no happy colors in GOW? well thats why its called gears of war..theres nothing happy about war...this game rocks! its just the thing to tide you over till halo 3 comes out..now i played resistance fall of man..thats a great game as well..it shows off my ps3 nicely.. but i have to say GOW is better in some respects..in that one you go total leatherface with the chainsaw bayonet! LOL just the thing you need after a stressful day at work.

i think the slimline will play burned dvds..my regular ps2 plays all formats...so you would think the slim ps2 would.(after all its still a ps2) .. ive heard on the xbox some will play some wont...but on my xbox 360 they all work perfectly..

my brother works at a eb games, and he is still amazed that people still have the n gage he gets so many trade ins for that he said he has about 7 traded in this week alone... still i guess some people like it as for me..id rather play a game on a nice big screen tv with stereo speakers..the way it was ment to be

i have gt 1 and 2..gt 3 was a letdown...as for gt 4 well, i think sony pretty much killed this series...i mean its a racing game, and all but give us something fresh... ive seen pics for the new gt for the ps3 and im not impressed project gotham 3 for the 360 looks much better.. see the problem with racing/driving games like this is that they all follow the same formula basically sure its fun for about an hour..but after that im ready to move on... but on the plus side these games actually help make you a better driver

forget the psp this game should be released for the next gen systems..this game looks great

a controller is easier to use in a fps game especially for a console ..i dont know why would somebody want to hook up a large bulky keyboard and mouse to their 360 to me it just sound kinda useless. if you want to use a keyboard play on a computer , my brother is like this as well , everytime we have xbox live tournaments he gets laughed out of the room

i think the kindom hearts games are lame. and are a total waste ..its just disneys way of cashing in on something.. since their films suck..they have to go to gaming

project gotham 3 and dead or alive 4 are must haves for the 360 also blazing angels squadrons of ww2 and last but not least...chromehounds..these should tide you over until halo 3 comes out...

i wonder how much programming/graphics skills you would need to make a simple game with this program.. are there tutorials or is it just "have fun" and good luck, hope you already know what to do... it sounds great cant wait to try it out

well, only time will tell honestly after you get past the huge price sticker on the system, the huge price sticker on games, the lack of launch titles (good or not good), and the yet to be proven controller (as it was rushed at e3, and id like to see how it actually handles with some time in game makers hands).... i think all you are left at at the end that will sell systems to non sony fanboys who will buy it regardless, is the fact that it is new. And dont under estimate this either. While i know many people will be turned away from the system from price alone, I know there are some people who are also going to say "well that 360 is a year old..." and just assume the ps3 is better in graphics and power (even though thats not necessarily true as we have seen from specs). Remember what happened with the dreamcast? The games on that looked just as good if not better in some cases as the ps2 games at first, and the dc was considerably less money. Yet people wanted the "new" thing and ended up killing sega's console. I think with both Nintendo and sony releasing new machines will make the 360 feel that much more left out. Im not saying i dont want the 360 to put a strong fight up against the ps3, all im saying is that microsoft needs to watch themselves here. With the new player being released a little too late (dc adding the dvd player after ps2's launch, now m$ is releaseing the hd dvd player after its own launch to compete, which makes the 360 higher in price), the good line up of games that didnt seem to matter for some reason compaired to the new hardware coming out (dc had PLENTY of good software before the ps2 game out, so it had a head start as the 360 has), and the perseption of the 360 being "older".. id say the 360 and dc relation is a bit similar (excpet for the fact that miscrosoft didnt have a "saturn" that was a bust the previous generation in america). So despite all of sony's bad decisions, i wouldnt count them out.... you never know, microsoft just may be in the worser position... and with the japanese sales being more prominent (most likely) for ps3, that will only help thier sales over 360.

