  1. I think I really lucked out. One of my local auction houses is apparently where my local Costco liquidates their returns. I won an auction for a GSP for $27 ($34 with tax/bidder fees - that's Canadian $). It was listed as open box in the auction. As far as I can tell, there is nothing wrong with it - the plastic cover was still on the main unit. All the cables were very neatly packed with plastic and wireties....possibly not factory perfect but very close. I'm not 100% sure but I suspect whomever returned it didn't even try putting batteries in the joysticks. Upgraded the firmware to 1.30 and it's happily loading everything I throw at it from the SD card....taking into account the various tips in this thread. Thanks for all the hard work and details!
  2. I’d love a cart as well
  3. Here is the edited front cartridge shell without the logo 'cutout'. I realized after I had edited via TinkerCAD that the SCAD file was included and I could have done it there. a8pico-front-no-logo.stl
  4. I wanted to print the case on my resin printer so I modified the case to delete the insert for the logo and then simply added a sticker with the logo on it. I can post the edited STL file if anyone wants it.
  5. Just received my batch of PCBs from JLCPCB and soldered it up...works great! Thanks @electrotrains
  6. I should mention that the Option key definitely works…it’s needed for Fujinet to boot disk images and works just fine.
  7. I've had this 800xl in my garage for well over a decade. It appears to work fine (I'm using a newly made USB power supply cable and composite out cable) with my carts, Fujinet, etc. But I can't get it into self test mode to see if anything has gone bad. Holding OPTION down at boot (Fujinet not connected) just seems to freeze things on the blue screen with a cursor. Any tips to get it to work or alternate testing apps I can load to do it via Fujinet? Or should I just not worry about it since everything else appears to be working just fine? It appears to be a Rev B (Peek 43234 returned 96) and is NTSC (I'm in Canada)
