  1. Oops, I forgot to respond to the last question... I believe that all The Vault games work on the O², but I can say for certain that Snail Maze does run on the Odyssey².
  2. You'll never forget the first time you make it to a double-digit score...you're only one away! Keep going!
  3. I hope so. But I've made my own cartridge just in case:
  4. Wow! A seventh Vault Exclusive game! And more to come?! Amazing!!
  5. Almost everything is still available! Only a few games are sold out, but they're marked on the page. If you go back and check it out, Don't forget that Pickaxe Repeat and Shogun are for sale too, but not shown on the website yet.
  6. In case anyone is wondering, the other game in the trilogy is Pickaxe Repeat, shipping soon and available from https://videopac.fr/
  7. "Grim Reaper Pete is GO GO GO!" I'd say that's a good description of the game! Maybe it should be in the seller's description. Thanks for following up on the review.
  8. I agree, Splorf is a great game and a good pickup for everyone. In Grim Reaper Pete the risk/reward concept is similar to U.F.O. where you have relatively short games and you can take risks to greatly increase your points and potentially challenge another player to beat your high score. For example, going up just one level doubles your points with a bit of risk and two more doubles it again with more risk. To balance the riskiness though, when there is a red miner that you have no chance at reaching, you can position yourself to take a soul after your own demise. This will give you points for the soul, but more importantly it continues your game. I shouted a pretty loudly (and embarrassingly) the first time I got a game-extending soul exchange in a game where I had already passed 100 points. I hope you give the game another shot.
  9. How/where were they sold? How much did they charge?
  10. Well, I'm definitely guilty of that. I haven't posted here for any announcements when the games were being released. I think that I'll post some development threads for things that I have going on from now on. http://videopac.fr/ (There's a email hyperlink for ordering on the page) Spyrus: Prepare for Defeat! takes place in the Attack of the Timelord cinematic universe (AotTCU) and is the first (or perhaps second) in a series of Spyrus games. Control time in this test of agility and speed as annihilators (the green weapons from Attack of the Timelord) redirect your path away from the end of the level. 200 levels, nine player characters (nine skill levels), and timecodes to save your progress. You'll need the timecodes as this game is a marathon. Videopac version also works with Odyssey² (and an Odyssey²-branded version will be available soon from Odyssey Brazil https://experienciaodyssey.com.br/, which works for both Odyssey² and Videopac). Pickaxe Repeat! hasn't shipped yet, but will be soon, and is a kind of "play within the play" which takes place during a game of Pick Axe Pete! You are Pete's shadow, upside-down in a level/maze that PAP just mined out and exited. You have to get a pickaxe for Pete's next level and take it to him through the correct exit door all while avoiding the boulders in reverse gravity. And then do it again. And then again. This game solves the question from my youth: "How does Pete get a brand new pickaxe to start every new level?" Available Odyssey² and Videopac versions, but I highly suggest checking out the Odyssey² version for the edge-of-your-seat, 16-page, full color, rollercoaster of a story in the manual. If you don't like so many pictures but want the story anyway, the Videopac manual is a great read as well. While you're ordering my two games on http://videopac.fr/ grab another game or two and save on shipping costs! I suggest Forbidden Lands, Spaceman Splorf: Planet of Doom, and/or Free Food for Fish!
  11. I agree it would be good to be able to play ROMs of the long-sold-out Odyssey2 homebrew cartridges. We have seen many of them get re-released on multicarts though, and I think many of those are still available. For the more recent (last five or so years) homebrews released on carts, it seems that sales are down. I have released only two games through a publisher, but there are many, many copies left for sale. That leaves the publisher with unrecouped production costs, so I wouldn't want to release the ROMs until he can sell out. I feel an obligation to respect this regardless if it takes 20 years for them to sell. (And to be honest, 20 years means they won't ever sell out.) I really want to keep making games for this system. I considered selling ROMs of currently unreleased games. Something like, "I will sell 100 copies of this ROM with the understanding that I'll wait two years and release it publicly for free". But is there enough interest?
  12. I want to go for the record...any chance we can play it?
  13. I haven't confirmed this for myself, but I think you can program (and erase and reprogram) an 8748 chip and it's compatible to the 8048. As far as I know, you can't reprogram a used 8048.
  14. What are the tools you have for making the playfield/grid?
  15. Is this the same ROM as the Videopac version?
  16. Yes, but more than that: it had a whole external computer module attached to the cart.
  17. I don't have the Conquest items, but I've seen the Quest board out on the internet. A quick search found this: https://www.giantbomb.com/images/1300-361631
  18. Thanks for providing the scans for the three manuals. I'm close to finishing it up and posting the PDF.
  19. Take this "Take the Money and Run!" manual and run! Take the Money and Run!.pdf
  20. Wow! Those look like they don't need much cleaning up! Thanks for the nice scans!
  21. If you or anyone else has high-res scans of the following, I'd be happy to clean them up similar to how I did the Turtles manual. Electronic Table Soccer!, Pachinko!, and Take the Money and Run! These three in particular don't seem to be available online anywhere and are the next best candidates to get "pretty good" copies of while we're waiting for Kirkland to some back and finish his work on his better-than-pretty-good-quality manual collection.
