Just finished installing the solderless IPS version, and yes, its as easy as the product listing claimed it would be.
Thought I'd mucked up though, as I got a brief b/w checkerboard and then nothing.
Stupid me had the brightness turned down but because the checkerboard was bright, I never thought to check it.
I chose to de-solder L17, I hate the thought of snipped pins just sitting there lol
I might re-use the foam border from the original LCD as the frame tends to position the IPS screen at a very slight angle that I can't correct, and if you look closely a slim strip of silver from the screen edge is visible.
Might just be a bit of warping of the Lynx itself though, one can't expect something made of consumer grade plastic to remain 100% after 23 years.
Next step, a new screen for my GameGear...
