  5. Revival Studios is proud to present their latest game release for the Philips Videopac and Magnavox Odyssey2 consoles, called Cavity. In cavity, your goal is to navigate your way through the cave while collecting various power-ups for points. As the game gradually increases in both speed and difficulty, you can collect a yellow power-up which temporarily stops the speed from increasing. If you get the special item by picking up the blinking power-up at the right moment, you will be rewarded with a massive boost to your score as well as an instant speed-down The game uses advanced color-techniques, so that for the first time the gameplay experience will be identical on the bare-bones Odyssey2/G7000 console and the Videopac+/G7400 , while still providing rich multicolor graphics. Enjoy the trailer (watch with sound on): The game is available on cartridge in a run of 100 copies. For more information about the game , visit the game's website at: http://www.revival-studios.com/?page=136

  19. Hello all, After discovering this subforum, i've decided to contribute my own finished/released homebrew projects for Odyssey^2, Vectrex and later this year also ColecoVision, Sega SG-1000, MSX, Dreamcast and Atari 2600. Earlier this year, i released Colorclash for the Magnavox Odyssey2 and Videopac systems. Color clash is a fun action game people can just pickup and play. The player has to shoot the various colored gems that are falling down from the top of the screen. The gems are marked with symbols and the player has to match up the symbol on his ship with the symbol on the gems. The speed of the game will automatically increase during gameplay. Try to get combos of 4 similar gems in a row to decrease speed and gain extra points. Game features: - Playable on Videopac and Odyssey2 consoles - High resolution background on Videopac+ consoles - Digitized speech using The voice add-on - Internet highscore uploading - Online rewards system For more information about the game and ordering info, go to the Colorclash page at revival-studios.com
  20. Hello all, After discovering this subforum, i've decided to contribute my own finished/released homebrew projects for Odyssey^2, Vectrex and later this year also ColecoVision, Sega SG-1000, MSX, Dreamcast and Atari 2600. The game Mayhem for the Odyssey2 / Videopac system will be the first game to introduce the Wizzy character. Wizzy, son of the infamous Wizard of Odyssey, has just started to learn the craft of magic, but can he live up to the expectations of his father? Now Wizzy, the little wizard, is in trouble! He attempted a spell to produce fire, but the sticks he wished to see burn now fly all around him. Help Wizzy to collect the coins while avoiding the bewitched wood! Game features: - Playable on Videopac and Odyssey2 consoles - High resolution background on Videopac+ consoles - Digitized speech using The voice add-on - Multicolor sprite animation - Internet highscore uploading - Online rewards system - Hidden gameplay mode For more information about the game and order info, go to the Mayhem for Videopac game page at revival-studios.com
  21. Hello all, After discovering this subforum, i've decided to contribute my own finished/released homebrew projects for Odyssey^2, Vectrex and later this year also ColecoVision, Sega SG-1000, MSX, Dreamcast and Atari 2600. Lets start with AstroDodge for the Odyssey2 / Videopac... In this game you are controlling a nice multicolored spaceship, having to dodge the hordes of asteroids coming towards you. The game is playable on all Videopac, Videopac+ and Magnavox Odyssey2 systems, but also includes additional support for high resolution backgrounds on Videopac+ systems, and digitized speech through the voice module. More than that, players could also submit their highscores and achievements online through the use of a code, something has not been seen in any videopac/Odyssey2 game before. Check out the trailer here: Game features: - Playable on Videopac and Odyssey2 consoles - High resolution background on Videopac+ consoles - Digitized speech using The voice add-on - Animated multicolor sprites - Internet highscore uploading - Online rewards system - Hidden gameplay mode For more information about the game and order info, go to the Astrododge for Videopac game page at revival-studios.com

  24. i would also go with: - river raid II: The first one is my favourite 2600 game, i doubt the sequel would make anyone's top-20 - puzzle bobble / bust-a-move 3,4,etc. For me personally, puzzle bobble2 is perfect in every way, all additions/changes to this formula in later games never worked for me, even changing the music would kill it for me. Call me an old fart, but basically every first person shooter game after doom is a repetition of the same thing (with no doubt some great exceptions i'm not aware of). I literally haven't played a FPS since (and i've played a lot of console games since). i also agree with the mentioned POP: Warrior within and silpheed (ps2)
