  1. I checked on the tape drive I had and it is NOT a 4mm DAT drive. It is an HP TRAVAN Colorado T4000s. I do have some tapes from a 4mmDAT that I used to work with at my first job out of college.
  2. Here is the source for a program on linux: https://github.com/kkaempf/vmsbackup
  3. These look like 4mm dat tapes. I have a 4mm Dat scsi device that should be able to read them.
  4. @mytek As a quick test I am going to lift the pin 10 on the emmu and see if it goes to rambo with 576 and works. Then I will get back to the Pic16 Rambo line and see what is going on.
  5. @mytek I only had 5 mins today to look. i did confirm that pin 10 on the emmu was stuck high at 5v when in rambo and comply model. No changes when toggling. I will continue to dig, perhaps that pin is bad on the PIC chip.
  6. @mytek I will get the meter out and start digging in. Wil be a few days before I get back. Thanks again
  7. @mytek I was going to start to check on the RAM SELECT after looking at the schematics. A few notes: I did reflash the PIC on the board and that worked without any issues using the JOY2PIC. Everything else on the PIC works, all of the on/off's including vgate I found no bridges on any of the main IC's on the bottom of the board, but will continue to check I will be away for a few days so I will report back after I get time with it.
  8. When running SimTest (1 base memory test only) in either RAMBO or COMPY mode I get the following. When running 2 Extended memory, no errors are reported when in RAMBO or COMPY mode Does this shed any lights on where I should focus?
  9. Control-ALT-X will toggle the RAM mode, but it continues to show only 320K. Any suggestions where start looking?
  10. Swapped out the CPU, GITA, ANTIC, STATIC RAM, MMU an EMMU no change. In RAMBO mode it will not report 512K + 64k. Any areas to focus on? in COMPLY and RAMBO mode I see 320K.
  11. I just noticed some NUC odd behavior.. On my second build: When I switch to RAMBO mem to get 576K, it reports it is in RAMBO mode when I hit ALT-F2, but when running SimTest, it is only reporting 64 + 256 K. Repeating on my first NUC build Simtest is reporting 512 when in RAMBO mode. Any thoughts on what is going on or where to start checking?
  12. I also have the P2222H and can confirm mine does not support 15.1kHz
  13. Thanks for confirming. We now have another 27" monitor that does 15.1KHz
  14. These might be an option for new projects. They are push pull too and match the layout in the simple drive boards. https://www.digikey.com/en/products/detail/amphenol-cs-commercial-products/GSD090012SEU/13683164?_gl=1*1l9nyvt*_up*MQ..&gclid=CjwKCAjw9p24BhB_EiwA8ID5Brco5MQ75z2spcXS-ArwD38BCWZ9HdHGdoHCJKr3Ro-DR9ymYfloWBoC7RYQAvD_BwE
