  1. Does anybody have Win9x version of the Atari 5200 and 7800 system emulator that i could download from them? Ive tried several sites and each time some error happens and i cant download it right. Sometimes i DL it and it tells me it wasnt a valid archive and i reDL it and it still doesn work. Some of them are for the Win32 platform and i dont even know what the heck Win32 is. I thought it was an old version of Windows but even that still doesnt work. Does anybody have a copy of the 5200 and 7800 emulator that i can get from them or a great website that has versions of that emulator that runs on Windows 95 or 98? Thanks, i would appreciate it!
  2. I know this question isnt really game songs but i was hoping somebody might tell me...in the 80s flick Monster Squad (anybody ever see it but me and my brother?) there was a song that was going "Rock untill you drop...dance untill your heart stops..rock untill you drop..dance till your feet fall off.." etc. and i cant remember the actual name of the song or the group that did it? Uh...anybody know what im talking about and what the right answer is?
  3. Thanks for the info! i appreciate it. What is in that Space Invaders book you were talking about? I checked amazon for a description of it but all i saw was the price for a used copy was 225 bucks! Just wondering for more info on that one! thanks!
  4. or does anybody know of an album or something along the lines of songs about or using the songs from classic games? arcade or video games. A album compliation of songs from those kinda games? I just got this tremendous desire to have something along those lines! I can't help it!
  5. This is kind of a dumb question but i figured i'd ask anyway. Does anyone know of any other game books that kinda describe some of the games in video game history? An example of what im talking about is that Arcade Fever book by...uh, i cant remember his name but i got the book from my local bookstore. Something along those lines was kinda what i was hoping to get. Did they ever come out with a sequel of that book or is there something else that i can get along the same lines? anything at all? Thanks.
  6. From what ive heard on these songs, they sound great! Does anybody know of any other songs that are done about classic or not so classic video games? Atari, NES, Sega, the whole deal? Anybody?
  7. What i want to do is to rip some songs off of old video games and put them onto a cd. Does anybody know how to do this? For example, i have a bunch of old systems, 2600, NES, Sega Gen...and alot of games for those systems have songs that i'd like to listen to on a cd but i dont know how to take them and put them on a disc. Can somebody tell me how to do it? Like on the old Sega game Ghostbusters, there are the battle songs when you fight the boss ghost and i dont know how to take that song and put it on a disc. Can somebody tell me what to do? I'd really appreciate it. Thanks. ps, when i say "rip off" i dont mean it in a way that is likely to get me sued by the game companies. I just want the songs so i can listen to em on a cd for my own use. Not like im gonna sell em. I dont think anybody else would like the old midi's and songs from these old games anyway. 8. is Genecyst a Genesis emulator? cause even though there are a lot of NES and Atari music i want, there are about about a dozen or more Genesis games that have a bunch of songs that i would like to get from them. As for the NES and other versions, midi's would do ok, less i cant get a exact copy from the game themselves.
  9. Now, even though i grew up during this age, i was young but i still feel like a 9 yo asking this but does anybody know if there were anyother game based songs from the 80s? The only one i know of currently is Pac-Man fever and i didnt even hear that untill recently. Does anybody else know of anyothers?
  10. Thanks thats just what i was looking for! I appreciate it!
  11. Was the Coleco made after the 2600 then? When was it made? Was it supposed to be in competition with the 5200 or 7800? I know almost nothing bout it. I know you think that seeing how i grew up in the 80s, i would know something about it, but I never knew anything bout it.
  12. I like the Activision style cartridges and the ones that were done like Frogger and Empire Strikes back. They looked different and for some reason i just thought they looked cool.
  13. Can someone tell me what the difference between Colecovision and the Atari 2600? The very first time i even heard of it was on that South park episode and someone told me it was like the Atari. I was just wondering what were the differences. Thanks.
  14. I was just wondering about this, but when i tried to visit the Stella website, for some reason i keep getting a Site Forbidden on this server message. Is this because im accessing it via AOL or something? And dont tell me how aol is gay...believe me, i know. But i thought maybe that the website would tell me what buttons run the paddle controller for the stella emulator and now i find that i cant get to it. Could somebody please tell me why? Were they shut down? or is it just because the AOL Gestapo say I cant get there using aol? Thanks
