  3. I wish they came with solder cup pins. every one i have ever seen had solid pins. not fun.
  4. External brick and pico-psu, thats what i did with my falcon.
  5. So, I've got a MegaSTe that needs a new home, looked through completed auctions worldwide, but couldn't find a recent sale. Any idea what the "going rate" is for one? I hate to put 'make offer' type postings in the marketplace threads. Details: 4 meg ram 1/.44 floppy (someone had 'squared off' the eject button, not hideous, but not beautiful) Seagate ST157N hard drive Some yellowing of the keyboard. TOS 2.06 Thanks!
  6. If you need a few more to round out the order, I'd take one as well.
  7. Sure do, anything special you looking for?
  8. Anything outside of the US/Canada is probably going to cost more to ship than the value of the carts.
  9. There's almost always some weird quantization noise, since the ST image is effectively digitized twice, once at the input to the scan doubler, and again at the input to the LCD. Unless the planets are in alignment, and everything is magically synced, med res will show the artifacts. You can see it in the first pic in the title bar of the window where there's a regularly occuring vertical space. It's not a big deal, and the display is certainly quite usable, but it is something I wish that we could avoid. I've put a lot of thought into the issue, and I think there's a big thread somewhere where ijor and I discussed the merits of various approaches. Long story short, the only way to get a nice 1:1 display for all ST modes and refresh rates is with a full frame buffer that's synced to the ST pixel clock, and an ouput LCD that has a native mode that's an integer multiple of the ST's pixel count
  10. bump. Lots of carts left, reasonable offers cheerfully accepted!
  11. Seems like med res is always the tough one.
  12. The 74LS86 is definitely the way to go.
  13. Obligatory bump and update. Pretty sure I have responded to everyone thus far, if I have somehow missed you, please drop me a PM. Thanks! -Ken

  15. Grab a floppy drive for your old PC. Shouldn't be more than $10 Then use the utils Hatta mentions.
  16. OS/2 Warp was amazing. I ran it exclusively until Windows 95 took over. Warp ran Windows 3.x programs better than a native Windows install.
