  1. I am certainly no fan of minors being sold games they shouldn't, but this legislation is the definition of ambiguous.
  2. I'm still in the market for Edna Crabopoly!
  3. Nice work, Daniel! Congrats!!!
  4. Licensing issues are usually the correct answer and were in the case of the Anthology vs. Remix versions. In this case, the remix was done a year later and more time was available to get those extra games. Off the top of my head, I honestly am not sure if Demon Attack was included in the GBA, but I know for a 100% fact that game is in the PS2 Anthology. I have it running at my desk right now and played it just yesterday. The complete list of additional games included in the PC Remix version is: ATLANTIS 2 BLOODY HUMAN FREEWAY CLIMBER 5 COSMIC ARC DRAGONFIRE FATHOM FIRE FIGHTER LASER GATES NO ESCAPE! OKIE OYSTRON QUICK STEP RIDDLE OF THE SPHINX SHOOTIN' GALLARY SKATEBOARDIN' SKELETON+ SKY PATROL SOLAR STORM SPACE TREAT DELUXE STAR VOYAGER SUBTERRANEA TRICK SHOT VAULT ASSAULT VENETIAN BLINDS VIDEO EUCHRE WING WAR PROTOTYPE 1 PROTOTYPE 2
  5. Cool setup indeed! Is that giant mug Atari or Activision?
  6. A vacuum cleaner with the hose attachment does a pretty good job at faking it, though. If you're doing this, you're destined to become a laughing-stock at an ER near you at some point in the future..!
  7. More like it was the only strong franchise they had left for a while after they f'ed everything else up in 94/95 onward. It certainly wasn't their top historical earner. edit: cool...I'm a space invader! /waddles menacingly in your direction...
  8. Looks like BVG (Disney) has picked up the Turok license. I didn't get to see much of it at the show, but fans at least have some hope for a future title. The original Turok was a great game and the guys down at Iguana did a great job on it. We all know the long slope down which Acclaim then slid and this and other franchises followed. Fischback's insistance on continuing to throw money at bad ideas was really what did them in: Buy Iguana, Probe and Scupltured all the same year and don't triple your revenue Throw million upon million into franchises like Shadowman, even though the first one sold under 10k unit and all of your people tell you to can it Walk away from or alienate through shoddy business practices groups/deals for DoA3 with the Valiant license characters for 2 mill., UFC with ECW characters/wrapper for 1.8 mill., etc., etc., etc. I could go on, but I've got work to do. Acclaim had its share of glory and success. Sadly, it could have gone on for years. We had some really amazing talent back in the day and I still hold fond memories from there, even though we worked our butts off.
  9. Anyone happen to know of any musicians/bands that are proclaimed fans of the system and its games?
  10. LOL...nice video! I agree; I would never wait in a line like that! Fortunately, one my best friends is a director at NOA and got us in on Friday. He tried on Thursday, but the 500 GameStop employees got the area all to themselves for the last 1.5 hours that day. One of the girls in our office actually waited in line for over an hour that day, only to be told that GameSTop was in and she'd have to come back later. Fortunately, I was able to get her in on Friday with us. Even after getting inside, there were some pretty long wait times just to get your hands on a controller. Took us nearly 45 mins to get on Zelda and 30 mins for Super Monkey Ball. Tennis and the target shoot were much less of a wait, but you only got one short time period and had to hand over the controller. That's about all the time I had. While I applaud the attempt to innovate, I can't really say that I am sold on the new controller. I am certainly looking forward to Zelda, Mario and Monkey Ball though! The one thing that a lot of us forget is that E3 is a Sales show, first and foremost. The buyers are first priority, press second priority and the rest of us game shlobs a distant third.
  11. Always been a Nintendo fan and can't wait to see what they show tonight at their party. ('course I'll have to wait, 'cause I can't seem to get the 1up vid to load...) My buddies at EA are pretty stoked about the FIFA version they are working on for the Wii! Has the name "Wii" grown on anyone yet??? Not so sure it has for me. Most times when it's mentioned in the office, someone cringes or chuckles... Maybe it will grow on us like Dreamcast did after they changed to that from the Katana...
  12. Thanks for the suggestion. I'm generally a fairly personable guy, so hopefully I don't let you down!
