  1. Is that using the one from Retro Hack Shack? I have the same one. Its awesome! Its funny that I put my cable going out in the same spot as you did.
  2. What other upgrades do you have going on in there? The install of the STRam looks very nice.
  3. I am curious how many people on this forum have installed either the 4MB upgrade from Exxos or the 4MB upgrade using the STRam upgrade from Aranglund? https://exxosforum.co.uk/atari/last/STM4MB/index.htm https://github.com/agranlund/STRam I purchased 1 STRam on Ebay but have not installed it yet, wondering if the one from Exxos is better? Which one did you choose, and why? Was the install successful? If so, any tips or suggestions? I saw that Adrian on ADB installed a switch to allow switching between 1MB and 4MB -- is this really needed? I am pretty confident de-soldering and soldering. Mostly looking for any gotchas that I might be missing. Thanks all for your help.
  4. @Brentarian you need to make sure you select the correct profile for Atari 800 Lumacode on the RGB2HDMI. Also make sure that you have the cable from the chip grounded well. It looks like a possible bad connection to me. If you use the regular composite out does the picture still look okay?
  5. My pleasure! We truly live in remarkable times.
  6. It is NEC D8048HC So does that mean it will only ever do single side. Anything I can do to get double? So even tho the Gotek is emulated, because the controller board is limited it gets messed up. I never considered that. Good thing I have another cable coming that will work around using the board.
  7. Quick Update. All cleaned up and looking spiffy. Cleaning the keyboard was not a great deal of fun, although I was very please that there were no springs. Waiting for my 4mb board and some updated TOS roms. Slowly coming together.
  8. Well it is nice to know that it works. I will try a different cable, and then the pins. @TGB1718 What is a GOEX mounter?
  9. Reading 360K is just fine, but anything else fails. I do have another cable coming that I will be using for a direct connect from Gotek to 520STm. Am I just SOL until that other cable arrives because the 354 interface card has limitations? Can I bypass it somehow? Ultimately I would like to mount it into the 354 case. I am looking to get TOS 1.4 eventually as well. Thanks. 520STm 512K RAM TOS 1.00
  10. Thanks @Beeblebrox for the concern on removing the rf. I should have clarified that I actually dont plan to remove the entire rf modulator, just enough so i can get to it and modify it for the connection. I am curious about the VBXE. Is it a good mod to add? Does it also output a clear video signal? I guess I need to do some more research on it, but it seems very nice and on the altirra emulator it produces the 80 column display which is awesome too. Thanks! For now it is just sticking out the back. The RF boxes on these machines are a pain to remove and I didn't want to deal with it today. Eventually I will redo that. I had the same problem with my 1200XL as well.

  12. Wanted to share another conversion to Lumacode from C0pperdragon using RGB2HDMI converter. https://www.tindie.com/products/c0pperdragon/gtiadigitizer/ https://www.tindie.com/products/c0pperdragon/rgbtohdmi-mono-lumacode/ This one was a little tougher as the GTIA was soldered onto the board, so it took me about 1 hour to remove the chip and put a socket in. After that it was easy. Here are some before and after pics, and also what the board looked like after I removed the chip. Needless to say I held my breath when I turned the computer on after putting everything back together. Before After My de-soldering job
  13. I guess my question still stands though. Is there another site with a more complete list of schematics? I would really like to find the one for mine for future reference.
  14. I figured it out. I did use the M schematic as a reference and found that the BLANK was on CR1-3. Here is the end result -- not bad I think
  15. I found this site here, but my board is not found here https://docs.dev-docs.org Is there another site with all schematics or is there another one that is close to the one I have? Trying to do a mod with the shifter following this video which is doing it on a 1040. I am looking for the vsync, hsync, blank and audio out. I think I am close with the REV M board, but I am not 100% sure. I suppose there is no real harm unless I accidently hooked up a 12v or 5v to it. Thanks for the help.
