  1. As the old saying goes took the words right out of my mouth. Lol. I feel exactly the same way, the Jeep ride is where I stopped playing wayyy back then picked it up again a few months ago 'cause I decided I have to finish this and felt pretty much underwhelmed the rest of the way compared to the other games. The slides were annoying and to some extent the grapple thing where you had to loop it around trees and stuff but the Jeep ride was way too long in fact I think the game was a little overly long (I heard they did the same thing with the Last of Us 2, too long for doing basically the same thing over and over again). I really didn't feel the ‘holy shit!’ factor like I did in the first three games. Didn't care for the story like you said, it's a nice ending I guess but nothing compares to the action sequences of the second and third game. I jumped out of my chair roaring when I play the third game when you're inside the airplane and it just falls apart, or the train parts in the second game. Awesome. I actually considered ranking U4 last maybe I will, the first game is actually pretty good I only put it last because it's old.
  2. Finally beat Uncharted 4, not exactly my favorite but it was pretty good. If I had to rank them it would be 2 ,3 ,4 ,1.
  3. Magrunner: Dark Pulse is Free get it before Aug 27 https://store.steampowered.com/app/209630/Magrunner_Dark_Pulse/
  4. Yes it cheated pretty heavily so we ended up using some wii cheats to beat it. Same thing with action sequences in say…a turn based game, I'll throw on some cheats and just get past it. Speaking of action sequences why do they put collectible stuff in an action sequence when you clearly don't have a lot of time to pick them up? I think this happened in one of the Mass Effect games, everything is going to shit, you have a thousand rounds of enemy fire firing at you, the ship is gonna explode in 30 seconds and look there's all this collectible stuff laying around! A lot of players say ‘well snag it on your next playthrough’ well guess what I'm not playing it again. QTE’s are another piece of garbage but it depends on the game, Resident Evil 6 is a good example of crap design although they added an option to turn those off, still the game was crap imo.
  5. The last Mario Party game on Wii and the one on Wii U....horrible design. A boardgame on Wii called Dokapon Kingdom, iirc pre determined dice rolls combined with exact count spaces etc. Also literally just before beating the game there's a chance, possibly predetermined that something will come down destroy your weapons and armor adding on another dozen or so grinding hours to find/build those back up again. Quite possibly the worst (intentionally?) designed game ever. There's so many out there that I played in my life, there's one game released a few years back where you're a viking which is trying to be like that old arcade game Rygar, you die a lot and restart the whole piss poor designed levels, I liked Rygar in the arcade (which had better level design) but the problem is arcade games were meant to take your money so dying and restarting was part of the deal. So these guys made the game the same way, I even made the mistake of helping kick-start it, I was so annoyed to say the least. Hate that game. That game taught me not to kickstart 90% of anything anymore. Or how about: showing a cutscene, and then switching back to gameplay just to have you walk 5 feet and press a button to load another cut scene.
  6. Barony is free for 1 day 19 hours https://store.steampowered.com/app/371970/Barony/
  7. This may not be worth the hassle but you can claim Valiant Hearts for free off your phone but only if you do it off your phone through the Ubisoft Chinese website: https://store.ubi.com/ie/valiant-hearts---the-great-war/56c4948d88a7e300458b4890.html I had to translate it then login with my account, exit out, click on the link again and then claim it.
  8. Claim your Twitch SNK etc https://twitch.amazon.com/tp
  9. If anyone gets one ? send it to these guys they'll tear it down, analyze it etc. they’ll pay you double what you paid and ship it back to you. They are good, been watching them for years. https://youtu.be/xL3onFUY10s
  10. Yes and No? I voted no but what's impressive to me is for the first time all the new hardware is coming to console first and PC second (ex. AMD navi). Xbox One was the first console to be based on existing PC architecture….now the new stuff coming out is showing up on Xbox series X and probably PS5 first. You can build an ‘equivalent’ PC machine but not really because of the proprietary stuff being put in the consoles. I think the new consoles are 8 core 16 thread AMD Zen 2, (which is an AMD 3700x), you won't find a matching graphics card 'cause it doesn't really exist (yet). Like someone said above it's going to cost like over $1000 so I don't know how they're going to sell these for $500. Color me impressed. So does it impress me yes but overall no, because the games are where it's all at and you can play the majority of them on PC except for the handful of exclusives playstation has (Spiderman , Uncharted , Last of Us , God of War etc). I predict the Demon Souls remake will one day come out on PC (bluepoint is independent) but that's hard to tell Sony is very guarded with souls games it seems. So they may have something written up that prevents that from happening at least for a period of time. They could also own the demon souls name I don't know.
  11. Nice deal for a pretty cool strategy game + all DLC (I beat Valk 3): Valkyria Chronicles 4 Complete Edition $10.19 on Newegg (steam code), use this code to get a discount to make it $8.19: EMCDNGN34 https://www.newegg.com/sega-valkyria-chronicles-4/p/N82E16832203329?item=N82E16832203329&utm_medium=Email&utm_source=IGNEFL071720&cm_mmc=EMC-IGNEFL071720-_-EMC-071720-Index-_-DownloadableGames-_-32203329-S2A3D&ignorebbr=1 If you never bought from Newegg before you will not see anything that says “steam”...usually. But it is. Annoyingly they email you the code so you have to wait a bit for the email that contains the steam code.
  12. That URL that says Ubisoft forward? My original post said I don't know what it Forward is, I didn't click on your link or even bothered to scroll up to see it. Yeah I'm a lazy shit, lets move on. There's a double post, big deal. Come on man.
  13. I tend not to click on links without any comment….also quite frankly I could give a shit about Ubisoft as a general thing, so clicking on that link was of zero interest to me (no offense). Only reason I 'found out' about this is because they sent me an email directly saying "go here, click register, get this for free". Little effort for a game I’ll probably never play but I'll take it if it's free.
  14. I'm not sure what Ubisoft forward is, I think it's some kind of news channel for them but if you click register on their site you'll get Watch Dogs 2 for free https://register.ubisoft.com/ubisoft-forward-reward/en-US It took one day for me to get the email so just be patient not sure also if this is a limited time thing. After I got the email the game showed up in my Uplay account
  15. Yeah he's really dry, with some sense of humor I guess…he’s obviously a cross between Conan and maybe Solomon Kane with powers. Basic quest routine: takes a job, uses Witcher senses, kills monster, gets paid, repeat. Maybe throw a decision in there now and then. The trekking between sign posts (fast travel points) was grueling at times. The puzzles were pretty straigtforward or nonexistent… like that mirror puzzle which really wasn't one, you turn them all on in any order except one of 'em was tricky to get to, which I guess was the ‘puzzle’. The game has moments although I didn’t care for most of the cast (Triss and your Witcher teammates were probably best imo), cool graphics, great music but overall way too long especially with the type of tasks you're doing over and over again. I guess you can really get into it crafting potions\gear and the like but I just didn't care for it. I played all the games finished them all (2nd game was the worst IMO), this may be my last one it's a pretty good ending for the series so if they make another one I definitely won't be buying it on day one and will hope for some overhauls.
  16. Decided to grit my teeth (for another 40+ hours) and finish off Witcher 3 so that's done. Never going through that again, not sure what's next Persona 4 on steam or maybe Octopath Traveler. I also want to try out Black Mesa which is a Half Life remake.
  17. The new Xbox Windows 10 app is useless

