Sexta 13 is Halloween. Oh... Is it literally "Friday (the) 13(th)" though? Guess I've never seen that one.

For the record, I did get my set safe and sound. (But Rick, not lead sinkers ringed with Meissen porzelan!)

At the time, only one had been found, and the best guess was Alligator People. Noone was trying to gyp, or even fool, you. Imagine our surprise when the real Alligator People popped up! :-)

I'm pretty sure that both are pirated... I'm not sure what Dream Flight is a pirate of, but Kung Fu is probably a pirate of Karate, a really bad game.

I've worked here and there on getting these released... The owner of the first seemed amenable to releasing it, though had some concerns about it losing it's uniqueness. However, he couldn't make time to come to a get-together where it could be dumped, and has been mostly uncontactable since. I don't know if he's trying to be unreachable so that people can't ask about it, or if he's really just busy, but this one might be a bit of a lost cause. The owner of Pink Panther is mainly worried about the rights, which I've tried looking into but hit some walls. Hopefully I'll find the time to get back on the trail "soon"...

There WAS a 2600 version planned too -- it was called "Maddenness" at some point in its life.

I'm pretty sure the title is just a pun... "Demolition Derby" + "Herbie" (as in Herbie the Love Bug?) = "Demolition Herby". Always thought it was kind of a dumb name though.

Back issues are available. There wasn't much in there, just a picture, and a letter from the guy who brought it to my attention. I was mainly pointing out that it's not entirely unheard of. As to your question about eBay, I believe they only keep auction listings 30 days.

Phew! Yeah, I know I can check the site, just don't get to do it much, so I rely on AA & DP to keep me abreast of other sites.

I actually got mine from Bob Brown, but it didn't work for years until Sean Kelly replaced a bad EPROM(s) with copies of a working unit. Sadly, it's missing the lid, but my consolation was that I have it from the source. :-) I still haven't gotten a complete one though, so if there's a relatively cheap source out there, I'd sure like to know about it.

Actually, 2600 Connection printed a pic of one of these a while back, so it's not totally unheard of... But, it is fairly rare I suspect, so an auction on eBay could net you a nice sum.
