  1. God damm that jersey is ugly as fuck 🤢 Would much rather buy an Atari Katana T-shirt from the official website than buying that thing 😎 https://atari.com/products/atari-katakana-small-logo-tee
  2. So Jersey have you tried Asteroids Recharged on the PS5 yet ? As someone who as played that game on almost every platform that it's available on (GOG, Steam, Xbox ) It's quite an improvement over the other versions I can guarantee you that.
  3. In the case of the Recharged games on PC it just can't recreate the experience of playing them on the PS5 (no other System can quite frankly ) , with or without Steam input it makes no difference , Steam recognizes the Dual Sense as the Dual Sense not an Xbox controller, it still doesn't have the same functionality as it does on the PS5.
  4. Managed to find some room behind the TV to put the PS5 in , forgot how massive these things are 😂
  5. So I ended up buying a PS5 Slim during Black Friday (as a Christmas gift to myself 😉 ) and I immediately I noticed how much better the recharged games play on it compared to any other device I have. I knew I wasn't imagining things when I noticed that playing the Recharged games on my Xbox and then on the Rog Ally just wasn't as satisfying as it was when I was playing them on my old fat PS5 that I sold last year. It's the little things that make the difference, feeling the incredible vibrations of the Dual Sense when you are moving the Spaceship in Asteroids , feeling the impact of every shot fired in Centipede, The special move in Black Widow is much more impactful as well. And before anyone asks no using the Dual Sense on PC will not give you the same feeling/quality that it does when using it on a PS5, I know because I've tested this myself and it just isn't the same experience.
  6. The " problem" thing was just a typo, when I noticed that it was already too late to edit. I think the main thing that separates Polymega and Evercade was ambition, Evercade went for a more reasonable strategy starting their business grabbing old 8/16 bit licensed games and making low cost low price devices to play them meanwhile Polymega wanted to be the ultimate retro gaming console with compatibility with every retro gaming system up to the Saturn/N64 from the very beginning, such great ambition naturally lead to more problems down the line.
  7. Guess Polymega isn't the only problem retro gaming brand with shipping date issues 😂 ( for real though all these companies would benefit greatly if they joined the Atari family, that's probably what's going to happen in the end anyway).
  8. I still remember seeing Mario kart 8 for the very first time during a Fnac exhibition for the Wii U back in the day , what a gorgeous and incredible game that was , my jaw literally hit the floor, also the Wii U pro controller was fire, it easily surpassed the quality of my Dual Shock 3 and my 360 Controller, I could tell simply from holding it for an hour. In the end I ended up buying a PS4 over the Wii U (very big mistake) and only played Mario kart 8 on my Switch ( over a 100 hours on the Switch, absolutely loved that game ). There are many things the Wii U should rightfully be criticized for but crappy hardware isn't one of them not by a long shot, the console felt so premium in comparison to the PS4 with it's terrible Jet engine fan and the Xbox One's noisy cricket fan.
  9. This is not true in the slightest, Atari has many more mascots than just those two, they just don't market them to the public as they should : Charlie Chuck ( Food Fight ) Emi Kimura ( Yars ) Major Havoc Evil Otto The Black Widow The Centipede Shodan ( System Shock )
  10. It puzzles me why this thing even exists, why did Atari think it was a good idea to launch two different systems roughly at the same time to compete with the NES ? In hindsight the Xegs feels like something that only caused market confusion and didn't really help Atari's situation at all, the commercial where they compare the XE's game library to the NES ( Reminder that it was all repackaged late 70s/ early 80s Atari 8bit games ) was especially embarrassing, really who in their right mind would prefer to play Flight Simulator 2 and Bug Hunt over Super Mario Bros and Duck Hunt in 1987 ? In the words of James Rolfe "What were they thinking ? "
  11. We ( gamers ) usually make a distinction between the Home Console and Handheld markets , the normal Switch can do both things but the Switch Lite for example can only do one, so claiming that every Switch is a console is disingenuous.
  12. I mean the PS2 is not going to be the best selling console for much longer ( if the Switch counts as a console which is still up to debate ) regardless this is not a good faith argument, you don't sell 160 million consoles because of marketing alone, there was a lot more to the PS2s success than just that (and no I'm not talking about the massively overstated DVD player). The PS2 was console gaming at it's peak, growing up in the early 2000s ( as a gamer ) was a magical time thanks in large part to the greatness of the PS2 ( and all the other 6th generation consoles of course, Dreamcast/PS2/GameCube/Xbox, that was peak gaming right there ).
  13. The evidence for there being extreme corruption in the Game Awards jury is very obvious especially in slower gaming years, Dragon Age Inquisition winning in 2014, God of War in 2018, and Last Of US part 2 in 2020 are blatant examples of this corruption.
  14. I agree with Wade that Night Dive is a great company however one thing they severely lack is a good QA department , I had to refund the System Shock Remake on Steam because the inventory menue is completely unusable if you are playing with a Gamepad/Controller instead of a Keyboard and Mouse, the arrow gets stuck in the upper left corner of the menu and never goes down no matter what you do.
  15. The most puzzling thing about the Game Awards is that every single year everyone complains about how much the show sucks and yet somehow the viewership numbers keep going up and up, from 103 million in 2022 to 118 million in 2023 ( and this year that number it probably going to go up even more ). It wouldn't be much of a surprise to learn that Geoff Keighley and his goons are manipulating/inflating the numbers using some fake Metric ( kind of like what Xbox does with their "engagement" numbers instead of posting real sales data ) however no one has caught them in the act yet so who knows maybe the viewership growth is somewhat organic.
