  1. My latest video analyzing the value of classic games is now live! This week we are taking a look at the Lynx! 25 Most Valuable Atari Lynx Games
  2. I'm working on a new YouTube video about the Lynx and created this thumb using stable diffusion and photoshop. Pretty happy with it. Would you click this thumbnail?
  3. Didn't get a response to this so I decided to just crack it open and have a go at all the solder joints just in case something was bridged. I shortened the wire lengths in several cases to clean it all up a bit. resoldered all the connections to the resistor bridge and re-soldered all the connections to the RCA jacks. And now it looks great! thanks to all for responding.
  4. Hopefully it is visible here, probably see it best in the black borders. sort of a vertical line of noise. I have seen similar from people who did composite mods of the 7800 without removing the audio from the composite going to the RF. Don’t think that is what is happening here as i am pulling audio separately. Let me know if you need some better footage. IMG_7015.mov
  5. Hi Gang. I'm hoping I can get some help troubleshooting my UAV install. I have a bit of noise on my screen and I cant figure it out. I've rewatched some of @-^CrossBow^-'s YouTube vids (as well as a few others) and I've yet to find one that goes into detail on how they wire up their RCA jacks. I think the problem might be because I am using a shared ground for both video and audio. Here are a couple of pictures. Is there anything here jumping out to anyone as an obvious wiring mistake or potential shorts? I appreciate any insights.
  6. I think for me the game any new controller would have to work on would be burger time. even the OEM disc can miss some of the tight corners and direction changes required for that game. I don’t have this controller, but if i did that would be my litmus test.
  7. If anyone is interested, I finally finished this video. Got a bit slowed down by a new position at my day job leaving me with a lot less extra time to work on any hobbies. However this pause meant that I was able to pick up a 7800 flash cart from my buddy @TheRealOC. That was nice as it meant i didn’t have to buy a copy of tank command to capture game footage, Anyway, please feel free to roast me in the comments about how inaccurate these prices are!!
  8. Cevin just posted to his FB page looking for someone selling an ST or and STE. Not sure if there are any industrial fans on here, but this would be a contribute to the set up of one of the greatest industrial bands of all time. https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=pfbid0jsfLdYNR3AEeayHrJWJQqe1PTwcJNWVeqQRibxbJBzEEbCWrgt39Lg1nhu8X5KAGl&id=694185850&mibextid=qC1gEa
  9. Just posted the video. Thanks for the help everyone.
  10. Just posted the finished video. Captured gameplay from my recently resurrected vectrex. Let me know what you think: 25 Most Valuable Vectrex Games (From 2002 to 2022) https://youtu.be/LD37ofQ5brM
  11. I don’t have a spinner controller, but fell like hyperchase, bedlam, and web war are obviously choices for games that would work well with one.
  12. 25 Most Valuable Atari 5200 Games (From 2002 to 2022) Thanks so much for your help on this!
  13. Just posted my latest video for the odyssey 2 and so far the feedback has been much better than it was here. I really tried to include the feedback of the Atari Age Forum memebers. I didn't really change anything about the thesis of my video, which was to compare one specific price guide to now. I did update the 2002 prices so they are adjusted for inflation. Thanks to you all for helping me make this series better.
  14. Thanks for much for you help on this everyone. I'd be curious to know what you think.
  15. I'm rendering out the video now. I'll post it here when it goes live tomorrow.
  16. I agree. I collect thinking that i am just going to keep and enjoy everything. But every now and then you find yourself with duplicate items and in that case i am happy to find the price of something has gone up since the last time I looked at it.
  17. I have had a lot of feedback from non collectors who found it really interesting. In most cases because they had a colecovision as kids and it jogged a memory or two and they think it’s neat that their childhood system isn’t total garbage.
  18. I am running into this on Odyssey 2 as well. Most of the super rare games are consistant, but for the sort of mid tier rarity games they flucuate pretty wildly and if you are patient you can get a game for half of what is listed on price charting. I will mention this as part of my intro, thank you for this idea.
  19. Hi Again Everyone. Thanks for the helpful suggestions. I am going to start working on this video now and hopefully have it finished by next friday. While this video isn't about rarity, I would like the rarity to be accurate. Please let me know if anything here seems out of whack. Thank you all again.
  20. Ah. well. I can’t seem to find a recent boxed sale. (as you can see) I will keep an eye out.
  21. I will update the script for the video to explain the fact that Art Master and 3D Mine Storm came with those peripherals and so the CIB price is actually the CIB price of the light pen and the 3D Imager (would love to get my hands on those items myself one day) Do you have any sources for what the prices of the bug fixed Mine Storm and Mr Boston carts would have been 20 years ago? I'd love to include them, but I'd want to have a 2002 price to show the games values over time.
  22. I totally understand that. When I finish the video I will post it along with the final spreadsheet of the values based on any additional comments or adjustments I have made thanks to this thread.
  23. Ah, that is good information. My assumption was that since the price guide was published in the us, the games listed would be teh US versions. I will be sure to mention that for each of those games as I discuss them in the video.
  24. OK dudes. After taking everyone's comments and suggestions into account, here is the updated list I have added a column for the rarity guide rating. However, it should be noted that this video is not intending to be about the most "rare" games, it is instead focused on the change in value over the last 20 years. I want to include rarity as it might be a factor in a games value : Title CIB Price 2002 CIB 2002 Adjusted for Inflation CIB Price August 2022 Percentage increase Publisher RarityGuide Rarity Ninja Golf 1 2 158 7800.00% Atari 47 Scrapyard Dog 1 2 81 3950.00% Atari 50 Alien Brigade 15 25 144 476.00% Atari 90 Mario Bros. 15 25 98 292.00% Atari 62 Rampage 30 50 195 290.00% Activision 88 Midnight Mutants 25 42 160 280.95% Atari 68 Kung-Fu Master 35 58 216 272.41% Activision 68 Fatal Run 25 42 143 240.48% Atari 88 Basketbrawl 15 25 80 220.00% Atari 86 Tank Command 98 162 460 183.95% Froggo 86 Summer Games 15 25 65 160.00% Atari 44 Commando 25 42 108 157.14% Atari 81 Double Dragon 30 50 127 154.00% Activision 77 Ikari Warriors 39 65 161 147.69% Atari 80 Xenophobe 15 25 60 140.00% Atari 55 Planet Smashers 30 50 100 100.00% Atari 74 Sentinel 50 83 161 93.98% Atari n/a Motor Psycho 25 42 78 85.71% Atari 72 Mean 18 Ultimate Golf 39 65 111 70.77% Atari 81 Pete Rose Baseball 35 58 95 63.79% Absolute 48 Super Skateboardin' 35 58 81 39.66% Absolute 51 Impossible Mission 25 42 50 19.05% Atari 89 F-18 Hornet 35 58 50 -13.79% Absolute 83 Tomcat F-14 Flight Simulator 35 58 43 -25.86% Absolute 48 Water Ski 90 149 82 -44.97% Froggo 82
