  1. My favorite parts: "Son of a B!" "Have you seen Xanadu?" "I am the edible egg." "I dropped my water!"
  2. I've been on both of these forums (same username on both) for a bit now, it's probably time to tell a story or two. Here goes: a.) How you got your system? It was one of the systems in my parents' basement since I could remember. Technically it was my parents', so *my* first system I bought in college off eBay. $25, shipped with a voice module. No one in my dorm ever heard of this system, but they quickly became fans of it and the it and the 72-In-1 Multicart! All of a sudden, I was playing games I never had before...there were now turtles that sing songs, the looniest of balloons, and physics-defying volleyball matches. b.) Your favorite memory of the system or games? There was the time that I beat the long-standing Attack of the Timelord high score my older brother held by adopting the strategy of staying in level two and keep picking off the red balls. My brother told on me to mom and got me grounded because I was playing the game wrong. There was that time that I beat my cousin in Basketball! 156-0 (the score would flip to 0 from 99, so 56-0 I suppose). He recently reminded me about this and that he's not angry about it anymore...he says. But I gotta go with a month ago. I brought to a family gathering a prototype version of the game I was programming. My niece played *my* unreleased game on my parents' O2 for over two hours. Afterwards, she said "I'd pay a dollar for that if you had it on Steam." c.) The weirdest thing you have typed into "Type and Tell" to make The Voice say? Oh my! As a highschooler (at the time) that still would fire up the old O2, lots of stuff that I can't remember not would be appropriate to post here if I did. Somehow making the Odyssey swear (which it would always mispronounce) was hilarious to my friends. Okay, all that might be more than you wanted to know.
  3. I tried out the Manual Labor page on your http://evilbadman.com/ site, but none of the Odyssey2 links were working. Am I doing it wrong?
  4. I thought that Kirkland posted that he had all the scans, he just needed time to work on cleaning them up. But in addition to the official O2 manuals that Kirkland is gathering, I'm also interested in the manuals for the homebrews that have been freely released into the community (the ones in Rene's download). If anyone can get good scans of those, I'd be willing to take a shot at working with them. (Note, I'm not as skilled as Kirkland so the work won't be as amazing, but they'd be better than nothing.)
  5. I hope you get another vacation soon, I need some more O2 reading material!
  6. Pretty fun game! I didn't see that you made this (it's well before I joined this board), but I'm glad you updated it.
  7. Magnavox Magnavox Magnavox Magnavox Magnavox Magnavox
  8. I'm hoping that this project is still going. I know that this will take a while amongst other priorities/responsibilities, so I'm patient. I appreciate the work you've put in so far. If there's something I can do (and not get in the way), I'm willing to help out where I can.
  9. Game looks good. The faster shark is tougher to avoid. I don't know why I didn't notice this before, but I can't stop seeing it now: the sharks move backwards.
  10. Fun. When I was playing, I wondered if I could shoot the shark to give me a second before a new one started chasing me. The shark was easy enough to evade not to need to be able to do this though.
  11. Made it to the level 4 boss (in v25), but a greyman got me. Score 95. Fun game so far. *Update - New high score: 170*
  12. I had the same idea. All single player games should do this.
  13. I happened to make this a couple of months ago. Smithereens! Smithereens.pdf
