Also when think of classicgaming I think of the 2d shooters that were horizanal vertical scrolling, and the space invader Style shooers.I also think of the old style of 2d playform games, beat'em ups,and run'n gun games like contra. Too made that type gaming isn't made much anymore on today's game systems.

Sega hasn't pleased the fan's much. They didn't bring over the first 2 orginal Phantasy Star game remakes for Playstations, Didn't revise the original Phantasy Star series, scrapped on Enternal Champions the Saturn due to lack of popularity for it in Japan and screw the american Gamers by doing that. They Also changed the type of game Shining Force by turning it into an action Rpg.

I am not shocked. Gameinformer is doing what Gamestop tells them what to do by the Covers of the Mag, and the way they review, and what items for Christmas gifts as a way for Gamestop to make money. They are known to lie in their covers and reviews. Messiah should have a say in gameinformer for promoting products.

It is more then that. That forum has posters that indirectly worked with Messiah through another company for the Nex. I know by being by being a lurker over there.

OK, you got me. I made up all of that stuff about Messiah claiming that the NEX was not based on a NOAC, that it would have improved compatibility, and I also made up the fact that the NEX is not just another NES clone, which offers nothing substantially new or better over any other NES clone... no, the NEX is worth $30 more than a Neo Fami or a refurbished original NES. It turns out that Castlevania III and Gauntlet work perfectly, as do all of those wonderful Koei games, Camerica games, and NES reproductions. I was also lying about the A/V stuff. The NEX's video and colors are perfect... no they are better than the original NES's, and the audio is even better still! I was also making all that stuff up about the fact that an original NES can also be used with the same wireless controllers as the NEX. Of course that isn't true, I mean, if it was, then that means that somebody would have to sell a receiver unit, of sorts, which could be plugged into the NES's controller ports, so that the wireless controller could communicate with an original NES. The problem is that nobody makes such a receiver, and therefore the NEX is the only NES system capable of using wireless controllers. I also had several forum accounts on this forum and at DP, which I used to post as numerous different people, pretending to attack attack the NEX and making up all sorts of lies. I also started several web sites, under different aliases, which I also used to write negative reviews about the NEX. Hell, I even got a job at Lik-sang, so that I could trick the company into dropping the NEX from our inventory by claiming that it wasn't up to our standards of quality. By the way, that negative comment on Lik-sang's NEX reviews was also written by me. It was all part of my plan. Yes, Messiah was completely innocent of any wrong doing, and there are no problems with the NEX. I realize that I will go down in history as a big liar, and that the NEX will forever be recognized as an improved recreation of the original NES. In fact, most people will ditch their original NES systems in favor of this unofficial clone so that they can finally play all of their NES games, with improved audio and video and wireless controllers! BTW, did you know that I was the person who started all of those false rumors about the Xbox 360 crashing and being incompatible with many original Xbox games? Yes, I am tricky bastard indeed. I didn't put any megaman's down for me question the genre for Megaman and a few other games.

Nintendo has been using Mario out of his genre a lot of time since Punchout as a ref,Mario's timemachine, and it's just now that third parties going the same thing. This didn't start with gamecube with Mario outside of his true genre, it's only more noticeable now. He even was an umpire in a gameboy baseball game I believe.

What you have to understand that gameinformer before being purchased by the people owned gamestop, was their reviews were allowed to rate by their own opinion not by potental sales by movie names, by the hireup at store chains wanting high and low scores based on potental sales, what scores should be by what buyers want and not how good the game is. In those days gameinformer had 3 or more reviewers of one game except for on a glace part. That means what ever genre they like has to accounted for. That format was up to 2001 to prevent 10 from happening very much. If the Jaguar was gamestop stores, and gameinformer being under gamestop, the games would be looked at based on license of the game, and what they think what gamers expect for Jaguar reviews. That means doom would be a 10,Alien vs Prederator a 10 ten, and Wolfeinstein 3-d would of got at least 9.5. But at the same time, if Checkered Flad had a Major license with tons of extras would be given at least 6 or 7 despite how bad the game plays.

Gameinformer got their start around september of 91 in a funcoland store with Sonic being on the Cover. They became biomonthly until the November 1994. The also did a article on they're on the hopes of the Jaguar being sucessful. They also did a two page preview and writing on Alein Vs Predator,Doom,Ultra Uortix, Double Dragon 5,Kasumi ninja,Flashback,Redline Racing(checkered Flag), and Wolfenstein 3-D after visting atari. This was in the July,Auguest 1994 issue. They even mention what months they come out for most of them. Gameinformer typing hopefully and Should with many of the titles with Kasumi Ninja being available July 1994 along with, Double dragon 5 around November, Wolfenstein July 1994,Doom 1994, and Alien VS Predator July 1994. They did two envent covering Atari. the Winter Ces 1995 and the first Ever E3. Remember this was way before funco inc. was bought by the people who run gamestop with gameinformer being purchased too by them. Not the same Megazine since Gamestop tookover.

Most Games the Genesis controller works. I had problems with one of the Wonder boy games with it.

I just got bunch gameinformer magazines to add-on to my collection. I found some jaguar scores in those issues. Their rating school is on a 1-10. Cymbermorph-average 8.5-march/ april 1994 issue Tempest 2000 -9.00 made a gamereviewer said "so if you don't have a Jaguar, get one. It's very Cool!"-may/June 1994. More to come later.

I like the nes and sms, booth are good systems. I feel the nes a little better because of the total amount of games, meaning more good hames as a result. I like the games sms has that the nes doesn't have or do a better job with a few games along with straying true to the arcade.

Yes. For the Genesis. That game was listed in a winter ces issue of gameinformer for gamegear, and the super nes in 1994. The genesis version was supposed to come out some in 1994, I believe or early 1995 not 1996. The other versions were concelled.

How are Phantasy star, Wonder Boy in Monster Land, Wonderboy:Dragon's Trap, Zillion, Golvellius:Vallley of Doom,Fantasy Zone 1&2,Y's,Alex Kidd in miracle World,Psycho Fox,Power Strike,Gauntlet Are bad games? They are not on the Genesis. When is Phantasy Star considered a bad Game? The Genesis games that were on the sms have different levels in some cases like Sonic one. You talked are the sms having bad flicker, the nes flickers too. And example of the is Ultima:Exodus, Parts of megaman 3 and others I didn't mention do too. The Sms graphic's aren't graphics aren't choppy in their best games and beat the nes graphics when compare the same game head to head. As for as poorly designed peripherals the sms is a bad as the nes. It is not the worst system since the RCA Studio II. The Atari 7800 was for that time period not the sms. Sms does have poor advertising in the states, not in europe. The almost non-existent third party support for the sms was most caused by nintnedo's "third parties can't produce games for other system" policy. The terrible distribution and the NES had a much better library and proper franchises was was caused by nintendo's monoply with third parties. The distrubution partialy blames on Sega having Tonka doing the distrubution and deciding what games to release in the U.S., along with nintendo. The sms was not a halfed assed effert. The Atari 7800 was. Sega at that time was trying to reestablishing itself after the crash. Nintendo didn't help matters. The later systems for Sega were half ass such as the 32x,Sega CD, saturn to an extent, and the nomad.
