  1. A very quick DIY project on one of the great joysticks from Monster Joysticks.

    These guys sell a range of retro compatible joysticks, either as assembled joysticks or as parts for self assembly in plywood or plastic. You can order basic  components or with sanwa bits.

    They have 2 buttons, one of which can be mapped to “up” with a switch in the back.

    I bought the plywood version. The kits are fully reversible, so you don’t have to join the collective delusion that having the joystick in the left hand for right handed players is a good idea.

     

    Quick staining in teak, Atari sticker, varnish….and the 2600 has a new friend.

  2. Back in the world of Atari after a 40+ year break, great to be back!

    Is there a current Atari magazine out there? I’m lucky enough to have subscriptions to modern Zx Spectrum (Crash) and C64 (Zzap) and wondered if there was something similar for the Atari, other than what’s in Pixel Addict or Retrogamer, which to be fair, cover it a reasonable amount.
