PSP Sales = Good News For Sony
VidGameKing replied to NovaXpress's topic in Modern Gaming Discussion
I'll say it agian: The PSP is a stellar Gaming rig, better than my GBAsp, Neo-Geo, Lynx, GG. ( then again the two types of games I really enjoy are FPS and racing games... ) It is on the otherhand, a VERY Sucky Portable DVD Player, a Horrible iPod, a sickening PDA, and a putrid web browser. I carry more than $3000 worth of gadgets with me whereever I go, I consider myself to be fully wired, and yet, wireless. I fully belive that I am the target audience for the PSP, me being a 23y/o single male with a yearly income of $50,000 or more. I feel sorry for the poor people who have been given the PSP and are not the target audience. I think for them, it's like trying to fit a square peg into a round hole. Oh, and another reason I got the PSP, so I can brag! -
It looks like a sony digital camera!
-
I belive in the seperation of usefull gadgets. All in one devices can do alot of things okay, but never any one thing well. This is why I never use the digital camera on my cell phone, or record movies on my digital camera, or veiw photos with my iPod. the PSP brings true 3D graphics to the portable gaming scene, witch I think it does an exelent job. But I'll watch my DVDs on my protable DVD player, and I'll still listen to my iPod. IMHO, the PSP is a game machine, I could care less about the other features. I'm sure I'm not alone in this train of thought too.

Or Untold Legends!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! But I've already got a Pocket PC, Smart Phone, 7.1MP Digital Camera, and an iPod Photo. I'm a single 20-something with disposible income, and, I admit the PSP apeals to me. PS PS2s suck ass!
-
I got me a PSP on Friday, I got the extended warranty, WipEout Pure, and Untold Legands. And I can safely say, without a shadow of a doubt that this new handheld system kicks mondo ass! I'm considering getting a second one. The one I have has two dead pixles, and I called Sony and aparently they are offering to replace every system that had two or more dead pixles free of cost, you simply have to ship it to Texas, and wait three to fivedays for them to ship out your new one. The PSP comes with a sony 1 year warranty so you can exchange it anytime within the first year. Most of my co-workers have PSPs and so does my boss, Yesterday we spent a good half a day playing Untold Legands via Ad-Hoc WiFi it was VERY kick ass! As for it being expensive, I agree, but i also agree that the unit's technology is well worth the cost. It's likely that Sony is loosing some money on the deal too. But their target audience is not your joe 12 year old gamer. Their target audience is 20-something people with disposible income ( Like me ). It's not built for the same amount of abuse that a Nintendo system could take. If you gave the system to your kid, within a month I'll bet you he/she'd be complaining of a scratched screen, and the UMD is always opening when he/she twists it. Where I'm from, SanFrancisco Bay Area, it's next to impossible to find a PSP on any store shelf. I don't know how people in po-dunk nowhere could not have heard about this and get stoked about it to reaserve theirs three months in advance! We've had crazy adds, and billbords and what not! Anyways I like the unit better than my DS. or my Neo-Geo, Then again, I hate 2D games. Give me the spectical! Give me eye candy! Give me gadgets! - Vid

Copying Files From a PC to an Apple IIgs
VidGameKing replied to Tempest's topic in Apple II Computers
I use a CF card in my IIgs, and I can access it on my PC using a program called Conversions Plus from Data Vis, downside is though I can only access the HFS partitions on it, the native II partitions are not readable. -
okay, and of course you may very well say that you think FF is not crap. I am no fanboy, and in all actuality I hate, no, loath RPG games. But I like KOTOR. Strange yes, but hey, it's a good game!
-
Yep. Immature fanboy with the mass intellectual capacity of your average 11 year old, but even they know when to stop and be quiet. Ha ha.

KOTOR II Help please I can't get past this level!
VidGameKing replied to VidGameKing's topic in Modern Gaming Discussion
got it! thanx! -
KOTOR is AWSOME!!!!! the only RPG I'd EVER recomend!!!! every other RPG in the WORLD sucks compared to this game. The sequel on the other hand sorta sucks! KOTOR is WAY better than any of that final fantasy crap, or Zelda, or whatever.
-
okay so I've been playing this game for a bit now, and I'm still stuck on the stupid asteroid. I hope that unlike KOTOR I the first level is not the biggest, because this level is tiny! not micro, but Taris was definetly much bigger. anyways I'm trying to use my Sonic Activator and get three samples of the Maintenance Officer's voice so I can use the Voiceprint ID to unlock the hatch and get to the Dormatories. downside is I've only found two video logs on two computers. I've found the one on the security computer, and I've found the one on the driod admin computer. but where is the third?
-
what? no takers? I'll accept best offer too.
-
It's in slightly used condition, but still quite new! $199 + shipping and it's yours! it's a 20GB Click wheel iPod it didn't come with the remote, but I'mm including one and an extra set of head phones in the deal. It comes complete in box everything is there. including software for he PC or Mac. let me know if you want it.
-
as if there would be some sort of problem bumping it? Or, were you going to bump it, and couldn't get to it soon enough, and we did it before you and saved you the hassle?
-
I got the gist of what you were saying, but there are a few things that threw mw for a loop. Anyways I agree with you.
-
ha ha ha ha ha ha!!!!!!! This is halairious!!!!!!

This thread is just starting to get funny!!!!!!

My eMac's box says: Designed in California, Assembled in USA with other articles of foreign origin as marked thereon so basicly that tells me the chips, the Logicborad, the Drives, the CPU, and everything was made elsewere, and it was all brought to the USA where it was then put together.
