Release 0.4 Rockford's car now zooms through the title screen. Pull down on the joystick to see a Mack truck chasing him in the title screen (possibly a temporary hack to see a possibility for future gameplay). Improved tuning of end of theme. As reported by @ZeroPage Homebrew in this thread, Javatari links aren't working with the new forum. I couldn't find a dedicated topic discussing this. @Paulo Peccin is someone working to fix Javatari to handle the long content URLs that the new forum is using for 2600 homebrew games? Or is this a problem with the forum? Thanks!!

It's interesting; if you go backwards, it changes to a mirrored playfield. The score stuff may be doing that maybe, because it appears based on score. I like your sprites, too! The Pac-Man, ghost, trees, and clouds are all good!

That looks great!!! I never got this far on the arcade; I didn't even get the blue cap: But, there are so many possibilities even with just Pac-Man! Like... Maybe Pac-Man could do the Decathlon. Or he could swim? And go underwater with ghost-fish?

It's Conner time! The final is here! (0.36)

This is neat! Some feedback on Connertime_V0.32 (11).a26: The most difficult screens are the ones with the fence. I feel like the bird could keep flying over and over and dropping things at different places. I feel like my character should die maybe when I fall too far. I feel like on some screens, I jump higher than expected. There is a weird screen on later levels. I've attached two. Are they vertical train tracks? Is it a waterfall? I kept at it for a while; it's fun to see what changes over time. Should I have a set number of lives? Should the screens other than the ones with fences be more challenging? It is great to "save Smurfette" again! It's like the Smurfs, right? This feels like standard kernel bB other than the separated scanlines in the playfield. That's not bad, but it does, because of the empty space between "blocks". -
That looks amazing!

An attempt to play all the relatively in-tune notes in order for the audio control values listed in RT's bB Music and Sound Data Creation Toy. It also scrolls a musical note in the playfield. I may have made mistakes, but hopefully it's close. You can use the joystick left and right to change the tempo, fire to restart, and reset to fully reset. notes_dev.bas.bin notes_dev.bas

That was great! You should finish the project! Note: if you've not played Space Pac-Man, the first part makes me think of Pac-Land.

Thanks!! I can't wait to try it out! Note: about me saying it was frustrating at times- I just meant getting into the weeds with a problem. I like working on it; I just run out of steam working on a specific problem often. But, I understand the hobby thing, too!

@Albert would hosting Javatari or similar on AtariAge be an option if this can't get figured out? I'm guessing not, but thought I'd ask. It's helpful to be able to test homebrew games easily (unless it's DPC+), and it works on mobile also. Thanks for all of your help! Edit: reading through @ZeroPage Homebrew's report in the thread he linked to, it seems that this is either a problem with the file only being accessible on the same site (in which case, hosting Javatari or similar on AtariAge might help) or something to do with Javatari or the Javatari website not handling the new file URL which might be of interest for @Paulo Peccin to try to fix (in which case, hosting Javatari on AtariAge wouldn't help, but someone could perhaps fix Javatari or its website), and I don't know which.

How do you know what I think? But you're right! Sounds good! I can't wait to see it! Note that bB has pfscroll, so if you wipe an edge with pfvline and use pfpixel or pfvline to draw while scrolling, you can make a platformer in bB in 4k or 8k without bank switching; the complexity is more in all the variables and other data about where things are and which sprites to show where, and you may have difficulty with multiple turtles flickering when displayed in certain ways, but maybe not in others. I agree; it sounds good! I've read that there could be slight differences on different hardware (?) as well as between dedicated emulation hardware and emulators; so, if your goal is to use 2600s in a symphony, and you get a random assortment of 2600s and Flashbacks, and one has to do a solo, you might need to learn the specifics about what is in-tune. Similarly, if you don't want a game you sell to sound bad when played on console/platform X, you might need to know those specifics. There are many tools available to create music on the 2600, but I like referring to RT's bB Music and Sound Data Creation Toy for reference if you just want to know what is what note, at least for bB, but I assume it carries over to asm, etc. -
Thanks! I just coded the music by hand in a text editor referencing RT's bB Music and Sound Data Creation Toy. The score flashing the numbers was for debugging, so I could see which note was off in the melody. The green on white background you had before was perfect! How did you do that? The music still needs to be finished; it can get a little frustrating for me to work on it when I'm not "in the zone", so I've held off, but I'll try to make some progress later on it!

Unfortunately, I have a mac and don't have Windows setup on it. I'll see what I can do, though. For now, I'll do another release with the audio code cleaned-up a bit more.
