  1. I was going through my controllers, to further prune down my collection. I came across a joystick "coupler" of sorts. It is about 4 inches long, with two male 9 pin atari type connectors that feed to a single female connector on the other end. It may have been to a "CBS something," but I'm not sure...

    Any ideas?

  2. Hey everyone - no carts from the collection sell-off this week, but here's a bunch of great looking Electronic Games magazines from 1983. I've been reading through these, It's fun reading reviews and stuff from back in the day. They don't really make game mags this great anymore. Like I said, reading these can put you into a collecting frenzy when you see ads for stuff you don't remember!

    Anyway, here they are:

    January 1983:

  3. I used to be wacky about having two of everything, as if there would be a time that one would stop working, I'd be "covered." I would get at least 2 of every system, etc. What made me think I'd get to play all the stuff???

    Actually 3

Impressive to say the least. 1 Craxy Climber is nothing big, but 3, thats cool.

  4. Actually 3, one from a flea market, one from an auction, and the other I traded some good Colecovision stuff for. Man, the stuff I've had through the years has been great. I could start a "cringe" thread for stuff I've sold off. Would be hard to match that dude's Quadrun, but the unused Vectrex, NOS NES top-loader... I'm sure other guys who are in "scale down" mode could share some good stories!

My last one... Remember when this was really really hard to find?

Just curious, how many did you have?

  5. Enough cart sales for a while - I'm staring to dig into my classic game magazines. These old Electronic Games and "How to win at Video Games" magazines are great reading if you never saw them before. It's fun to see the ads for rare stuff, and reviews of games when they were current... Anyway, they're in great shape, and I'm doing a few auctions a week:

Thanks. I ship to Canada for forumites. Just let me know, and I'll get the cost.

  6. Yeah, I forget about the snipers and label stuff. I've been out of the loop for a while. Once I get one of my 2600 a/v modded, hopefully soon, I may end up falling right back into it...

Don't worry, those auctions will get bid on again. You probably have alot of people watching those auctions, waiting until the end.

  7. Here is my list - no regrets -

    1. Sloar Fox

    6. Dodge 'em

    16. Bowling

    and I'm a happy man :D

Dodge 'em - how could I forget? One of the ones I play often, and one I owned originally back in '79. And another Bowling fan! While I've owned Sloar Fox 5 times over, I never played it. Sounds like I missed a good one. Time to find the emulator file... is there Stella for OS X?

  8. I've often tried to get my gigantic classic game collections down over the years. I've had so many things, there's no way I'd ever be able to keep it all. So, I tried to prune down each system to an absolute 25 games. When it came to systems other than the 2600, it wasn't too hard. I even was able to sell the whole systems that I pruned. After several years of selling off 2600 stuff, I'm still at like 100 or so. Sorry if this has been done, but who can make a 25 game, no regrets 2600 list. No multicarts, but you can keep stella somewhere on your computer to make it less painful. Maybe after I read a few examples, I'll get that collection down some more! My "today" list, not good enough to actually pull it off:

    1 - Missile Command

    2 - Adventure

    3 - Bowling

    4 - Space Invaders

    5 - Warlords

    6 - Berzerk

    7 - Circus Atari

    8 - Starmaster

    9 - Turmoil

    10 - Enduro

    11 - Pitfall

    12 - Casino

    13 - Enduro

    14 - Pressure Cooker

    15 - Tapper

    16 - Carnival

    17 - Video Pinball

    18 - Skiing

    19 - Breakout

    20 - Football

    21 - Defender

    22 - Star Voyager

    23 - Superman

    24 - Track and Field

    25 - Yar's Revenge

Crap - I forgot H.E.R.O.! See, it can't be done... Someone try though -

  9. I have been editing the auctions to add international bidders, by popular demand... lots of running around to the UPS/Post office for me - I usually underestimate shipping, so I'll get exact amounts for these lots after they end.

Forum vets can also have the benefit of PayPal use. I'm restricting the commoners (non-forum international) to money order only... But it's nice to see this stuff go to hardcore guys on AtariAge, so bring it on!

    Thanks

Those are some real nice lots squiredogs. Will you allow forum vets to bid on these as well if they are not from the US? Let us know.
