  1. I turned on my computer at 6:50 and did some other stuff before checking Ebay. So I ended up being one minute late to the party! Nice buy dude!
  2. I actually asked this question a year or so ago: http://www.atariage.com/forums/viewtopic.p...&highlight=mash Luckily, I didn't take $15 as a basis when I sold it privately.
  3. Oh, yeah. I assumed since in was in Pounds.... I'm glad I decided long ago not to collect boxes - I'm sure my wife is too.
  4. I have an NTSC version of this (loose), and hadn't considered it a rare item. I kept it only because it looks cool. Is it just the PAL version that's commanding the high prices?
  5. Guilty as charged. Looking at that link a few messages up, I can't believe I got so bent out of shape over this issue, though the thread did turn into a fairly good debate. I think all this upsets some people because they're trying to be successful in this game while playing by the rules. It's like when someone cuts in line - it just kind of makes you mad.
  6. Agreed. Sorry everybody, I was just enjoying antagonizing him. This is my last post.
  7. I know it's in my best interest to let this die, but going through my emails, I found Povlok's initial request to fix the problem I wasn't in the mood to spend $20 to help this kind of guy.
  8. That part I won't argue. In this case, it was a single accident (messing up the list of who paid me) that caused more than one incident. But even I'll admit it was wreckless. Hopefully the lesson learned here is to take your time when leaving feedback, regardless of how many auctions you run. I know I will.
  9. Cool! You threatened to drive to Texas to take me on also. Maybe you could make a road trip out of it!
  10. Actually I have 3. You're a "glass is half empty" kind of guy, aren't you? You just can't accept that I might be honest. I personally have a few negatives that were left either by people who didn't realize that they had inactive email accounts or by retaliating non-bidders (my favorite is "this guy plays with doo doo") They haven't affected my sales one bit, so paying $20 to get rid of one is a bit steep, regardless of the reason. Also, I was surprised by Mr. Wolfman's comment above, so I checked my archive and found this. Perhaps he never got them. I don't think I wrote Ebay again, since I was still waiting to hear from them. then
  11. I'm really surprised that I didn't, regardless of how much money you spent. If that's the case, then I apologize.
  12. You think I have a bad attitude? Have you actually read what you posted here? I am truly devastated that you won't be bidding on my auctions, but you'll be happy to know that I plan to exit the Atari "business" by March - there's too many people taking all of this too seriously (though I will be keeping my collection). For the rest of you, here's a small sample of what I'll be getting rid of starting in January:
  13. Thanks, but I remember reading this after Mr. Povlok called me (he was quite anxious about his precious feedback - if I knew he would have settled for a follow-up, this thread would be shorter). Unfortunately, the condition for removal is: Negative feedback intended for another member will be considered for removal only in situations where the member responsible for the mistaken posting informs eBay of the error and has already placed the same feedback for the correct member. This does not apply to a comment that was mistakenly marked negative instead of positive or vice versa. Since the mix-up caused me to leave POSITIVE feedback for the other person, this situation seems not to apply. I did contact Ebay at the time and did not receive a response.
  14. Done. Was that so hard? I thought you said I could somehow remove the negative, but I don't think that's possible.
  15. I don't mean to antagonize you further, but are you ready to tell me how to revise the feedback or do you want to complain some more?
  16. Thanks. I remember the whole package hit Ebay in 1999, but that was back when I reluctantly paid $14 for a Music Machine, so I wasn't about to spend a couple hundred bucks for it.
  17. You are a moron. The contest started in July and ends at the end of the year. There are seven people in the running - but not you, because you are a sad, untrusting soul. The "ad" was still in my signature and has been removed. As for the negatives, I was running a couple hundred auctions back then. I had a whole lot of deadbeat bidders, and I got a few people mixed up (I also left those same people positive feedback on other auctions). I apologized to each and tried unsuccessfully to reverse it. You kept saying I could, but would never tell me how. Tell me how to fix and I will, otherwise quit your whining! I have always been honest in my dealings (5 years now) and I'm insulted that you would suggest otherwise.
  18. On the US Ebay, this game routinely brings $50 without the box.
  19. Anyone know what this is? Never seen it before. Some scumbag ended the auction before I could bid on it. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...7&category=3528[/url]
  20. I knew something was wrong, but hadn't thought of identity theft. The language used here is very different from robbie's older auctions. What's the chance that the check needs to be sent to a PO box that's not in Vegas?
  21. Oh no, not the Imperial douchebags again ...or sit on their computers complaining about people sitting on their computers. Actually, it doesn't sound like you're being happy. Try sniping - it's better than crack!
  22. I sold a gatefold basic math last year for $4. I didn't consider it very valuable myself, but I don't collect boxes.
  23. Awesome! I've been waiting for five years for fumaatumalafalla to show up on Ebay. I won't be able to afford it so I hope the winner takes a picture for Atari Age.
  24. Collecting prototypes carries risk. That's a given. What's worring me now is the growing number of reproductions being sold on ebay. Although the sellers are honest and are disclosing the fact that they are repros, they can (and will) be resold as the genuine thing. And it's often hard to tell what you have without removing the label and opening the cartridge. I fear the value of hard to find games will diminish when their authenticity becomes questioned. Sorry for the sidenote.
