  1. Nah. Not true at all. I agree with adrian, if not for the only fact that my eMac is made in the USA... Therfore I say to you Raijin Z : Nah-uhh!!!!!!!!!!!
  2. wait, the eMac is made in the US????!!!
  3. ohh... I was worried that he was concerned where it was made because he though that the sweat shops in Taiwan are supirior in manufactoring when compared to the sweat shops in mongolia, or bolivia, or china, or the former USSR
  4. yeah, but still that would be better than no drive, or being forced to use the older version to play the games on.
  5. I know it doesn't come with a drive built into it, But if they ever do deside to throw one in it'll probably be pre-built. I was reading somewhere that there was supposed to be six different variations, two of which would be offered in the US? maybe we'll see one with a hard drive for $199 - $249?
  6. Certains comment I don't pensent l'entretien de he'll à vous ! C'et le retour en arrière d'Atari est juste juste pour le marché leur viser.
  7. I've decided to no longer pay attention to new games. I'll only buy a game if the company has already gone under! that way I can ensure a crash!!!!!!! That, and I'll start a new trend about ignoring video games, I'll create a small audience!!!! Won't that be fun!
  8. Kepone, Did you think Atari was still Atari when Warner Communications boght it from Nolan? Or was it still Atari when the Tramels bought it out? I think it's the story of Atari to get bought out and re-sold, and re-invented. It's a smart idea, take a semi successful software company and turn it into Atari! It's not like you could simply start Atari again! all of the original employees are gone, and I doubt the Charters are efective enough to last. So instead use another company as your base, and go from there. True Infogrames is not actually American, and so they have taken the all american Atari name and turned it into a French name. But it's still Atari. [/i]
  9. i VIVA LE ATARI ! You mean the spirit of INFOGRAMES. well... Sorry man. Infogrames has given me a new reason to despise the French. Yeah well...
  10. i VIVA LE ATARI ! You mean the spirit of INFOGRAMES. well...
  11. I'd like to see a new Atari home console. But with a twist! I want it to me minirturized, and I want it to play 15 2600 games, and 5 7800 games! Oh, and I really liked the way the 7800's controlles gave my hands cramps, so I'd love to see it come with those! oh, and one last thing, I want it to be twice as expensive as anything from Jakks Pacific.
  12. I'll probably ask a few people to give it to me as a gift, for my Birth Day in November! or christmas, depending on when it's released
  13. okay, but who is it being sod to? not us collectors!, and not the kids who are playing EverCrack! That system is getting sold to the nestalgic 30 somethings! dudes, who've "mad it big in life" but want to remeber their youth! If I was a 30 something, who only had an XBOX, but I grew up on Atari, and then saw this ad, I might consider getting one!
  14. hmm... Just thought of something, It's going to have breakout, but they don't have any paddle controllers? I wonder if they ever will offer paddle controllers, or if we will just be forced to hack?
  15. Let's go back and actually read the product description before taking the time to write such a lengthy comment shall we? ha ha, thats pretty funny!
  16. another problem is the fact that manufacturing carts is quite expensive, If Atari is going to make a gaming console to eventually compete with the "Big Boys" they'll need to use DVDs like everyone else.
  17. Your mother is not yours to wager. What if you lose her, does she become someone's slave? he he he... I could think of many many many things to say to that... and if your mind is in the gutter, like mine, I'm sure you can think of a few things too!!! he he he...
  18. the problem with that is: what makes you think this system is ACTUALLY a 7800??? or even a 2600???? I'm thinking it's a NES on a chip, or it's a coustom IC. I'm betting it wouldn't have a clue as to what to do with a 7800 or 2600 cart even if you could somehow plug one in. Now, there might be some form of memory card that you can plug in on the bottom with various different games you could play or something to that effect.
  19. Allthough some may say otherwise, I actually agree with you. Sure this is old games, and old hardware, but remeber who Atari really is: Infogrames. They have no one from the Atari we knew, that knows hardware. They are simply a software company with a big name. So they start with their "roots" and work up. To truely know how to make Atari hardware, you must experiance it firsthand. IMHO if "I" were running Atari, I would slowly step up the technology in my "classic" gaming systems untill they were equal to, or better than that of the modern consoles availible at the time. That way I would in effect mature my design and by the time I'm competeing with the big boys again, I know exactly whats up. On the other hand, Atari could stay permanetly fixed in te classic gaming arena, and constantly compete with Jakks Pacific. That would be pretty sad if you asked me! It's okay to be in that market for a little while, while you establish your hardware connections, but once you've succeded at that, you need to rise above the nestolgia and go for SUPERSTARDOME!!!!!