Are you talking about the "Console Companion?"  I use a different app - the XBox beta app all the time to get to gamepass.

Yeah that's the one I'm not using console companion anymore 'cause they're getting rid of it. Since I don't have gamepass it's pretty useless for me. ?

Dood - you can upgrade from Gold to GamePass for just $1!

  18. Sega sale, Sonic Generations is $1 and almost all the Sega Genesis games are 99 cents. I have almost everything lol https://store.steampowered.com/publisher/Sega
  19. GOG has some extra free stuff "This unique content pack compiles for the first time ever the best of previously released CD PROJEKT RED content and adds a juicy portion of fresh, never seen before goodies." It's a little convoluted but wait for this banner to say redeem now or something like that click on it, then it will say success. You'll find the free swag in your library https://www.gog.com/#giveaway
  20. Anybody wants a free copy of Witcher 3 Game of the Year on GOG DM me, I pasted it here for a minute but figured against it since it's annoying pasting a code that doesn't work.
  21. Yeah the prices are a bit much, I'm only forced to use origin because I game mostly on PC now so if I want to play Mass Effect 3 or DAI again I have to use it. Wish these would show up on GOG instead. I also noticed some of them don't have achievements, which I like, which is still a big knock for me on Epic. ?
  22. New Origin EA Games added to Steam most of them 50% off: https://store.steampowered.com/search/?sort_by=Released_DESC&category1=998&specials=1&publisher=Electronic+Arts I wonder if EA is realizing the vast amount of people using Steam that don't want to bother with the Origin client (not sure if you still have to use the Origin client or not)
  23. AD&D Eye of the Beholder Trilogy is free https://www.gog.com/game/forgotten_realms_the_archives_collection_one
