gamecrazy is another one..i stay clear of them...last month i went into one just because its accross from my work...and i saw blazing angels for the 360 for 59.00 (new or so i thought) when the clerk handed me the game i noticed it was a used copy with no manual..i said hey this is used..whats up with this price? wheres the manuel? he claimed the guy returned it the next day...these guys are rip off artists... then i asked for a new copy and i got a long story abouit how they dont have more in stock bla bla..needless to say i didnt buy it... these clerks are full of shit sometimes you can smell it before you open the door they also had some snes games there , my friend was shocked when they had a copy of batman returns for 34.00 and it was loose no manual etc.. i mean who prices these games?? the clerk said its a hot rare game...righttt back in 1992 it was thats why i can find tons of that title on ebay for under 10.00 a lot of my friends have had similiar experiences with this particular store location and we have reported the management... a few days later that store stopped selling classic games of the snes /nes...i wonder why? could it be that they got caught screwing the consumer

gamestops have changed a lot over the past year... and not for the better.. the help they have there is pathetic i went in asking a question about god of war 2 and the clerk gives me this brain dead look so i asked to speak to the manager (i mean it wasnt a hard question at all) and she was like they made a part 2? and she said i cant reserve a copy because she claims that she could not enter it in the computer... i mean its not fricking rocket science or anything how do they train these people?? and i didnt even bother asking about ps3 info because i didnt want her to have to use up all of her last remaining brain cell....she will need that to count her change for the bus after work... the funny thing is it seems its like this at most of these game stores now..what gives?

That didn't bother me nearly as much as the fact that Trip Hawkins repeatedly gloated over the fact that the A8 wasn't doing very well in comparison to the C64 and did everything that he could to undermine future success of the platform. I believe he even provided an interview to Compute! in '85 or '86 in which he stated that EA had several titles for the A8 (e.g. "Skyfox"), but wouldn't release them -- present market be damned! Let me tell you, I was extremely pleased to later read that he had received his comeuppance with the 3DO. Very well-deserved. yeah i know what you mean..also i never understood the facination with mail order monsters i know one guy that loves it so much to this day..he says its the best game ever...i beg to differ.

i agree...its the gameplay that matters some 2d games even look better than some of the newer games on the market its all on how they are presented. SNK doesn't make that kind of 2-D, in fact most of SNKs games look awful. Those chunky low res sprites were fine in the early 90's but look awful now. Hell they looked pretty old in 1995 as well when compared to capcoms games. when i refer to 2d i always think of capcom.. capcom is the best period (street fighter series marvel, x men etc) even midway (mortal kombat) ranks up there as well ...although snk had good 2d titles..I still play my neo geo aes system, those games rocked..and are still fun. but the quality of the stuff they put out now is poor.

sony makes me sick... yea, sony's moto is "how far can we push our customers... {nudge} did that bother you? I'm so sorry... {nudge} did that bother you? .... well, too bad.. thats life." with all these things surronding the ps3 you wonder is it really worth it at all? sure i WAS looking forward to it but now i might wait a while..i have a 360 already and cant be happier with it...and sony said that they will still be publishing ps2 games for a while(possibly 2 years) sony is just employing bad marketing..plain and simple...sure its a fact of life, it dosent mean you have to like it personally ,i hope the 360 knocks out the ps3

ive read that certin publishers cant get hold of the development kits for the ps3 or they just dont want to deal with that system all together because of the blu ray. and other programming issues

The one problem with pre-orders right now is that nobody knows the actual prices. So stores will price at a higher price just to be safe. I guess if Sony wants to position the PS3 as the premium game system this generation, then pricing games at a higher price point makes sense. After all they will be using Blu-Ray discs and not DVD's. pre orders?? where? i work for best buy, and we are not taking any pre orders for the ps3 or its games...its first come first serve..as for the games the 64.99 is ONLY estimated..it might be more or mabey less..but im betting more..nobody can get a exact quote..this is really pissing off a lot of customers. not to mention us employees as well..

Judging by your alias, I figured you'd say that. id rather clean carts then worry about scratching my game discs up... but a cd can hold a whole lot more data so thats the trade off..

see im just the opposite..ive played the rebel assult games on the pc and i did not like it at all..i was soo happy when they came to the playstation..to me it feels better control wise..different strokes for different folks i guess..i dont even miss the analog stick yep Bounty hunter is awesome..the storyline is well written and you actually get a understanding for the character of jango fett..you know where he is coming from.. this game is a winner all around !

republic commando is excellent, that has to rank up there with the revenge of the sith game... battlefront 2 i was a little dissapointed with..it plays a little better than the first one..but there could have been more added to it...i do like the space combat aspects though.. as for the knights of the old republic series, i also dont see what the big fuss is about sure its a great attempt for the rpg crowd but,i found it boring actually still its a hell of a lot better than star wars galaxies ..i dont know anybody who likes galaxies i had mine for about a month, then i sold mine on ebay.. im sorry ,i think it really sucks that you have to pay a monthly fee to play a game ,i have a broadband connection (comcast) and the game always lagged in loading or froze all together it just wasnt worth it theres something out there called real life..

tell me about it. Soviet Strike for my saturn just begs to be played... with the nice graphics and good controll... but the game makes jungle strike, desert strike, and urban strike look easy enough to play in your sleep. The problem is that i seem to get lost easily in soviet strike as the camera isnt fixed. At first i liked it as it really showed that the series was now 3d, but at the same time, it was much easier to tell where on the map you were when the camera was stuck in 3/4 view. i think it is ironic though, that my one roomate, who is a fan of the snes games in the series, who sucks in most 3d games hard core, was able to pick it up and beat the mission on the second try after getting the controlls down...... i hate him lol soviet strike for the saturn is always good..that game gets better all the time

anybody remember PIGSKIN for the genesis? ..the game with the barbarians throwing a pig around that game is hilarious

i always liked imagic...they turned out great products for the 2600..if they were still around today, i bet the games they made would be superb ..as for atari its just the name thats all its a totally different company. but its still nice to see the atari name out there..even though its not the same

yeah, cartridges were cool..i still prefer that format because of the durability factor.. i remember once my cousin took apart a old 2600 cartridge and he was like this is it?

I always thought the coleco telestar was the oldest! i still get a kick out of the atari xe system commercial pitting it up against the nintendo nes.. the atlantis commercial was funny.. "the gorgon death ray!!" still cracks me up...
