  1. Very tempting.... SW Ohio, near Dayton....
  2. Yah, I've observed that on several revisions of the GBS. Not sure why it does it, but the 'halo' around the mouse makes me crazy.
  3. There's nothing about the 68k that would prevent multi-threading.
  4. Well, i'd definitely like to be on the non-existent pre-order list =D
  5. Big fan of LCD/LED technology, Almost every video output device in the house is one. However, I still have a ginormous 37" Sony Trinitron in the basement for the Jaguar and older consoles, plus a few CRTs for old computers. (ST monitors, Mac monitors and a really old SGI trinitron). A LCD is superior in pretty much every way, but for old hardware, you really need the output device it was designed for. The only reason to have the old hardware is to experience it exactly as it was, otherwise you don't need the old hardware and should go the emulation/FPGA route.
  6. Check out the ST compatible LCD topic. http://atariage.com/forums/topic/230561-lcd-monitor-that-supports-st-low-res-nec-multisync-lcd-1970vx/ I have a couple of these, that's all I use for STs and old Macs now.
  7. Got my payment email today, #181
  8. Also, if you have some Classic Macs in your collection, the Nec 1970's seem to get along nicely with them. I got usable pictures out of a Mac II, IIcx, Centris 610, Performa 6115 and 6200.
  9. If you are gonna run Win 3.11, Do it from inside OS/2 Warp.... so much nicer.
  10. I emailed them, they sent me my # (depressing as it is... 181)
  11. or on an unopened pallet at B&C or Best....
  12. Sheesh, I guess I can retire on the tubs of floppies in the basement
  13. FWIW..... Sometimes in life, we make mistakes, and IMHO, you suck it up and move on. No bullshit fantasy stories or intricate lies. I once listed a rather rare memory board for $1 BIN (it was supposed to be $1 starting bid). Someone snapped it up, and got a great deal, because my mistake, not theirs. edit: full disclosure, the buyer sent me an extra $50 (still way below value, but hey), because I honored the auction. People respect those who honor their word, not so much for those who make it up.
  14. any chance of some digikey part #s for the components?
  15. I wonder where the FPGA cores came from?
  16. I got what you meant, just trying to help more. It would be nice to rsync 'em =D I've been seeding since the beginning, and will continue to do so, want to make sure I am always seeding the latest and greatest.
  17. Will this work in a MegaST, or does it have to be an STfm?
  18. I used to do game reviews online (3dgaming.net) back around 1999 or so, and we were brutally honest... I remember when I did the review of Interstate 82, I joked in the summary that I probably won't be getting any exclusive invites from Activision in the future. (It was a *horrible* game)
