe I never will: 3D Tic-Tac-Toe Basic Programming Math Grand Prix Football Bridge
  17. Klove, anyone at AtariAge or anyone out there know when the next Anthology will be released (approx)?
  18. I got the game when it first came out. Very good game. The trick to scoring big is in "steering" your hero at later levels and keeping in mind the "safe" spot in the upper left hand corner. I'm not as good on a playstation controller but give me a standard Atari stick and I can play it for an hour straight
  19. I agree, this is the best I've seen so far on any console. (Ken, please remember the high score saves!)
  20. I haven't checked these boards in ages but I thought I'd post this here in case nobody knows about it: Here's a parts store where you can get a replacement internal connector. Just yank the old one out and insert the new one and voila! Brand new NES. Your games won't flicker any more, but you still need to keep your games clean of course. http://www.goodmans.net/product_informatio...ept=250&last=57 Its easy to install (you only need a screwdriver) and they shipped me one within a week. Again, I'm only posting this message for those who didn't know about this website and want to fix their Nintendo system..... Hope it helps.
  21. Changing this around a bit, I'm sure people would die for an Atari 2600 type controller to use on their PC or PS2 to play those Atari emulators. I know this is an engineering nightmare, but if its a possibility, my dorky butt would buy one in a heartbeat.
  22. Joey has a good point. Symbolism rather than true-to-life graphics were the only choices programmers had. Yes the graphics were bad but that was to be expected back then.
  23. I had my label fade when I left the alcohol on too long. It faded black labels pretty badly. I also had a label turn brittle and fall off over time. What I do now is use a damp cloth (water only) and wipe the labels. Works like a charm.
  24. I see it now. I should have read the whole game list first. I liked NES games anyway but its too bad its not a true arcade emulator. I'll pass on this one....
  25. I'm getting Space Treat, Marble Craze and the Ms. Pac-Man/Pac-man transfiguration so far. Hmmm Skeleton looks kind of like Tunnel Runner, I might try that next and Thrust. (Which looks like Lunar Lander by glancing at it).
