  1. I uploaded a video that will show you step by step how to get to where you need, Atarifever. Good luck! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X447E6NGseY
  2. I know exactly which spot you're talking about. I was a little confused there as well. If I remember correctly, there shouldn't be a force field, but I will have to check it again. It's not a room necessarily. It's in the middle of some crossroad in a hallway. There should be broken blocks held with pipes and lava flowing underneath it. You're able to walk right above it. Anyway if you stand in the middle of the crossroad and look up, there will be an entrance to a big sqaure. Jump up and over and you'll fight a mini-boss.
  3. Well, GNG would be fine if it were an actual BEATABLE game! Remember the NES game? You had to beat the game TWICE in order to complete it? Hell, I could barely get past the graveyard!
  4. I picked bloodlines just because that was the only game I've actually owned in the Castlevania series. I thought it had great music, graphics and decent gameplay. Although it seemed the game was much easier with Eric LeCarde than with John Morris. I'm surprised it's beating every other version so far! Even SOTN!
  5. In Mario 64, you can use the C buttons to control the camera which is something you have to do and get used to. In Zelda they pretty much kept the camera behind you, but Z-targeting helped keep the camera on what was important. Other than those two games, all I had were racing games, Rogue Squadron and FPSes. But yeah, I mastered those controls pretty well.
  6. It may be a wooden sword for "training" levels. That's what it looks like to me.
  7. Here's to hoping the DS version won't be some Gimped version that plays like crap.
  8. I think that a concern that Nintendo had was people you piss off in Metroid Prime Hunters could destroy your village in Animal Crossing. With Nintendo's system you're able to choose which friends you want for which game. Although I have to agree, it can get a little annoying. And I know there have been a few threads out there with MPH friend codes, but they're not well marked and you have to go through pages of talk before you actually get to a code. I thought that having an "official" thread would clean things up a bit.
  9. Wow, the animal crossing thread has nine pages and this doesn't have a single reply! I guess that tells you something.
  10. I don't think this is going to be called River Raid even though the game play shares similarities. But on the other hand, those graphics really DO look good!
  11. The Wii-mote, silly. Just aim your Wii-mote using the on-screen aimer (probably a spark of some sort), and click the trigger. Not that I really think the Wii will be running DS games. Could you imagine playing Metroid Prime hunters that way?! It'd get a little ridiculous. I say no. It would be nice if they had a game boy player built in...alas. I dream.
  12. I was wondering the same thing! From what I've gathered, the roms you download from the VC will run on the wii via emulation. If this were to indeed be the truth, this machine would be an emulation god-send. I heard they were working on encryption to make sure that a) you can't transfer the roms from the wii to the computer or b) you can't transfer games from your computer to you wii. However, I am very confident that someone will hack this within a month. PS: It just hit me: wouldn't it be funny if people started calling the 'V'irtural 'C'onsole "charlie"?
  13. I love my DS. I got the 1st gen GBA with the horrible screen when it came out and bought a couple of games and never really touched it after that. It just seemed like more of the same abeit with more colorful graphics. The DS has offered me such a new experience in gaming: it's wonderful! I do have to give mad props to the Original GameBoy I received christmas morning 1989... I begged for that thing everyday and every time my Mom told me it was too expensive. The smile on my face and the enthusiasm I felt was out of this world when I unwrapped that box to find this
  14. That atari guy kinda sounded like a pedophile
  15. I think that the VCS and the arcade versions are very alike. Yes, there are some differences in terms of numbers of ships, but IMO, there are too many in the arcade version. VCS SI > arcade SI
  16. I can't seem to find a thread with friend codes for this game. Post yours here and let's try to set up a game. 4854 0527 9555 name: mavimao
  17. Pitfall is overrated. I don't get the point of running across 255 screen in under 20 minutes. Quadrun is overrated. Why people spend hundreds of dollars on this piece of crap is beyond me. Barnstorming: 'nuff said. That's all I can think of.
  18. I'm going to guess that you asked why people are excited about the Wii as opposed to the xbox 360? My opinion is that while the 360 offers great graphics, a nice online arcade experience with the achievement points and all, downloadable games; the Wii has a control scheme that has sparked a lot of excitement. Why is this so? I am guessing, based on my own opinion, that some people may be tired of the whole "Dual Shock" controller with space marine FPSes/racing games/gta, etc. Like someone mentioned above, a lot of people just feel that the Xbox 360 is just everything that's been done before but with more polygons and higher-res. textures. Now I have nothing against eye-candy, but paying 300-400 dollars on a system with no games that interest me personally, is not a good investment. If my opinion can be interpreted to what others are feeling about the wii versus 360/ps3, then there's your answer.
  19. If you waited more than an hour before deleting what you had asked, you might have gotten it. I would have tried to give you one, but alas, you gave up..
  20. Oh bless the maker! I've been waiting for one of these to pop up!
