End's Reach (Cuirass Entertainment) - (in VCS Store)

Yeah man, it is an awesome game for the VCS. The further you go the cooler it gets too. -
Yes dumb seems to be fairly normal for Atari though from what I hear they have finally cancelled their idiotic idea of creating a 2nd craptocurrency token. If by "console" you mean the Atari VCS 800 mini pc, then no it is not in production since there is zero reason to produce more. They likely have over 10k units still remaining in inventory to sell. I am expecting another permanent price drop soon.

Ok so if it was the rom, I would guess it's been fixed and will be fine going forward. It is really dumb they sent a faulty product to Hancock for review.
-
Ok then, assuming the dev is correct that it's not an issue with the rom, that sounds like you are narrowing it down to some issue with the way the cart was made that they sent to Hancock, but I would expect they get it sorted in the production for the silver label run.

End's Reach (Cuirass Entertainment) - (in VCS Store)

I got stuck in that same cave and I reported it to the developer. He is working on a patch so you may have to hang tight until the update comes through. I think he is going to put a portal in the other side that brings you out of the cave so you can find the 2nd key. I think there will be another set of boots for the lava platforms. -
The dev said it does not have the screen transition glitch in emulation or on cart when he has played it but he has not played it yet on the Atari made cartridge. That video with the screen transition glitch was played on a 7800 so either the glitching happened due to the AV mod or the cartridge was not fully compatible with that particular 7800 console or there was some issue with the cartridge production or the video capture.

BPM Boy is still exclusive on VCS, for now anyway. -

2600_run_jump_glitch.mp4 The game looks glitchy in the screen transitions and has some flicker issues.

What is your Mt. Rushmore of Atari VCS games?

Updating this post to add End's Reach as my 4th game on this list. I've played it around 6 hours and it is excellent. It belongs on this list since it is currently exclusive to the Atari VCS and a very awesome game. -
Again, it is a pointless conversation and me attempting to explain it would be a waste of time. Can't go back 5 years in time to change the past. The Switch is a crap platform and the current Nintendo company sucks. Microsoft is garbage too.

End's Reach (Cuirass Entertainment) - (in VCS Store)
E. King replied to Djmicklovin's topic in Atari VCS
Yeah! End's Reach tomorrow. VCS timed exclusive! I do not buy every game on VCS but End's Reach for $15 is a Day 1 purchase for me. -
The entire VCS platform could have been a very different thing from the start but no sense going down that conversation path since the past can not be changed. Obviously if things were done differently in the initial technical design of the VCS then things could have been very different.

What is your Mt. Rushmore of Atari VCS games?
E. King replied to bluenomadgaming's topic in Atari VCS
I would not want to play any Tempest game without a spin/paddle/twist control so I would not want to play it on Switch. For those who like Tempest with a D-Pad or Analog controller then they can basically play it on any platform. -

The biggest issue is the Twist control is inverted without an option to reverse it. When you twist clockwise the claw moves counterclockwise so it is completely backwards. I think there are also some inverted controls for dual analog controller in the bonus stages. T4K also did not get leaderboards on the VCS. Also, the button mapping in the VCS version for the Classic Joystick was totally borked, especially in the menus and there is no control mapping options. T4K should also have a built in sensitivity setting which it does not. A lot of people complain about the drift also. There were other issues but that is what I can remember today as I gave up on this game as soon as I realized the twist was backwards so I wasted $20 on a game I refuse to play. The Classic Joystick should have been designed with more action buttons so it does limit itself in some games. -
It is cool that Atari is committing to Lunar Lander Beyond on the VCS along with Mr. Run & Jump, Quantum Recharged, Days of Doom, Haunted House and at least a few others I can not mention yet. It looks like Lunar Lander Beyond is only the first installment of the upcoming Beyond Series planned for the VCS.

Atari treats the VCS more like a burden/company liability than the company asset that it could have been if properly handled from the beginning. They repeatedly ignore the VCS and tend to act like they do not even have a game platform. It is very clear that the current Atari does not really want to be in the hardware business nor are they even currently capable of it. They seem to only put Atari games on the VCS out of a thread of obligation which could end at any time. The good thing is that there are quite a few solid Independent Developer games still planned to come to the VCS and a fairly decent game library already exists on the VCS. I think Atari is content to just barely drag the VCS along until they do eventually pull the plug on their support.

What is your Mt. Rushmore of Atari VCS games?
E. King replied to bluenomadgaming's topic in Atari VCS
1. Thrustlander played with Classic Joystick Twist controls is the best game on the VCS and it is best played on the VCS for the exclusive controls. 2. BPM Boy (the only truly great exclusive game on the VCS but once this game goes multiplatform it would have to drop from this list) 3. Gravitar Recharged played with Classic Joystick twist controls is best played on the VCS for the exclusive controls. 4. TBD (for future release) There are other cool experiences such as Breakout Recharged with Classic Joystick Twist but that game is better played with a Spinner. I considered Asteroids Recharged with Classic Joystick Twist controls for the 4th spot but I have to admit that game may be best played with a Dual Analog controller on any platform for a couple different reasons. Black Widow Recharged with Dual Classic Joystick controls is fun but that game is better played with Dual Analog Controls on any platform. I think for it to qualify for this list it has to be something great only found on the VCS and/or best played on the VCS which is why I only have 3 selections. I could not come up with a 4th that is great enough and either only found on VCS or best when played on VCS so my 4th spot would need to be filled by a future release. Tempest 4000 would come to mind if it had been ported correctly. Also Atari 50 Collection is best played outside of Atari OS so that is disqualified. There is just not enough exclusive content on the VCS to really have a legitimate discussion for Mt. Rushmore games and Atari has failed to properly support the one thing that could have made their platform different which is the Classic Joystick Twist control function. Not enough games on the VCS correctly use this exclusive control feature which has now turned what could have been great into a barely used gimmick. -

You nailed it. The planned 2600/7800 cartridge addon is going to cost $230 and could take years to even be available.
