Yeah I like it. It's a way way better game than any Apollo games, although they have a certain charm too. Oh no! Tunnel Runner is one of my favourites on the system. Keep scrubbing! Give it CPR! Attach electrodes!

What Atari 2600/7800 game have you been playing the most today?

We need more Atari live streamers! 😁 -
My most wanted classic cart re-release/enhanced re-release arrived today, a loose copy of NTSC Dark Chambers! I've been dying to play it on official hardware and couldn't wait to see if it will happen. @Ben from Plaion, don't worry, I know I've mentioned it a few times so I will definitely buy it new CIB if it does happen! Promise! 😁 What a fun game, an enhanced version could be amazing, but what we have here is very good too. I think this is one I will get quite some play time on over Christmas. Still keeping my fingers crossed here for a 2025 re-release. 😁 (The 2600 version is fun too).

Licensing issue. It could include a cart slot though. -

Yeah I bet it was a very nostalgic and fun experience to see Atari on retail shelves. 😊 I must check a Game store, I don't usually go in their shops, but maybe they will have some Atari, and Evercade. I feel that with my Atari+ consoles and an Evercade I have gaming pretty much sorted. My modern 'Big Three' consoles are quite dusty.

Gaming since the early 80's (probably late 70's but I don't recall exactly 🤣) and I have never, ouside of an arcade, used a trackball. Hang on, does turning an old style mouse upside down and moving the ball around count? If so, done it mate. -
Get your proverbial hot cakes whilst they are hot, or they will go cold and erm, run out of stock, or something. (Buy all the Atari goodness.😁)

I think that if the joypad was to evolve it should have more sweeping changes, as at that point it does not need to be true to the original any more. For me with a 'CX79+', I would move the D-pad downwards to the centre, the buttons to the right and centred, closer together and make them raised for easier two button press functions. Have the cable come out of the shell in the centre too. So OK, yeah, more like a NES pad, but still with the style, colours and materials of the CX78+. I do like the CX78, but the changes I have mentioned here undoubtedly make it more ergonomic so if changes are to be made we might as well make a much improved controller. EDIT: At that point the silly stick could be ditched too. 🤣... or kept for you crazy people -
I am enjoying this one too. It's a really fun and polished port by Bob, quite infuriating to the just the right level to still be enjoyable and to drive you to try again, and again.
