  3. Been playing Dragon's Havok alot lately, for hours. I love this game very much, plus Harpy's Curse, and Dragon's Decent. The music is really good too!

I woke up yesterday morning, and was shocked to see Bentley Bear's Crystal Quest in that video's thumbnail (I've been subscribed to Pojr for many months now), and gave him my thanks as well for showcasing your brilliant game I first discover BBCQ back in 2015 myself, but didn't get to play it until just a couple of months ago.

  7. Because I am dumb, it took me a while to actually comprehend what you said here πŸ˜† now I get it. This problem sounds like it would probably be an issue on any platform of the era.

  9. This looks great on an actual 7800 (through RF no less).

The pokey issue is very minor, the music freezes momentarily (like a rapid loop of the current note being played) when you blow up, or quit the game after a game over, and will remain frozen until you start a new game. But otherwise the music works correctly during gameplay. I am using version 0.96 30323, but the problem persisted with the newest version as well.
  11. Double dragon is another game that straight up doesn't work. And 1942 has visual glitches on the menu screen. Plus some minor audio issues with hokey/pokey.

  16. Interesting. So bidirectional scrolling is always going to be tough to do. This is a GPU/CPU cycle limited task, rather than RAM limited?
  17. I thought the 7800 did bitmapped backgrounds? or maybe thats just sprites? Can you have parallax scrolling in 320C? Or any other 320 mode? Does extra cart RAM help any of this?

  19. Because I'm a dummy. Someone who is very familiar with how color works on these old machines, how does color work on the 7800? What does "25 colors per scanline" mean? How many does mean can be drawn on the entire screen at once? Also curious to know what palette swapping is.
