Aaaaand congratulations, you're a winner! Behind curtain #1, you get a sparkling "Ignore Me" coupon! You can redeem the coupon for an "Ignore Me" billboard or an "Ignore Me" paint job for your house!
-
Oh goody! That means we have a whole year to ignore it!
-
... or ignore it.
-
Move this post to the "Ignore" thread...
-
Likewise! And for all Atarians everywhere!
-
This may come backatcha and bite ya in the kishkas!

<Yoda> The ignoring is weak with these 'uns! </Yoda>

Tacos + Beer + Atari = bliss!

Soooo... The new rule for successful posting is: mark the post as deleted (but don't delete it!) and tell'em to ignar it! Gotcha.

I have MX Linux (Debian) and was able to compile RespeQt 5.3. It is able to mount and open ATR images I download from Internet. But I cannot add files to any of those ATR images (even as sudo). Also when I create an image (16 MB HD image), it always creates them as write protected, and so far have not found a way to change that to writeable.

You could try Picobricks: https://picobricks.com/how-to-use-picobricks/ Raspberry Pico (boots in a second) with integrated hardware for DIY projects (with kids in mind). It's fun!

Bummed that I was not able to attend due to unforeseen circumstances. I hope there will be other opportunities!

Atari 8-bit User Swap Meet - Interest in Charlotte, NC?
Ppyo replied to 800_Rocks's topic in Atari 8-Bit Computers
Hey Rickster, fellow Local Atarian! For a while I thought I was the only one in the area! Good to know there are more! Looking forward to this event! -
Nothing to sell or trade for now, except stories . Might buy something, if my self-control wavers... Will mark the calendar, as I would love to meet local Atarians and share experiences! I also would love to help set it up.

Calling out all CAD & 3D printing wizards! Not me, of course: a) I am no wizard, and b) I have no 3D printer. Two variants I see could happen: One, CAD expert could create a file for, say, an 800XL case (IMHO the best, most elegant case design). And of course, the file for the 3D printer. Two, a total redesign from scratch for an 800XL motherboard. Could be something similar to the MegaST case, for instance. What say you?
-
Yes, it is the same the 800XL came with when I got it. No Issues that I know of, so far! <knock on head>

Oh! I see, good to know! Thanks, Doc!

Man, he was oozing enthusiasm and knowledge!! What a loss for the community.

Oh, yes. I've been looking all over the Intharwebs. No luck. I did find docs for Neodesk 4, but I understand there were a lot of changes in that version. If you could find it and rescan it, it would be awesome!
