  1. I'm a bit disappointed in Joust. It's because they didn't bother coding the egg wave behavior properly. All of the eggs show up in the same place every time instead of intentionally staying away from wherever you are to start the wave. Yes, I'm whining.
  2. I've heard both the 360 version of GH II and the sound in the PS2 version. The sound in the 360 version was a 1000 times better. The song downloads for GH-II total about $25 total and I assume to get all of the songs for the PS-2 you'd still have to buy both discs. The guitar is also motion sensitive for the 360. Another Pro for the PS2 is it has Guitar Hero Rock the 80s or whatever it's called and the 360 never will.
  3. I'm just trying to figure out how it would get more exposure. Take it to mount everest in the cold and see if it'll die of exposure? It's not like the Atari 2600 community is all that large. I can't imagine there are any collectors who don't at least read this place on occassion. It's his cartridge to do what he wants with though. I'd like to see the rom out of curiosity but I'd only mess with it on my CC2 for 5 minutes and be done with it. As the original author says it's just an old crappy 2600 game.
  4. Yeah I've played it on my CC2. It's a very difficult game.
  5. I played the trial version tonight for about 3 minutes. I hated it. It had way too much going on onscreen that had nothing to do with the actual game.
  6. Anyone that says today's kids are spoiled just comes off as a bitter old man. The rumor I heard is that the new PS3s would do software emulation instead of hardware emulation to cut costs.
  7. Making menus is rather easy using the cc2menu.exe file Chad included....unless of course you own a Mac. Menu Name = whatever you want to show up in the menu when you start your 7800 Rom File Name = The 8 character name of the rom without the .bin extension Rom Type = One of several. Usually it includes the rom file size. The one highlighted uses the high score cart and is 32K so it uses HSC_32K Bios needed to run rom = THere are several different bios. That particular hack uses the high score cart bios so it just has HSC in there. They can also be made with the java files from this website. 7800.txt
  8. Go to your taskbar and click on the thing I circled in the picture:
  9. Mike sent the attached file to me after I asked him where the instructions were. You can also check here and here.
  10. Boy now THAT's a bargain...........NOT!! Looks like the manual comes pre-bent.
  11. Got #29 today. woohoo!
  12. ahh, so there's actually a seal as well as the twisty thingies? I've been using a micro screwdriver with not much luck.
  13. Anyone got good pictures on how to take off the rf shield? I'm a bit leery of breaking stuff. I don't know if I need to get the twisty thingies straighter still or what. It's a real pain in the butt since the back of the board isn't locked down to anything. I'm afraid I'm going to screw up the controller ports.
  14. Ahh come on it's more fun to argue about copyrights and trademarks because that rarely happens around here.
  15. There are no 7800 emulators for mobile devices?
  16. I ended up with a pirated version of Nero once.........it installed fine but a year later I was trying to get something for free off the Nero website that made me put in my number and it wouldn't work so I emailed them and they told me that number was a pirated one. Otherwise that game is pretty cool but I'd bet you paid full price like it was real so that's not cool.
  17. Yeah the Falls are a tad bit difficult.
  18. I'm just glad that BonQ will be a totally brand new game unlike any that has come before.
  19. There's Karateka. Most people hate it though. If Ninja Golf is martial arts then I'd say M.I.A. is martial arts as well. Mitch is selling the M.I.A. proto right now. Personally I think it's worth getting.
  20. that was uploaded on april 24th.
