Odd Issue with 130XE with Fujinet plugged in
Jfcatari posted a topic in #FujiNet SIO Network Adapter
I have two 130XE's both using the same power supply. When I plug the fujinet (no external power plugged in) into the one the config screen is more on the GREEN side than BLUE. The other 130XE with the exact same setup is BLUE. On the one that is on the GREEN side, it turns more BLUE when I add the external power supply to the Fujinet. Any thoughts one where to focus on the 'GREEN' one? -
New 22" monitor that works with the ST
Jfcatari replied to Shift838's topic in Atari ST/TT/Falcon Computers
I just got a Dell P2222H monitor and I am very sad to say: It does NOT support ST Low/Med resolution, only High! like the Dell 27" https://www.microcenter.com/product/638580/dell-se2722h-27-full-hd-(1920-x-1080)-75hz-led-monitor supports -
Spectre Mac Partition Migration

I needed nothing else to get it to work. I have a feeling the ROM was pushed into the .PRG. The 2.6.5 patched spectre had the ROM internal. -

Spectre Mac Partition Migration
Jfcatari replied to Goochman's topic in Atari ST/TT/Falcon Computers
Also the setup above with Spectre 3.0 also works perfectly on the Atari ST core running on the MiSTer. Unfortunately, the setup crashes on Hatari 2.4.1 when running under linux. The MAC is doing some of it's funny page zero magic and it crashes the Hatari emulator. -
Wow.. takes me like 2 hours to hand build one of the devkit versions!

Spectre Mac Partition Migration
Jfcatari replied to Goochman's topic in Atari ST/TT/Falcon Computers
Thanks for all of the help. Spectre 3.0 was the answer! I got the 100MB scsi with system 6.0.8 image running on my STE. It works with the ICD and the HDDriver HD drivers. It also works with the UltraSatan (dd the image out to the SD card raw device /dev/sdX) and the acsi2stm devices (copy the image to acsi2stm/hd0.img on a exfat formatted SD card) -

I only have 2.6.5 and it does not work. I am looking for a Spectre 3.0 patched that does NOT require the ROMS. -

Spectre Mac Partition Migration
Jfcatari replied to Goochman's topic in Atari ST/TT/Falcon Computers
I did try that using dd which I normally do with all of my images I move to the Ultra Satan. I think Spectre 2.6.5 does not support that image type. Do you happen to have the version of Spectre 3.0 that does not require the ROMS on a cart? I have 2.6.5 patched like this, but have been looking for 3.0. -
Spectre Mac Partition Migration
Jfcatari replied to Goochman's topic in Atari ST/TT/Falcon Computers
How did you get Spectre to use that 608 image when using an Ultrasatan or acsi2stm device on a real ST? I tried everything I know, I could not get the Spectre 2.6.5 software to see or boot from your image. -

I am looking fort the same. -
6.0.8 will work, but I have not figured out a way to get this running on the ST. I have the 6.0.8 Apple disk images, but I need them converted to Spectre format which is what the Spectre GCR can do on real ST hardware. I might be able to come up with something using the MAC emulators like minivmac, SheeShaver, and/or Ballisk. Here are the docs for Spectre online: https://www.yumpu.com/en/document/read/11834497/spectre-gcr-manual-manuals-atari-documentation-archive

I am a little confused. The hd0 bootable image I added above in an .img file. I have seen someone saying that a .dsk will work with Spectre, but it will NOT work when using the ICD HD software. You need to use the modern PP or HDDriver. http://obsolescenceguaranteed.blogspot.com/2013/04/atari-st-ultrasatan-spectre-mac.html Here are my 2 setups on my STE Ultrasatan: SD1: bootable ICD image DDed to this 1st SD card SD2: bootable MAC image DDed to the 2nd SD card (hd0-250mb-mac-6.0.4-bootable.img) acsi2stm device (using my board): SD1: bootable ICD image copied to SD 1 to acsi2stm/hd0.img SD2: bootable MAC image copied to SD 2 to acsi2stm/hd0.img (hd0-250mb-mac-6.0.4-bootable.img) Using Spectre 2.6.5 from above, run it. Make sure there are no ACC's loaded and you have at least 2MB RAM Memory: Cache: Harddisk (devices): Since the MAC boot image is on the second SD card in each case Spectre will see if once you select the correct SCSI ID. Harddisk: Select Boot and Automount, See the image name Finally, hit return and this will happen and the screen fill show the mac boot. These screen shots were taking using hatari, but hatari will crash when the mac on the emulator goes to boot, but an ST/STe or Mister will not

Just as an FYI... A Spectre formatted Floppy on the ST which is used on the ST to hold the contents of a MAC disk can be read and converted to a .ST image file using a greaseweasle device https://github.com/keirf/greaseweazle

Any luck?

The SD4 ST, I think works the same way as the acsi2stm devices, so I don't think DD is the right way. You might just need to copy the .img to the SD card, but I am not exactly sure how that device works with .img files.
