i believe this system could of been a head turner but its poor management with release of the hardware that has problems like have to flash the system before you can use it. this was a huge turn off for new consumers i have the system i love it but you have to be techsavy to make this thing work. not for the faint heart

I want to see someone boot atariOS on steam deck or any other portable pc type handhelds.

When you boot up the usb there is 2 options one for installing the OS another for bios

I Figured it out was actually pretty easy. First I booted in to Batocera then went in to file manager. Go to /media/storage/user.var/bundles you will see 2 folders under /bundles one will be for guest account and one will be your actual account I ended up copying the whole /bundles foler. copy the whole directory and replace the whole folder on the new VCS drive.

I can boot into linux and browse the file system but I dont know where my saved games are stored. im guessing there has to be a way i can copy my save game progress over to the new VCS Is there anyone that can point me in the right direction?

Ok I got 2 vcs 800 does any one know how to sync saved games from one console to another?

Has anyone though of putting in a wireless charging coil to charge there controllers?

can you please share how you get this menu screen on linux? I can boot to atariOS (also on other hardware) and buy games I can also browse the game folder and launch games by simply double clicking on the game under ubuntu I'm still a bit of a noob when it comes to linux but I would love to learn more.

could be any portable handheld this would be sweet to have both emulators/steamos/atarios all on one handheld

i would love to see this and also if bluetooth works with the classic controler. this would be awesome! someone needs to try atari vcs on the steam deck!!!

i too got this running on a mid-2012 macbook pro with I7 2.9ghz and 16GB or ram.. runs kinda sluggish. but the latest production image sound works and bluetooth but no wifi. Lan works I also tried this on a HP X2 1013 G3 16.00 GB ram and Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-8350U CPU @ 1.70GHz runs way smoother but no wifi no bluetooth. i can play with my 8bitdo controller USB mode and plugged into lan. everything works, store purchaces and game play as if i were on a actual Atari VCS

Anyone try to swap there wifi card? assuming it will work under windows what about the atarios is there support?

I too am looking for a image but they have to create a image before they plugin and use the stick as the first time setup will attach the user account and profile. PLEASE SOMEONE UPLOAD A VIRGIN IMAGE!!!

yes i can create a bootable linux USB to do this but i want direct support from the home screen just like how plex is an app inside the VCS

Hi Guys I See Plex on the home screen avaliable for the VCS so why no KODI support. I do prefer Kodi over Plex. and kodi is supported on the nvidia shield and other streaming platforms can even put it on a Amazon fire stick.
