Dreamcast - Power Stone

    Even on 3 star difficulty it can get tricky on the last few rounds. I use Falcon a lot and can usually beat it. Wish this series and a few others from that era would get new entries or an HD remaster.

Dreamcast - Record of Lodoss War

    Took around 50 hours. The last 10 hours was just grinding weapon and armour skills. The game was really good til near the end with a steady stream of boss battles that progressively required gear leveling. Really good overall and nothing else like it on Dreamcast. Very much like a Baldurs Gate or Diablo game with slash and looting. After the ending it lets you load up your save for additional content like another dungeon. It was gonna require even more skill grinding so I called it quits for now.

Played through the last half of this again. And end boss is challenging.

Saving after the ending seems to open up some extra bonus content. And right before the final boss I skipped a 4 pillar boss rush for demon armour also. So there's still a lot of content to be had with this title. I've had my fill though. It goes from really fun and rewarding to controller throwing irritating too many times. Time to move onto something else since the main quest is complete now. 55 hours was mostly well spent on this title.

So you beat down the goddess for her to rip out your heart which is good and it makes her good? But you die in the process. But now she is good and won't destroy everything.

The end is infuriating 🤬. When the life bar is half down she summons some giant thing that casts petrify on you so they wail on you while you throw the controller 🙄

Another 10 hours of powering up skills I beat the grey witch and made it to the last room.

Great, another twist with another boss to fight. This last dungeon just won't end. I really just wanna fight Kardis and see if I am strong enough yet. I leveled all my gear up so nothing is real hard now but this is all very time consuming.

Or just a steady stream of boss battles on the road to Kardis. Then this guy again. Not really a plot twist, just annoying.

Finally. This guy and then Kardis he woke up and I should be done with this.

The end of RoLW is very difficult without doing the additional dungeons for better upgrades. It may be time to move on again soon to something else.

Killed the 2 quest bosses and brought back their heads. That was fun. Got a key to unlock the final dungeon. I feel grossly under leveled though. I might do the optional dungeons for awhile and wander around collecting things I missed.

Several more hours I puzzled my way to him. I also caught a spelling error that irked me.

This is much longer than I expected. Switches and puzzles abound. One more level to the evil wizard guy now. Good thing I picked the healer as a companion or I would have died several more times.

After a rather long dungeon area I'm finally nearing the wizards the black dragon sent me after. Also gained the ability break down large crystals blocking my path to different areas now. Lost another hour in an area due to low magic resistance and dying over & over.

Since RoLW doesn't save unless you are at a save gem I am back to writing down game times after dying and not getting to save several times. Also got a new game this week.
