  1. i wanted to know where the 2006 classic gaming expo is being held? it was in burlingame, ca in 2005. is it going to be there again?
  2. i'm using a geocities.com website. it's free and very easy to use. the only bad thing is if you get too much traffic you use up your hourly mb limit. keep the pics kind of small and it usally ok. you can only upload 15 mb of images etc... too. to get around this you can have multiple email accounts and link them together.
  3. i'm very familiar with your site. an amazing collection. your display is awsome too. the number of boxes that you have is impressive. i really like the graphics on them.
  4. i've looked at your site a bunch of times. i would think that it takes a whole bunch of dedication to track down that much stuff. i've done a little browsing in the s.f. bay area but haven't come across anything interesting yet.
  5. while checking out different threads on the atariage website i've come across links to a number of personal atari sites. there are some really impressive collections out there. i think starting a thread listing all of the personal sites would be convenient and cool. if you have a site list it. here is the site i recently made for my original atari collection. http://www.geocities.com/pattheblue/atarihome.html
  6. I still have all of my original Atari 2600 collection that I started in 1980. Even as a kid I was pretty good at taking care of and holding onto my things. I'm actually a little suprised that I don't have the console box still. All of my games are still complete though. I remember how I liked the colorful boxes and the way they looked displayed on my shelves. I just picked up a set of joysticks to replace my broken originals so now I can play some games again. I recently made a website dedicated to all of my original (and only) Atari collection. Here it is!! www.geocities.com/pattheblue/atarihome.html
  7. i was wondering who aquired their rare atari carts when they were first released. for example, buying quadrun through atari age magazine etc.., and how many they picked up this way.
  8. thanks for the offer but i'm probably going to hang on to my collection for now.it has too much sentimental value for me at the moment. everything that i own i picked up when i was 12-15 years old. i may actually try to complete the atari age collection myself. thanks for the info too.
  9. since pulling my atari 2600 out of the closet recently, i've been doing some research on some of what i have. i almost have a complete set of atari age magazines. i'm missing vol 2 #4. i also have the vol 1 #1 newsprint atari age magazine which came out before the traditional slick magazines. i'm curious to know what the value is of these magazines. especially the newsprint vol 1 #1. thanks!
  10. the only console i've ever owned, a sears heavy sixer purchased in 1980. serial # 33851S
  11. i was wondering if there's anyone out there with an early activision dragster certificate like mine? the later examples i've seen on the web appear to have the specific information such as name, cert#, date, typed in. the info on my cert appears to have written by hand. i'm assuming that many of the early one's were like this. please let me know what you think and if you have a certificate post it. thanks!
