  1. Has anyone let the seller know how much he lost out on? I kind-of wanted to let him know, but don't want him to be flooded with emails. The lesson: don't use BIN if you don't know exactly what you have!
  2. I get copier paper boxes from work, then cut them down to 6 inches. They fit 70 games each nice and snugly and keep the dust out. But that's temporary. I'm planning on building a big display case as soon as I hone my woodworking skills.
  3. When I saw River Patrol was pulled, I wrote: Bummer. Are you going to list it by itself, or did someone cheat the rest of us by buying it off of you? (I really hate when people do that. Does that mean I have to make offers to get good games, rather than play by the rules?) Then he replied yeah man someone offered me $2300 for it, but i felt it was to much so i gave it to him for free. Ah...sarcasm. Freakin' chump! Glad to see his reserve wasn't met.
  4. Creative add-ins are always cool, as long as it doesn't inflate the price too much. How is this going to be released?
  5. If you're looking for free 2600 prices, try AtariGuide.com. That used to be my site. I think he still maintains the price guide, and it's reasonably accurate.
  6. My understanding is that Challenge was sold by Zellers in Canada. It's got the Ghostbusters picture on the front, but I don't think it has anything to do with Ghostbusters. There are many foreign games where the picture doesn't match the game.
  7. I got my Atlantis II a couple years ago, when I guess folks weren't scanning the ebay adds so well (It came with 20 other games for about $25). The guy mentioned in the ad that the auction included "Atlantis II, which was won in a some kind of contest". So I bought it just in case it really was something special (though I figured it wasn't). I just have the cartridge, and it looks just like a regular Atlantis game, except the user had etched a "II" into the label with a pen. I figured it was just his "second copy", that he had labeled accordingly. I would have sold it, but I tried it out and just happened to notice the different score font. I was glad to hear when AtariAge was able to confirm what it was, just wish I had the paperwork that came with it. Sorry for the length - just happens to be my best "great find" story.
  8. I have on of those "Raiders Lost Ark" games, at least I think I do. I didn't think it was very special so I might have sold it - maybe not so smart.
  9. One or two lucky people have straddled the old/new with their orders of 2 units, so they will be able to comment on them. ---------------------- Darn, I didn't know you could order two! I would have liked to have had one of each.
  10. I was fortunate to find one on Ebay about 3 years ago. It was in a lot of about 15 games. I paid $30. At the time I thought that was too much to pay for a game, but I did it anyway. Now I've paid over $500 for a game. Who knew?
  11. Well, it looks like I have a Cubicolor now. It's alot of money, but you only live once. If it turns out to be fake, you'll hear me crying from miles away. The only thing that bugged me is that 3 of the bidders had "wolf" in their name....maybe suspicious but I won't complain.
  12. This week I sold my website AtariGuide.com. It's hard to say goodbye to something you've worked hard on, but now I have time for other things. The guy I sold it to has some neat ideas for it, so it should be worth visiting. Thanks to all who supported me. I'll still be on Ebay, and I can be contacted at http://www.bloatedmonkey.com.
  13. I remember seeing a picture of what the box would look like, but I can't find it now. Is that still around somewhere?
