    Ahh, so the "patina" trend finally hit the console scene. Easily worth $300 Also, he apparently painted it because it was turning brown... Never seen that happen to a dark grey console.

    There was a game on the SNES called Vortex. They probably didn't want Ultra Vortek to be mistakenly associated with it.

    So if people say the Jag simply can't do straight ports of Neo games, it's a poor argument? It's very much about the hardware. Not just the amount of addressable ROM data, but the Neo's hellish fast bus is far from typical for a cart system. You might be able to get something close enough for some, but it would be an awful lot of work. Also, SNK (or whoever owns them this week) would barbecue your ass. ??

    No I didn't. If I forget if it's set to 50 or 60 I just feel the switch at the back. Up is 60, down is 50. ?

    Yeah man. That's what I did. Tiny switch, countersunk and mounted internally. The Jag is one of the few old machines that actually has several games where developers properly handled PAL. A lot of Jag games have increased vertical resolution when played at 50hz, and some just play better. A switch rather than a hard 60hz mod is what I would recommend.

    It could just be oxidation of the contacts within the switch. Could it be worth some careful spraying of Deoxit into the switch and working it up and down a few dozen times (with the power supply disconnected)?
