  1. I haven't experienced that myself. I am generally bad at missile command games, but most of that is on me. Great breakdown @Mockduck. I'm going to try the mouse/ classic controller option myself (maybe that will make up for some of my lack of skill).
  2. Hahaha. Clearly by reply was taking too long. @Mockduck, you beat me too it by about 10 seconds
  3. This was a great surprise drop. I like that the original game is now just MC 2020, to differentiate. I'm glad we didn't lose it
  4. I had this issue with Heros of Loot last night. I checked this morning, and it worked.

Unless I missed it, I didn't see it on the list. I heard mention of Yomp for the 8-bit, but I think that's a different game.

That is a great question. I wasn't aware of this game until you mentioned it. It seems right up their alley, with what they've been putting out recently. It also seems like a no brainer for the classic controller. This is definitely one they should port to the VCS.
  8. It's looking really cool. I am very hyped for this release
  9. This looks awesome. I know it's pre-alpha right now, but do you expect that this will be your next VCS release? I remember you mentioning another project that was a tank themed game. Is that also in the works?
  10. That's the same with every Jaguar emulator I've tried. IS 1 & 2 seem to be unplayable through emulation right now. As for AvP, I have definitely played it on Phoenix and even Project Tempest back in the day, and I don't recall having the doors displayed that way.
  11. That's what I get for showing up late to the VCS party. Thanks for the fact check @stirrell
  12. Unless I'm mistaken, the original Missile Command Recharged was not a pack-in, Atari Vault Vol 1 was. I'm pretty sure I paid for Missile Command Recharged.
  13. Super duper teasery-teaser. Thanks for supporting the VCS, man. I'm looking forward to it.
  14. You beat me to it. Flying Shark is one of my favorite of your ST ports. I guess we can check that one off the list
  15. They are all good, but Gravitar and Yars' are my favorites (in that order). They are great ones to start off with.
  16. Agreed. I only own the VCS versions of the Recharged games, but I feel like playing some of them with the classic controller (Gravitar, Asteroids, etc) is the definitive experience. That's one of the bigger selling points.

  18. Yeah, I couldn't begin to tell you how long it took. I guess I wasn't paying attention to that. It kept me busy with occasional playing sessions (I was playing a couple other games too) for a bit over a month.
  19. Very pumped for this. Thanks for the heads up
  20. Each city has a different layout and different textures for the buildings. They're not massively different, but each one is unique. The second city (San Diablo) has sections that are closed off from one another, so you have to use the underground transport system (costs money) to get to certain sections. This can play into what missions you decide to take, and when. The third city (Troy) is more open than the second one, but your company starts with far less territory than the competing companies, so you start with your back against the wall.
  21. There is no boss battle or anything. You just play the missions until all of the territory in all 3 cities is under your company's control. Sorry, I didn't take a shot of the ending, but I remember it being a pretty simple text screen, that gave me a hard time for not playing on the hard difficulty (I think I played medium or whatever it's called in this game). The mission types are randomly sorted, but there are only 7-8 different types. It's a lot of "attack this, find the nukes, recover a data pod, you're under attack". This is one department where I think the game falls short, as more mission variety would have helped things stay fresh. That said, it's full textured polygons on the Jag with a reasonable frame rate, and not too much slow down (only a bit with huge waves of enemies). On a technical level, I was very impressed.
