  1. Like Zylon, I quit the collecting end years ago, sold a bunch that I really only got because I was collecting, bit I still haven't gotten the nerve to prune further. Still keep every Activsion/Imagic cart  ever had, for example. I always play the 2600 in the summer, on original hardware & with a CRT, much less so during the rest of the year.

    I'll mostly play:

    Missile Command

    Adventure

    Enduro

    Circus Atari

    Kaboom

Warlords if any of the kids are around

Occasionally I 'll get on a streak and play a bunch if carts for like 5-10 minutes a pop and make a mess.Once I put everything away neatly, I don't take it out for a long stretch. Never did get that dedicated setup 100%. So I will play Adventure and Track & Field some on Stella once in a blue.

  2. I'm looking for an easy arcade style racing game without all the Gran Turismo tuning and realism. Something that I can pick up and play, then walk away for weeks on end. Single player mostly, I won't be playing online, but I would like to be able to play local split screen occasionally. I was shopping Blur and Split Second, less so Mod Nation Racers (I have a WiiU  for Mario Kart if I want that style.) I'm old school and not that into the actual "real" cars, but if they are part of the game I'm not against it. Just want arcade style fun, if that exists on the PS3.

  3. Thanks! I think I'll look into VICE. Is there anyone who can send me to a safe place to find the Bruce Lee file? I've been away from the emulation scene for years, I remember one is not to ask for ROMS on most site where the emulator comes from. I thought I had the .D64 somewhere, but I couldn't find it. For what it's worth, I have an original of the game buried along with my beloved Super Sunday box -

  4. I don't have the skill after reading the wiki, I was wondering if anyone who has done this can help, or if it's possible - I'd like to buy a C64 mammoth DTV (ebay or something) and have someone put Bruce Lee on there for me. That's the only game (Summer Games too, but I think that's already on there) that I must have... I sold all by C64 stuff years ago, and can't find a good emulator that will work with a Stelladaptor on my old imac G4. Plus, a plug and play is what I'm after anyway. I'll pay for the service if anyone can help.

I looked at adding some emulator to my PS3, but now I'm afraid to look for the ROM and whatnot, brick my ps3, get malware, etc. Just want to play Bruce Lee with my kid on a TV around the house.

  5. Is there a currently full working emulator for the PS3? I tried one that was about 2 years old through a USB stick, but no luck. I have a Wii, but it seemed like the homebrew channel thing involved could brick the wii, and I don't want to mess with that.

Anyway, without running Linux (way over my head) is there an easy NES emulator for the PS3? All I want to play is Tecmo Super Bowl & Tetris...

  6. Great! I'll keep checking back. I was waiting for my tax refund to hit, and get the adaptor as my "celebration."

I will setup a mailing list for everyone wanting one, they are only gone temporarily. I need to update the store with a note to this effect, but have been too busy the last few weeks.

  7. Please let me know by PM if you have 1 or 2 of these working that you would part with. I'll pay by Paypal. I have a little stuff for trades:

A 256 in one Sean Kelly dipswitch 2600 multicart - can't remember which games are on it though, haven't played it in years

Shanghai: Dragon's Eye for the Sega Genesis, complete

Shrinkwrapped Punch-out! for the NES (not the Tyson version)

    Mattel Electronics Mind Boggler Handheld

    Mattel Electronics Hockey Handheld

Bruce Springsteen Live 1975-85 cassette box set, cassettes still shrinkwrapped, box open with booklet

Cheap Trick Found All the Parts EP, shrinkwrapped

    Thanks!

  8. Well if it's a dying breed, would you:

1 - Keep a 60 gb original PS3 (which I have, but was going to sell to get a quieter-fan 40gig) and hang onto the PS2 comps.

2 - Get the 40 gb PS3 and just play the older PS1 compilations.

3 - Forget it and get an old PS2.

I like the wireless controllers on my PS3 - it's the first time I've been able to keep the console in the living room full-time... Nice and clean looking, and out of reach of my 1 year old as well. So I've been liking that aspect of the PS3. It can be noisy when watching a movie on it, so I was toying with getting one of the newer (and supposedly more quiet) 40 giggers.

I have about 8 or so PS1 games that would play on either, and 10 or so PS2 games that I would have to give up if I went to the 40. I've been trying to keep less stuff around - I've sold all my vectrexes, Inty's, Colecovisions, PS1 & 2, etc. etc.... (kept the 2600's and the NES though). having a kid takes some storage space!

Anyway, it's a shame that the downloads are encroaching on the cool compilations. They're the only PS2 games that I'd miss really.

  9. Most people here probably have these, but anyway -

I'm selling most of my PS1 classic game compilations. I played some of them once or twice. Played the 1st Atari & Midway, and two of the Namcos a good amount. The rest I bought out of a collecting habit, since cured...

    Thanks!

Just a lil' bump. Just one - last day. Thanks!

  10. I have a few odds and ends of untested stuff to trade. I'm pretty Ebayed out. Let me know -

Commodore X1541 cable - goes from a C64 1541 drive DIN to a 25-pin serial cable PC at the other end. Comes with a floppy disk with some files and some Star Commander v 0.80 software. Never used it, I even forget why I bought it, I have a Mac!

Atari power supply - CO17945 I think it goes to an Atari 800 disk drive, but again, who knows?

Microvision Phaser Strike and Bowling manuals

Star Wars the Arcade game for Colecovision - cart only

Frogger for Intellivision - cart only

BetterWorking Turbo Load and Savefor the C64/128 - cart only

Genesis Sports Talk baseball cart 670-2140

A Pac-man Citation of Accuracy and Skill certificate - not written on.

    Oddball Wants:

Send me a $15 iTunes card, and I'll ship the whole thing.

If you have a remastered ELO greatest hits CD, remastered Ozzy Osbourne or remastered Who CD's, that would be a cool trade... 2 CD's for the lot. Anything but more games!