I've always been straight up with the employees at EB... I usually have to train the new employees but the manager knows I like my games sealed and mint! I usually ask how many copies of a game are left and if there are more than the number on the wall I figure there's a sealed one for me. The Manager knows when I ask. When asked if I wanna save $ by buying the used copy I say no thanks. If they give me any more questions I ask them... why would I want a used game for $5 less than the new one? If the discounts were worth it, I would be more interested in getting used games. There used to be a comic shop that used to sell games back in the NES/SuperNES days that had a policy for selling games... if it was $50 new, they sold it for $25... that's when I would consider buying used games. yep, that pretty much sums it up...i dont know where they find their employees at... i would have demended to see the manager

i think both systems will average about the same in power, but its what you do with that power thats important. first off microsoft is doing things right from the start with the 360 great pricepoint, games, promotion, the whole deal if you get a 360 you will love it..and as for the defects...its very slim and none now..ive had mine since launch last year and no problems at all...cant wait for the hd dvd drive attatchment. as for sony... sure the playstation 2 still has a STRONG following (its a great system) and some of the sony loyalty will carry over to the ps3 ..im looking forward to it also BUT... the system has so much against it so far...first delays etc...second the UBER high price tag..600 for a system..thats ludacris.. you cant be able to pre order it at most stores..which is very upsetting to customers...the lack of preview of software.. the whole blu ray fiasco...sure the ps3 is going to be a good system, but i think this one will end sony's venture in the system market...if theres a ps4..sony should take a lesson from microsoft .. dont get me wrong, im sure the ps3 will be great, but they are messing it up with the way they are promoting it so far.... in the end im siding with microsoft on this one..

gamecrazy is another one..i stay clear of them...last month i went into one just because its accross from my work...and i saw blazing angels for the 360 for 59.00 (new or so i thought) when the clerk handed me the game i noticed it was a used copy with no manual..i said hey this is used..whats up with this price? wheres the manuel? he claimed the guy returned it the next day...these guys are rip off artists... then i asked for a new copy and i got a long story abouit how they dont have more in stock bla bla..needless to say i didnt buy it... these clerks are full of shit sometimes you can smell it before you open the door they also had some snes games there , my friend was shocked when they had a copy of batman returns for 34.00 and it was loose no manual etc.. i mean who prices these games?? the clerk said its a hot rare game...righttt back in 1992 it was thats why i can find tons of that title on ebay for under 10.00 a lot of my friends have had similiar experiences with this particular store location and we have reported the management... a few days later that store stopped selling classic games of the snes /nes...i wonder why? could it be that they got caught screwing the consumer I'm not a Game Crazy spokesman, but that doesn't sound at all like the two that I frequent. All of their SNES games are priced at either $4.99 or $9.99. Now some of their Genesis games and all of thier GB/GBC games are overpriced, but not like that. As for the selling a used game for new, I'm sure that clerk was being a jerk. But to me for used games, Game Crazy is heads above Game Stop. well somebody at that store was ripping off people...now they dont sell the snes/nes games anymore..thanks to a phonc call to corporate:) and to the neighborhood paper...that will teach them we dont stand for shit like that in chicago also, i dont know where they get their sales people...but they should train them better

wow he said that? and last i checked, my freind who works at best buy isnt treated to yet to be released hardware. Hell when i worked at toys r us before and we got kiosks after the launch of the system itself, so customers played the unit before we could lol. well i work at best buy, and i can say thats a lie..sure we have some ps3 s in the warehouse already(kiosk also), but they are under lock and key and are actually counted daily.... but i know how that guy felt as well...when i go into a game store (gamestop etc even another best buy etc) i hate being pounced upon as well with the phony may i help you? i say this to the clerk... thanks, but if i need some help ill ask you ok ..and if they still follow me around, i will say well hey guess what? you lost a big sale here..and go someplace else.. this usually pisses them off..hey when im not at work im a customer too i know how it is.. and for the record (im a dept manager ) my store has this policy,that if a customer gets unruly and shouts profanity at any employee..we have the right to have security remove them from the store...or call the police if the matter gets out of hand i remember one time this unstable guy kicked an employee because he turned his back on him after he said they were out of some game ...we had his ass hauled off to jail.. i mean cant people behave themselves in public anymore?
