  1. At most department stores. http://www.radicagames.com/playtv-legends-sega-genesis.php These plug and play units use a Genesis on a chip hardware.
  2. yessir...just one actually. Super Street Fighter 2.
  3. Well, from what I hear the cell architecture is very much like a supercomputer architecture and I'm not surprised that they will create one from the cell. Remember when they would create supercomputers from apple G5s? However, on the other hand, the cell is only good at doing certain things. From what I hear, games and general computing is not great with the cell. That's why PC manufacturers haven't jumped on the cell and why we hear the cell is difficult to program for in the PS3.
  4. You have four hd sets?!??! But good point: HDMI is a relatively new connector. If people have it and want it, they pay extra. nothing too bad. Everyone else will be using component. It is too bad that these new connectors come out after people have accepted component as the de facto HD cable carrier. Now people look at their 3000 dollar televisions and go: "Well, THIS feels outdated."
  5. Meh, it doesn't rub me any way at all. I don't plan on getting a 360 and I don't plan on getting a PS3. I'm sure you can now guess what I am getting, but I'm not going to rub any supposed "superiority" it may or may not have in anyone's faces. Now back to my console that displays 5 movable objects and a background. Something I have fun with.
  6. Inversion is totally possible in the options menu. As is stylus sensitivity, left handed play and even the option to use the action buttons as looking (although I don't recommend it).
  7. For me its: "The 2600 only has 5 available characters! WTF, mate?" Or currently, "The Wii has no HIdef?! What the eff?"
  8. Yeah, it would make perfect sense for atari games to be on the Wii! Plus paddle games wouldn't be hard, what with the wiimote and all. All you'd have to do is move the wiimote left and right.
  9. One-One-A One-One-A-Two-B One-B-Two-B-Three Zero-Zero-Zero-Destruct-Zero
  10. I hear the black one shows fingerprints pretty bad because of the glossy surface. That's why I like my white DS.
  11. I hear ya. I don't have cable either. I just rent everything i want to watch on DVD. Netflix is great!
  12. Actually, I have never heard of the Fallen nor Elite Force before. I might have to check that out. I see I'm not the only one with great ideas... Well, when I was theorizing about removing the arm/weapon model, it was because you already see you real arm holding the wii remote. With keyboard/mice and controller set ups, this does add a nice touch of realism. However, since the wii is set up to give you that sense of freedom and liberty (like holding a gun) the arm isn't needed. Kinda like Lethal Enforcers or Virtua Cop. You know, I hate to go off topic but I think the Wii could revive the on-rails shooter. No one would need to buy an extra peripheral, the wiimote is all you need. It's little things like that that get me excited about nintendo's new console.
  13. If anyone is interested, a game is being released for the DS called "Hotel Dusk: Room 215" which is a bit of a film noir-ish adventure game. It looks really neat. http://ds.ign.com/objects/827/827002.html
  14. They have reruns on G4 about everynight.
  15. well, maybe the ds is an optional thing. If you don't have one, then a portion of your TV screen is dedicated to tricorder readings. A popup so to speak. The ds would be one of those gimmicky things. But since the DS has a microphone and the ability to plug in a headset microphone, perhaps this could initiate voice chat. Then again, having a DS, a DS headset, and waving your arms around would look a bit cumbersome and dorky. Then again...you know those star trek fans...
  16. I was also thinking that since the weapons in star trek are rather boring (basically phasers and proton torpedoes), it would be more exploration/adventure than FPS based. You have to remember the prime directive and not kill everything you see - have what you do add or subtract points which promotes you up the ranks until you get a yellow shirt or something. Add bits of humor here and there, some inside trekkie jokes. Could be cool. I think that the poking out arm with weapon in hand in almost every first person game should go. If you think about it, the way the wii works, it's not even necessary.
  17. I was looking at the Wii-mote and the way it's held reminded me of the phasers from ST:TNG and then it hit me... "Star Trek: red-shirt ensign commando" Basically, it's all about being the first (expendable) group to be beamed to and to sweep through hostile planets/spaceships. The Wii-mote is used as a phaser (switching from stun to kill is done via the d-pad) and also as a tricorder sensor. What would be even cooler would be to have DS compatibility and you could use that as your tricorder, giving you information and also doubling as a radar. Co-op would be interesting as well. Anyway, what do you think?
  18. I'll be getting a Wii hopefully on launch day! (depends on the budget). I am not a huge gamer, so spending even more money on another console/games is a little too much. Wii + DS = enough gaming already!
  19. I have Tetris on my phone and it gives me enough distraction when I need it. The problem with Cellphone gaming is that they tend to be slow, dull and have bad controls. Yes, I have Tetris on my phone, but for some reason it's not as addicting as the old original Gameboy Tetris. If I want handheld gaming on the go, I'll bring my ds. My cell phone is used just for calls.
  20. Is this the 4th dimension gaming they've been talking about?
  21. It would be nice to find a prototype or maybe a typed manuscript or diskette of the assembly of this apparent version.
  22. I think it's a fun game to play if you want a few minutes of distraction. When I was first getting back into atari a couple years ago (I was about 3-4 when we got the NES so the atari went bye bye), I was surprised by how FAST the ship moved. Like many a naive gamer, I thought the 2600 would be slow and dull, but once I popped that game through an emulator (and after a few frustrating minutes of trying to figure out how to even start the game...damn Game Reset button!) I was very surprised. So I hold the game in high regards for showing me the solid 60 htz frame rate that the atari can sustain. Objectively, I do wish the waves would happen in terms of levels a la Space Invaders. Or at least have the option.
