  1. The BSD License is really short to read (and understandable!) and is included in the distribution. Basically, if you use the library, you just have to say that you used it (but please read the license for the details) I knew Starcat library but I never had a look at it (even I have it). The main functionnalities of the libraries include: - a memory manager (alloc, free) - a pseudo random number generator - a sprite manager (really comfortable to use) - a joypad "manager" The GPU is used by the sprite manager but can be shared with your own code. There are two examples of use of the library bundled with the distribution. One of the example is animated blobs. The other one is a lesson on how to set the blitter registers A pdf documentation explain in more details all the aspects of the libraries.
  2. Hello, The Removers are proud to offer you as a downloadable archive their libraries for coding on Jaguar. It is released under the terms of the new BSD License. Simply follow the link there: http://removers.atari.org/softs/en/download.php The file is a tar gzipped archive and contains some symbolic link. Under filesystem that do not support these, simply copy the source file instead. Beware also of the long filenames. Enjoy!
  3. Actually, GT Turbo has not been precise enough. The interesting part (I find) for (at least) the rotation routine is the explanation I gave to set blitter registers, not the code itself. Cheers Seb
  4. Thank you doctorclu for your positive feedback. I really appreciate it after having read some threads on other forums. Well, unfortunately, I fear it does not do at all what you expect. It is more a coding tool. You can see it as the offspring of Atari tga2cry. It takes an image and converts it in one of the Jaguar format. By the way, I forgot to say that the image formats available are (should be): PNG, JPEG, TIFF, BMP, PPM and maybe GIF (not that TGA format is not supported in particular) Best regards Seb
  5. Hi there, just to say that I finally managed to build binaries of my Jaguar Image Converter that works on Linux x86 and Windows XP without any addtionnal packages. You can find the binaries there: http://removers.free.fr/softs/en/download.php (the sources are also available since I have released it as a GPL licensed program) The XP version needs the cygwin DLL included in the package I have made. Regards Seb/The Removers & JagWare
  6. thanks ! just made a quick bug fix (invisible but still...) and changed a bit the greetings Seb

  9. For those who were not at the AC 2006, here is a little screen that I had shown during the event. http://removers.free.fr/softs/en/download.php (intro, explanation for the BJL) http://removers.free.fr/softs/archives/intro.zip (direct link) Seb
  10. Thank you for your feedback! For those of you who have not it yet, I have put a nero image of the game on my site (thanks to Mathias Domin) http://removers.atari.org/softs/en/ http://removers.atari.org/softs/archives/Atomic.nrg.zip Seb
  11. Thanks for the snapshots! I just want to make precise that it is **only** the module replay routine which was coded by Sinister Development. Seb
  12. Hello everybody, it is my pleasure to announce my first production for the Atari Jaguar. It is an Atomix-like game. You can get it for the BJL kit at http://removers.free.fr/softs/en/download.php. I hope you will enjoy it! Seb/The Removers PS: A thread (in french) about this game is opened at http://jagware.com
