  1. 9 cents a month? Would that be one of the first game subscription services? Ahead of its time!
  2. A mighty fine job you did there! Enjoy playing it. The glass breaking sound effect gave me a giggle when the enemies hit the glass domes. The music almost has a MT-32 vibe to it. Thanks for making this!
  3. Another Utopia remake: https://scylez.itch.io/utopia A couple of Atlantis remakes: 1.) https://savedby078.itch.io/the-last-sentinel 2.) https://tangentg.itch.io/last-days-of-atlantis-u2
  4. @else I am very late to the party, but holy downhill Batman, Skiing '83 is absolutely incredible work! As a kid I always dreamt of playing that game completely unaware that single screenshot was just a mockup at the time. Your design decisions are brilliant. The movement does not feel mechanical or stiff, but quite natural and the slo-mo action on hard turns is the best decision you could have made for this game. I've been playing freds72's 'Snow!' for the Pico-8 virtual console over the last few years as it looks and feels like what a modern interpretation of the ColecoVision skiing game would be like imo. Then I did a search to see if anyone ever took a stab at it on the real hardware. What a nice surprise! Do you have any plans to expand upon it? Regardless, fully appreciate your hard work on this!
  5. Great little game you have here @Nicam_Shilova My wife's two favorite arcade games are Galaga and Pengo. She'll love this.
  6. Ha! That's a good one! Should have asked her if she had anything Commodore as it kind of rhymes with a dollar four. wink wink
  7. Long gone are the days of the late 1990s to early 2000s when you could pick most of this stuff up for just a few dollars if anything at all. It's insane. I am very glad emulation has become near perfect so I can still enjoy the games and apps I loved as a kid. My best deal on a C64 was in Southwest Florida in the early 00s at a Salvation Army (that location closed years ago). It was a mint-in-box C64 complete with a Commodore printer. I paid a whole $3.00. The lady looked at me because I had this shocked look on my face when she told me how much. I certainly didn't complain. Years later I found it a good home, but man what a deal!
  8. I would definitely post your pics over at Vogons.org & VCFED.org. Very nice collection!
  9. Awesome! I never understood why one would need a Lunar/Moon Patrol and then... the movie AD ASTRA lunar fight scene answered that for me. Best part of that movie imo.
  10. Interesting. My wife's iPad Pro auto syncs with every CRT I've thrown at it. I suppose the cameras are different? Although, I've only tried a few CRT models so far.
  11. Exactly my thoughts as well. This and Limbo look amazing. For the unaware you can download the Limbo demo here: https://www.protovision.games/games/limbo.php?language=en
  12. It's finally here. Looks amazing. https://csdb.dk/release/index.php?id=226060 Will run even better on a C128.
  13. Good to know. During my search I ran into an enjoyable Atari ST version. Cheers.
  14. I'm a little slow in my middle aged brain. I have found all the roms mentioned above (Apple Snaffle really is a lot of fun & maddening at the same time), but Monster eludes me. I've searched multiple archives and nothing. Any clues would be great. On another note, I had completely forgotten about Space Panic (that brain again, work damnit!). Not a lot of arcades had that one, where I lived, back in the day. It's one of the few games I preferred on the ColecoVision over the arcade original.
  15. Is GroovyBee still around? I met him at PRGE 2016 at his booth where he was showing Apple Snaffle and then lost track of his progress over the years.
  16. That whole area between Sarasota and Fort Myers is still old Florida and not overdeveloped yet (although it's getting there). Before Hurricane Charley hit years ago there used to be some amazing thrift stores/garage sales and I would pick up mint-in-box C64 systems with all peripherals for less than $10. I also found a mint TurboGrafx-16 with all peripherals and a bunch of games for less than $10 as well. I haven't been in that area for many years, but it looks like there are still treasures to be found. Congrats on your find.
  17. Looks like I'm covered. A BIG thanks to "you know who you are"!
  18. I've done that drive numerous times. It's the journey man. THE JOURNEY! (Disclaimer: and a whole crapload of gas money)
  19. Wow! That Time Pilot title screen is a real eye catcher. Great work.
